    Great vid. Short.. to the point. None of this "hey I'm Bob and it a sunny day in Florida ....and im here to yadda yadda yadda.".. love a short video that screams info and exactly what the vid said it was. Thanks

    On the 2.0 Ford pino motor for years I used stock points. I got a noticeable difference in performance with a aftermarket electronic ignition system installed myself. They offered lifetime warranty on the electronic ignition system. It did provide more horsepower and better gas mileage from my experience of driving this motor. 👍🤠

    I've stuck some down choked 45s on a standard 205 pinto engine and got 120bhp on the dyno, fitted them purely for the sound, but I wouldn't be fussed about going back to a twin choke if I had to. Great videos Graham

    For the price and maintenance the 32 36 are a lot better and believe me I have a d15b2 with a po8-3 head no VTEC or turbo crap all motor with a Delta cam regrind 272 and header and lighter flywheel 10 pounds and gd clutch kit stage 2 and like I said she wake up to another level with the combo and the 32/36 Weber around 10.1 to 10.5 compression her sound is like a old school style muscle car like a old Ford as well her looks flare out on rear look like a toy with fade paint nothing fancy .And she pull like hell on wheels jjjj 🍻 born in the byouooooo for the streets 32/36 are the best in my opinion plus cheap easy to maintenance mystery oil is the key to kp everything lubricanted and running properly in any carb seals bow etc .amigo gd job

    Back to back testing fantasic ! i use to see 125-130 on a standard 2ltr with 40's and a Piper 270 ... the real magic is in the head thou. So in thery on top of this test you need to follow it with a mild 270 cam test then a mildly sorted head using standard valves then say a gp1 with 44 inlets and 38 exhuasts ..... my RS2000 in the day was 136 @ wheels and 157ft , with a GP1 head and cam and a pair of 48's. A bit over carbed but that what it come with. When i brought it i poped it on the rollers and it was 98 @ wheels. Had a pants inlet manifold on it and about 9.1 cr. So new short straight inlet and @40 thou off the face a bit of a rejet and bingo ! keep them coming Graham

    • @PenguinMotors

      compression was the standard 9.2:1, as this engine had never even been rebuilt and had no mods whatsoever. Big carbs dont always loose torque, if carbs are too small bigger will gain torque, in this test the 40's had 2lbft more than the 45's, but both more than the 32/36.

    • @PenguinMotors

    • @PenguinMotors
      @PenguinMotors  2 роки тому

      the torque curves were practically the same, @2500rpm the 32/36 and 45's were the same and the 40's 1 lbft higher. But if your at full throttle @2500, surely your in the wrong gear or need to buy a diesel????

      dont like giving out jet settings there are so many variables, but as a starting point something like 32/33 chokes F16 135main, 160 air 50 F9 idle. most of the time they will run on whatever is installed so it might be best just to fit carbs and take to rolling road and let them worry about jets.
