North West Rod Race Day 3 | Targeting Eels, Pike and Roach | Feeder, Lure and dead bait Fishing
A two part video this one, part one at coppull mill for some feeder fishing and dead baiting for eels. Showing how I target eels specifically and tips to replicate it yourselves with a detailed look at the rigs etc. Along side this I did some feeder fishing to tick off roach … I then ditch the feeder gear in search of some canal predators on the Leeds and Liverpool canal.
What is a rod race ? Created by the great Matt Hayes and Mick Brown… it’s a challenge to try catch as many species as you possibly can in a week. This is my first attempt with less than ideal conditions ! But im hoping it will be something different and an exciting and entertaining watch. I will be doing all kinds of fishing from trotting to lures in my attempt to catch em’ all. Wish me luck!

Eyup buddy, fishing will have been hard this last week or so. I've started following air pressure and wind directions more anything. There's definitely a correlation between stable air pressure for 2+ days, favourable wind directions etc etc.
I've been using an app called Fishing Forecast and they maintain this by grading upcoming days determined by those factors.
Another really enjoyable vlog tho Westy. Hope your Dad ok 👍

@@WestysAngling I’m enjoying the rod race tbh I enjoy them all I only found the channel about 3 weeks ago and my and my daughter have sat and watched them all she is 12 and does carp fishing she wants to do a session with you on a water called brooms cross in liver it’s got last 30’s maybe a 40 but we love the channel mate
