Awesome session fella, I went through so many different patterns of hooks the last couple of years targeting Cats and Carp the best I've found are Gardner Wide Gape Talon Tips barbless size 4 I've found bullet proof and by far the best hook I've used with Cats for shear strength and multiple captures on the same hook , unless you hook one in a boney part they stay sharp as new. Definitely close between meat and popped up worms for a favourite cat bait. I think on venues with low stocks of silvers worms are unbeatable for the slimy suckers
wot a session mat good angling buddy...by the way are ya rods nash scopes they look like the cork handle ones........ ....and talking hooks any pattern from bank tackle will not let ya down ...trust me...tight lines
The test curve is how much weight it takes to bend the rod 90 degrees. So the higher the test the more stiff the rod is. Stiffer rods can cast further but are also more prone to hook pulls. 🎣👌🏻 hope that helps !
Hey brother try using porridge as ground bait or for your feeder, and also chia seeds they ❤it especially the Quaker oats ones bcoz they sugar content in it sends um feeding g well, it has for few peeps I know anyways. Amd use butane oil for flavour in the ground bait enjoy mate ❤wat hinges your videos

Circle hooks potentially yes. But they are mostly barbed and mostly large. This fishery has a barbless and max hook size policy.

Eh' up Westy, maybe try & source some Diamond coated Electrical contact cleaners for the hooks, they are a much finer Grit than diamond files.

I have got that peg 3/6 times fishing there. It’s pot luck, I mostly fish week days which helps.
