Alcantara is fine over time as long as you keep it clean. Sonax makes a cleaner, just 30mins a few times per year has kept my steering wheel in tip top shape over 7 years, still looks brand new after each cleaning.
It's an interesting choice doing this to the TypeS rather than the Type R. The TypeS was marketed as the street version of the car and the TypeR marketed as the track version. Now we have a racing version of the car tuned for street. Maybe it'll get the TypeR's suspension module!
Not for me. I want the back seats and creature comforts. Just give the type s more power, better Recaro seats (like wrx rs), and add aero hrc package as an option as a higher spec Type S option but still keep the Normal Type S for those that want that. That would be ideal.
I noticed that too. Before he touched it and burned himself, I was about to comment that that knob is bad in the S2000, since it will almost always be in the sun. I prefer my stock AP2 shift knob.😊

That honestly seems like the best way really because as a person that I am, I don’t mind not having AC but I would rather do that by choice if I’m forced and I have AC or rear seats yeah that would really suck in my opinion so I would just buy it and brand new Integra and then put that rear spoiler on the rear wing. Of course there are some exceptions, but mostly their brand new releases deliver mid to back of the pack performance. The Prelude as designed will not be able to compete with cars it used to dominate, for example the coming Toyota Celica.
My guess is they’ll either reboot the RSX, CL or Legend nameplates and use that for something that will essentially be a 2 door Integra using the Prelude platform.
I have a Type S. If the price is reasonable I will install the side skirts, front bumper and hood. Bigger intercooler depends on the specs, price and if Acura will not get creative with factory warranty. The spoiler is too flashy. Not going to bother. Seats look sick but the back cant be reclined, that is a big no. Agree with Sofyan about the missed opportunity of offering a steering wheel with a flat bottom.

I own an integra Type S myself and I like the fact that you can chose the AC option or without AC depending on the weather you live in, I’m in Las Vegas and AC is definitely something you would need here. I would also love to have the same option with the rear seats, I want to be able to remove the rear seats when I go to the track and add them back for daily driving use.. just my opinion
I think it’s sick! I think the spoiler should be mounted a little further up as it hangs a little too far over the rear for my taste, but that’s just me being WAY too nit-picky. On that note, funny you mention the useless rear doors… I really hope they’re at least considering a 2 door. Especially since the Prelude is on the horizon. I’d imagine they’re either going to *finally* give use the 2 door we’ve been waiting for or reboot an old name like the RSX, CL, or Legend and use the Prelude’s platform for it. I just bought a type s last week and the gm told me that acura probably won't ever offer a sunroof on it because they're concerned about the car flipping because of how fast everyone drives them
I'm hoping Acura makes 2 versions of this. 1. The first version, as an Integra Type S HRC Track Package Limited Edition, the way it is fully built right now in its entirety. 2. The second version, as an Integra Type S HRC Extreme Street Special Edition, swap the giant track spoiler with a more subtle street wing spoiler or new decklid spoiler, remove the x-brace and put the backseat bench back in the car, but make the backseats just like the front with 2 HRC Recaro seats for the back (sort of like how Porsche has matching bucket backseats just like the front), keep the new hood, new wider front grille, the new HRC intercooler, side skirts, leather-wrapped steering wheel with yellow stitching, the yellow interior decorative trim pieces on the vent, titanium shift with yellow number and 'R' gear accents, yellow seatbelts, 6-piston yellow calipers, and black wheels. Essentially, you're only swapping out two things for an Extreme Street Special Edition while everything else about the HRC Integra Type S remains as is without the Track Package Limited Edition pricing.
For 20k more, you get....... the same power.... acura has a sweet twin turbo 3.5 L v6 that they should start using their cars. Purest would hate it, but car enthusiasts would love the shit out of it. Car enthusiasts drive the market

I can understand the HRC not having a sunroof. a CF roof would have been perfect. But what I'll never understand is why the Type S removes the sunroof from the standard car. Its such a miss and would be a great differentiator from the 'more pedestrian' Type S over the Type R.
Here we go again. The Type S is in fact a Type R. They wanted to give you the same formula in terms of performance. The identical lap times proves that. A sunroof raises the center of gravity. Increases unwanted bodyroll, reduces agility and chassis stiffness. It has no place on a vehicle with this level of handling performance.
This is about to be about 80k, not including dealership markups. For that price, so many other cars offer more performance than this "track" car. Then again, your money not mine. Just putting my opinion out there.
