Sorry for the delay! But hope you enjoy this video and find it useful in any way. Lots of love to 90k MegFam ☁️ 🥺🥺😭😭🙏🙏
I recommend to do GRATITUDE JOURNAL ❤, to all the people out there feel that they also can't do everyday planner sort of stuff ❤ gratitude journal at the start of a day will also be a good option is what I feel... If they don't wanna spend too much time in planner
I've learnt so much from my planner mistakes last year. This year I know exactly what I need-
1. Hardbound not spiral
2. Monday to Sunday layout
3. Multiple spreads not needed
4. Max budget 1500
Woww! i second you hehe! 🙌❤️
Exactly I agree 😇 .. With all the points
I also bought hardbound second time after buying spiral the 1st time.
@@richapatel but y ???
why not spiral ?? plz reply
Thank you so much for bringing this issue to light. I had bought the Alicia Souza planner for this year and was consistent from Jan - May, after which I stopped using it everyday and finally found it a bit overwhelming this month, mainly due to my mental health. But I make to do lists everyday and that helped me a lot. I still felt like I need to use a planner, because I wasn't in touch with my goals with just keeping to do lists. Like you said I've been working on finding out what really works for me and I feel I need to settle for a minimalistic planner that sort of help me journal as well as track my day to day life. Loved this video 💜✨
Bang on! I resumed my planner from August and yes there are blank pgs after April...so I was disappointed looking at those but somehow had courage to restart and it was fun but yes I do get bored or do not require it daily...
So this year Budget friendly planner is something I am looking forward to so that I do not regret spending so much..🙂
I got ink bucket planner this year for a starter and have been using it as to do list and journalling. When I don't have to do list for the day , I prefer to use it for journalling and jot down the highlights of my day. I agree it got overwhelming after I resigned from my job and did not have "to do list" to note down and ended up using it as journal. Journalling can be done in any budget friendly planner or simple note book.
This is exactly what happened with me. I stopped using my planner since April this year and all the other things you mentioned are very relatable. But, yeah it's okay not to use it sometimes. Anyways, your opinions from both perspectives are so right and practical.
Thank you so much for letting us know that we have so many similarities in this context as well.🤩😉
Loved this video Megs! 😘 I've loved your planner and planning videos so much. Last year I purchased The Art Loom planner, which I love. BUT ended up using it less as it proved to be heavy and bulky for me to carry around daily.. although it was much smaller and lighter than the Ink Bucket, Alicia Souza ones. So i am going to go for a Petite Planner from Neorah. Plus they are super cute! 🥰❤️
Tbh I look forward your planner review every single time. It's is most awaited video of the year😄 but over the years i ve found out that diy ring binder planner in which i can add and take out pages work the best for me !
Wishing a speed recovery of your family Megs❤Thanks for this one!! I really need this as I'm planning to have a planner coming year!! ❤❤You're the best❤
I feel that sticking to one brand helps better. Experimenting with new planners sometimes becomes exhausting and kills the zest to continue. Also maintaining a planner gives a structure and makes us more accountable.
This year I have made my own planner with all that columns that I thought I will need but there where columns that I don't end up using, so now I kind of no what I want from my planner and I will agree that planner really give us structure to our daily routine❤️❤️❤️ it is you who introduced me to all this planning world and I am just loving it and I will say that this has made my year so much more organised❤️❤️🔻🔻
Thank you for this video 💜 I went from bullet journaling to kiki.k to jibun techo to Hobonichi/MD and back to jibun techo. However, I found myself using it mainly for weekly planning. Like you say, I noticed I'm missing the bigger picture, or how are all the little routines or habits adding up. Next year, I decided I needed more out of my planner and I'm going to go with JT and making full use out of it by getting the starter kit. Hope it sticks.
Hi. I watched your planner series last year, got really inspired and bought the Factor Notes planner for myself. It was 1000 bucks, I took it as an investment and I stand by it. This is my first time owning a planner.
As we're in September and I've religiously used my planner so far (touchwood), here are my conclusions.
• I have active and passive goals everyday. Things that need to be done, reminders, etc go on Google Calendar. Things I have done, money I have spent, books I read, songs I discovered, what I ate every day goes into my planner. So essentially I use my planner to record things I have gotten done.
• I can't do without a colourful planner. If you are into simpler setups, totally your call. My motivation for using my planner is how colourful the pages are. I absolutely love colouring my feelings every day.
• Using a pencil to fill in a planner is the best way to get over the initial jitters. So far I've finished 1 pencil so that's budget friendly. Go for pencils with an eraser attached to it.
• Stickers aren't essential. I am very kanjoos at using stickers, so getting that additional sticker book isn't worth my money at least.
• Every corner of a planner can be further customised. I recently changed a travel essentials list page into "things I bought and loved". That way I now know products I'll definitely repurchase.
So this is how I use my planner - more as an extension of my memory. Yes you can do it on apps but recording it on paper looks more lasting to me. I'll definitely buy a new planner around Christmas. Filling a planner is my act of being accountable to myself. It's good to check in with myself everyday ☺️
Ahh you read my mind! I agree 💯 and use my planner the same way! To record things that have been done and not necessarily to "plan" active stuff. So happy you're sticking to it and that it keeps you accountable! Such lovely insights! 😍 ❤️ 🙌
which planner are you getting for 2023 plz reply
@@Aimanrahim23 I might get Factor Notes again. Other planners are exciting but I am now quite comfortable with Factor Notes so I will give it a second chance. After that I might get a different planner.
This is so relatable. I used my planner only till Feb and then I started feeling overwhelmed to just open it and drop down my thoughts but this month I felt like doing it and it is going great. Maybe I just needed a break but yes, I was productive whether I used a planner or not and that's what really matters. Next year I'm going to try a minimal and budget friendly planner.
Ahh I feel ya! 😅 and good conclusion! Practical 🙌💯❤️
A daily to do list in a pocket note book is the only planner i use and it works very well for being productive and structured. However I maintain a separate book where i make my vision board and goals. I keep referring to them once a while and keep adding goals to my daily to do list depending on the phase of life i am in and it helps me reach most of my goals every year. This method has been working for me the best. So i continue with it ...
Btw, Megs plz upload more videos... We need more dosage of Megs in our lives ❤
I am a huge planning addict and earlier I used to just use random hard bound diaries and divide it into categories based on my needs. In the lockdown, i started w bullet journaling as pinterest has amazing templates and it was a good hobby to pass some time. But now that everything is back to normal, I am mostly into digital recording.
I use the following apps'
Google Calendar as planner
TV time for tracking shows and movies
Goodreads for books
Day one for journalling
Presently as gratitude journalling
Sticky note for imp reminders on home screen
And I do carry a small notebook if the need arises (because sometimes paper and pen feels more comfortable) but life is easier now.
Wow! Thanks for the suggestions 😻❤️
Thanks Meghana ! This is so relatable .
Absolutely love how real you are 💗
I totally relate to this !!! It was since 2020 that I started watching these planner videos and before that I was using mostly phone or paper and then I got introduced to the Bullet Journal method. So that year I tried that till around mid 2021 and then I started getting into planners and then after researching for around 3 months I chose a planner for myself but then around May 2022 I got much more commitments in my life and I got busy .. the only things that I still use consistently are the habit tracker portion and goal setting for the month … then I use a simple small notebook as my to-do list. So for the next year I am looking for a way to combine all these … anyways love ur videos megs … from Kerala 😍😍
lovedd this video and loved this discussion and personally i agree for me not using planner = lack of structure too!
Very well put together Meghna ☺️I tried using a planner this year and for the exact same reason of not being able to decide which one will work, I ended up creating my own spreads on a simple notebook. All I can say is that you need to keep evolving until you find out what planning system works for you ✌️
I am gonna purchase my first planner that is doodle (500 hundred rupee)
As I am a student so I am gonna purchase a budget friendly planner
And i think i will be more productive with a planner because I almost wasted this year without planning and now needed to work harder on studies and competitive exams
Thank you for video ❤️
The best video on planners .
Just loving it ❤
This video was so so needed 👍🏻
So True, even i bought ink bucket planner, but could not make full use of it & it was so overwhelming, thanks for sharing your thoughts
Great content and nicely put.
Much needed thoughts! Your videos are always relatable like a girl next door…
Means a lot! Thank you 🥺💕
This year i bought a planner watching your videos, but ended up not using it as i feel its alot of thing to do . I find my ways , a normal to-do list works for me and for my thoughts i maintain separate journal
You are the best!!🙌
This was such an honest video Megs.
Congratulations on the 90 k 🎊 🎉
Thank you
I was waiting for this video
This was really helpful… 🎉 Thank you very much ❤
I started using planner in last 2 years. But it becomes overwhelming . As in this 2 years I h had a baby and now I am a new mom. I don’t have a set routine . I don’t have 15 minutes at night to myself . I would rather make a mental todo list at night and reflect my day as I fall asleep
What I have learnt from this year after using Tall elephant planner (It's a good planner but didn't work for me.) :
Minimum spreads (I started keeping track of movies I watched or books I read but it doesn't make sense to me, instead I talk to someone about that and it feels better.)
Daily journalling does not work for me. Because, fortunately I have friends with who I talk without a filter and that's basically my brain dump. I am living a routine usual life so i don't have much to write. Also, if I have such moments where I want to write I express in poetry. And publish it on TTT.
3-4 habit trackers max at once
Minimum yearly spreads ( yearly trackers, places to travel, book i read, movie, series list, having a mind map page when I have the visions / goals section- these did not work for me)
Mood trackers does not work for me
Vertical setting in daily pages because I rely on to-do list
Weekly pages are the best thing
Meal planners are a good addition
Omg this was so insightful! I love the idea of sharing things with your loved ones and even expressing it creatively through poetry. Minimalst spreads seem to be the way to go! Thanks for sharing 😻❤️
@@MeghnaVerghese Anytime. Glad you started a conversation about the necessity of a planner. Another thing I love it when planners have lesser colours so that I can do something of my own. Too many doodles or colours just limit me within those specific boundaries.
Great video btw. Always love your content. Are you going to do plannerthon this year as well?
@@nerdbird9332 yess mostly October onwards 🙌
@@nerdbird9332 Hi!! I had the exact same experience with the tall elephant planner. So, it was my first ever planner and seeing the colorful layout, I blindly bought it. But it turned out very overwhelming. The mood trackers, movie lists, yearly vision boards, these didn't work for me too. Felt very superficial for some reason. And like you said, I couldn't customize it either, even draw a simple doodle.
May I ask which planner you bought this year, if any? I'm eyeing the neorah petite one. It's a black and white planner with weekly pages and expense tracker.
@@swetha751 hey i got the alicia souza one. I bought the undated one in the middle of the year and it's working okay for me. There are not many pages to fill on every day basis. Also appropriate space for a student. For me personally I loved the alicia souza aesthetic more than anyone. And that actually made a difference.
Much much much needed video thank you Meghna ❤
Ohhh my god I was so confused abt getting a planner or not as I also use it for 3-4 months and then only when I wish to and now only a few lines r written on it
But i am so glad u helped me out
Thank u so much ♥️♥️
Same for me..when I don't use the planner I feel something missing..they'll always be things on my mind constantly so I would rather write it down...than forget it later.
I love to have notes, digital planner oft reminders and physical planners too.
I started from a small budget planner from happy wagon I think.
And this year from cup of nostalgia a local brand.
Loved using it definitely but i stop using it in the middle of the year idk why. But I start using it again cuz of something missing....yes the cycle repeats 😆 🤣
Overall love a planner. Gets me started for the year with a new perspective. ✨️
Sososoooo damn true yaaar. This video was factsss maxx💙
Also, happpy 90K Megfam you lovely♥️
Haven't watched yet, but already liked bc its gonna be amazing anyways!

Congratulations on 90k❤️❤️❤️
So many of us are able to share our failed planner stories🥺🥺 Thankyou, we could atleast tell someone that it's not us it's the planner that some how is not working!🙈 #truth
This was much needed. I never as such needed the planner because I love to scribble and the thought of ruining the beautiful planner made me stop buying it. A cute notebook works best for me. Happy 90k👑
Congratulations for 90k Meghna didi😍💖💖 way more to go 🥰✨☁️
Love your videos so much
Happy 90k meghna
I'm very bad with digital planning as I'm very bad to read books on kindle or any digital device..😁😁 I love to plan my whole month or week in physical manner...I had never tried planner last time I had plan but somehow I didnt buy planner so I plan with notebook this year and I can say my 2022 is really good so far as 2021 so this year I'm planning to buy planner as I stated working as a freelancer so I need to plan my work so my budget will be under 1000rs as I don't wanna invest more as I never use planner before
Thankyou so much for this video this will really make people to think twice
Ahh that's amazing! Practical! Love it for you! 😻❤️
I used to bullet journal in 2021. It was essentially a "DIY planner" as you called it. But it was extremely time consuming to put together each month. So for 2022, I purchased Factor notes planner and I don't regret it. I have used it almost every single day and I love using a planner.. But ur right, a planner need not be everyone's cup of tea 😊
It was a great video and very thought provoking actually 😁 Hope ur family gets well soon 💕
Factor notes is 2k right
I think I finally feel myself happy. I was waiting for such videos You heard my heart just have to tell you again you are the best love you so much ❤❤❤❤💜💜💜

Hi I love your videos its so useful love you
OMG di I think you are a mind reader I am literally thinking about buying a planner and now this video came that's why you are my favorite UA-camr 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Aww I'm glad you found this helpful 🥺🥰💜
Meghna don't forget last three months slay challenge !!!! It's so much fun and motivating too
I bought a dated 12 month planner from Factor Notes for this year. I liked using it
But while buying for this year, I really didnt want to buy any because of the cost. I was thinking why are planners this expensive and I used it mostly because of aesthetics and the feel/pleasure of using a planner.
So this year I want to not buy anything that I wont use 100% , so I am going to use my old unused undated daily planner from 2020 and for rest of the important factors like vision board, goals and habit tracking, monthly reflections , I will use a normal notebook. This way, I will not waste my money, time and energy and also as you say they will be a structure to my days.
I was just telling my cousin to check your UA-cam channel for planner videos and now I see this??? Omg 😭
It's already 90k 😭 congratulations 🤗🎉
And in my case, I customised a basic school notebook into a planner and only keep spreads I need, like - goals of the year, everyday to do list, book tracker, workout tracker... That's it ❤️
90k🥳🥳🥳🎊🎊🎊🎊
You are addictive 🥺🥺❤️
Please suggest some budget friendly planner for beginners.
How r u di and ur family praying for there speedy recovery
Love you u pls stay positive and happy love to see like that 💖😘
Doing so much better! Thank you 🥺 love you ❤️
I have been planning from 6th std and I have gone through all possible systems , to do list, bujo, digital planning, desk planners, wall calendar etc... but never a "Planner"
I am currently using a bujo and to do list system now!! this year I am going to invest my money in a planner coz I need
1. 100 plus gsm paper
2. A place to record my daily thoughts
3. Have a proper structure which bujo does not give coz we need to set up the pages everyday
Wow! We're on the same page haha! Except vice versa where I've tried all planners but never properly bujo hehe! So maybe I can give that a shot 🙈 but like you mentioned the daily weekly and monthly upkeep of bujo is lot of effort...so have to see how that works for me 😅
@@MeghnaVerghese yes yes give it a shot I used to set up my pages at the beginning of the year ( so called a DIY planner) for a long time then I followed the actual bujo system for 2 years and now it's time for a change....
Hey can u share the lipstick shade. It looks damn good on u
im trying to pay attention to whatever you're saying but all i can focus on is the bts album collection in the background that taehyung potrait 😭
Hi meghna can you recommend planners of 2023 like last year
Hi Meghna! Thank you for this very informative video. Like you - I have also used The Inkbucket for the last two years, and prior to that used Saloni Srivastava's planner. I love annual planners and have noticed that I like opening an older one to just see what life randomly looked like two years ago. This year I started travelling again and noticed that I did not carry my Planner with me on some trips because it made my hand luggage way too heavy. So my question is - do you know a lightweight- but -hardy planner that is not over 500 gms ? Looking for an aesthetic similar to Inkbucket (or even more minimal) but it should not be too basic!
Makes sense! Lets see if any travel friendly planners launch this year 🙌🙏
@@MeghnaVerghese Thank you - I have actually shortlisted 5 options and am actually delighted that they are all under Rs. 2k! (🙈 - I actually messaged many of the stationery brands you listed in a previous video and asked them the weight of their upcoming planners!) I have my heart set on one and they have promised it will be lightweight-but-hardbound! Fingers crossed that they match the aesthetic from last year!❤
@@thewonderinggoddess Hey which planner did u buy?
@@dhanya3281 Hi! I ended up buying the Vinci Stationery 6-month Daily Planner. It serves the purpose of being hardbound and lightweight, and it has some lovely visual aesthetics inside as well. I am a bit disappointed with the paper quality though - but I will start using it soon and then know if that (90 GSM) is truly a clincher. Will keep you posted on how it goes!
Di.....i love to try out a planner....but no idea which one to buy.......can u suggest some good planners for beginners
❤️❤️
I have been using yearly planner since 2 yrs now. I have seen that i dont use it much in later half of yr. Many pages like password, monthly/yearly/weekly goals and habit tracker remain unused. So this yr I'm not sure if i will buy it, else will simply use a yearly diary.
What happened for 2023 is. ek planner main 2022 m li thi then I thought I will return.. But.. It was from factor notes and unka ek bht useless criteria tha that i can return only before it is shipped.. But it was so nice so i thought to use that for 2023 only...
Can you please lemme know from where did you bought the Frame with 7 number in your background? Also is 7 your lucky number?? 🥰✨️

The only sections I use are the daily to-do list and habit tracker... I'm trying to find a better way to track this.. honestly speaking digital planners don't give me the joy of ticking off an item...
Haha! I agree! 😂🙌
How to plan a day in joint family using planner. In neutral family it is possible to maintain planner but in joint family we also look after other needs. So can you tell me how to divide our day and how to give time for ourselves
This is so true! You have spoked my exact reality. I started using planner since last year. To begin with I bought a simple one from Factor notes, a black n white planner and it worked so well so this year I invested in a pricey planner from Simba lifestyle, a huge colorful one. Trust me after 2 months I just stopped. I don't know just something about i may be its hugeness, the number of pages, I couldn't carry it I don't know. I really wanted to use it as I had paid such a heavy amount. But it didn't work and I started planning in plain notebook since 2 months and I am happy, satisfied.
Thankyou Meghna for putting this out for us, not easy, it so important to look at the other side too!
2023 I am going to be super careful but this❤️❤️🧁
Your lipstick shade?
I thought i am the lazy one who left so many blank pages in monthly section of planner🥺
Waiting for last 90 days challenge 2022
Is there anyone who have got "The Good Life" Planner from Ink Bucket and planning to not use it? I can buy it from you :-). It got sold out before I could make the purchase.
First one here 💜
🎉
The best always

Plzz you buy BTS proof album and vlog there album plzzzz 😥😢😢😢😥😥😥
You won't buy planner for this year ?? 🥺😮
Haha! Stull deciding! Maybe bujo!
Are u buying or not??
Not sure. Maybe Bujo!

This video seems more like a discouragement to get a planner since you have discovered new ways to plan . I’ve enjoyed your planner marathon video last year but this seems more of a personal option than an unbiased review . Fancy planners are expensive world over but that’s because we all know it also involves an artist’s illustrations .also planners are useful to each individual for their own purpose and planning goals .
And yes it’s the digital era so everyone knows that there are multiple options available .But for someone like me I like the feel of a pen and a paper .
I hope you take this comment in the write spirit . Cheers
After so long, l relate with each of your words...🫣 Thanks for this update! Best wishes! 💐
