hey, i heard this plant spread roots throughout the aquasoil? what do you recommend to contain the roots to one place?
Hey Iljie, from my experience this plant doesn't necessarily spread, but the rootball is enormous. If you really want to contain it, you can fill a plastic bowl and bury that. But it won't take of the tank so you can also let her rip

I accidentally planted my amazon sword in a lava rock , do u think it can live there?
Can Amazon swords or any sword plant species be super glued to rocks by the root system so the goldfish won’t pull them out of the substrate? I have sand in my tank.

I use the Amazon Sword in both of my Blackwater tanks and they are doing great. And yes they grow very large.They are also suitable for Coldwater tanks once they have adjusted to it.But seem to grow slower.

I have a red melon sword I put eight root tabs under it a year ago and it’s still growing like a weed💯🌱🐠💙🔥
Nice! I've never put in more than 1 root tab at the time, but I guess you can use more and it will even save you time!
@@AquariumGenius I went overboard with the root tabs because before I knew about root tabs I lost sword plants from holes in the leaves The red melon sword I have now grew 15 or 20 leaves within the first week and a half I couldn’t believe it and I’ve seen no holes at all💯🌱🐠💙🔥
