    Guide to Buying an Apartment!
    1. LOCATION
    2. PRICING
    - a lot of apartment buildings do special deals throughout the year, so keep an eye out for those because it is a good way to save money.
    3. SCHEDULING TOURS AND SIGNING A LEASE
    - try to schedule tours and sign a lease 1-2 months before your expected move in date so you
can view all of the unit availabilities.
    - look at several different floor-plan options and keep checking for availabilities before signing
    your lease.
-look at the same floor-plan empty and furnished so you can visualize and get a better sense of
how much space you have to work with.
    4. AMENITIES
    - washer and dryer
    - trash chute
    - gym/ fitness
    - pool (personal preference)
    - furnished (personal preference)
    - common areas
    - mail room
    - parking
    - good security

For how many months does it snow in Minnesota? Great video, I am looking to move, but don’t know where. I’ve never lived somewhere where it snows. Does it ever snow so bad you basically are stuck indoors? Are winters long and boring?

I live in Minneapolis the snow stick to the ground usually from November-March but it can snow October-April. If you live up north then the snow can get really tall but in the cities it’s not that bad. A few days are snow days and we get stuck inside but it usually only takes a few hours for the streets to get plowed, if you move here just make sure you have an indoor garage

@@tytraulich4987 yeah it's sometimes cold, but it doesn't snow into june LOL. it starts getting cold in october, turns freezing quick and stays freezing cold until a quick thaw late in april or mid-may when the little lakes break ice. it's a 7.5 month snow/4.5 month sun state. we are the furthest north state in the continental US and because the earth rotates on a tilted axis, we are basically pointing straight towards the worst possible side of solar orbit for most of the year. Imagine the entire noble land of canada, except it's right here and it parties way hard. it's goddamn BEAUTIFUL up here, but it is definitely a lifestyle that is different than any other metropolitan city area. Minneapolis is a REALLY BIG CITY make no mistake- it is an extremely diverse metropolitan area with a comprehensive light rail and bus system, it has a state of the art international airport, recognized museums, countless award winning restaurants, many celebrated distilleries and breweries, America's biggest retail mall/job machine, and several very well respected universities and community colleges. it has a shitload of cool stuff and history like bootleggers and the mafia, grandfathered-in greyhound/horse racing and gambling, the tunnels under the city, the exploded granary right in the middle of town, gorgeous views over the Mississippi, the best and biggest State Fair in the country (suck it Texas), Eat St./Hooker St., Mesa Pizza, Pizza Luce, Mystic Lake, and the casino steamboats.

As a Minnesotan the last part of the comment made me a little sad. We still go out even though the ground is covered in snow. I only feel stuck at home if it's snowing really hard or it's 20 below (the second one "only" happens once every few years). I think winter without beautiful snow would be depressing, but MN is too cold for some people.

yeah well the $15 minimum wage makes it so easy to live now, it almost makes the free healthcare we get seem irrelevant. it's real hard times here, paying 1400 for a 2 bed 2 bath apt 9 minutes away from my job, giving me so much time for hobbies and self growth and still having money to save. the world is evolving and there are better ways to do things, just because you are afraid of our way, does not mean your way is better at all.

@@maaingan cool so enlighten me? What's your way? and what's my way? And yeah Idk what planet your from but $15 an hour is nothing, especially in The Twin Cities. But again hope the high taxes are worth it, I hope the crime in Minneapolis is worth it, I hope record high carjackings are worth it and I hope the insanely brutal winters are worth it(:
