I'm knitting a cardigan with boucle! The texture is really cool but since it's a dark color and boucle I've been struggling with seeing my stitches and having a consistent gauge. I feel like spring is coming too soon. I'm still in sweater/cardigan mode but I don't anticipate many warm weather knits so maybe this means by the fall, I'll have a bunch of new things ready. Also I finally got some nutiden! I'm so excited to work with it... but my puppy found it and completely shredded a plate so my mom and I spent many days putting it back together.

I've been spinning for about a year and just started doing supported long draw. I love it so much I wish I'd started sooner. And I only did it because I had rolags and knew it was probably better to spin them woolen, rather than worsted. And since I own so much combed top, I really love making rolags to spin woolen because It gets the fibers into a twist. But I've also woolen spun my combed top. I was honestly shocked when I sat down to try it. It just never never let go and kept gripping for like, 2 full ozs. And it turned out very fuzzy and fluffy for combed top! I also love art batts and find those a breeze to spin woolen. Really, I'm up for anything. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. One last thing about plying, recently I've also been chronically under plying. I don't know why this started happening, but I totally agree that I have to give it way more twist than what seems reasonable to get it right. Cheers!
