Why not carry the monofin technique through the whole body starting with the hands/finger tips? I start at my finger tips and carry the "S" through my arms, gently oscillating my head, into my shoulders, through my torso, then finish with my legs & fins. I genuinely feel the efficiency when scything the water in this way and can take advantage of the positive buoyancy during ascent/negative buoyancy during descent. By capitalizing on the deep arc using (this part is a bit harder to explain) like, the basics of fluid dynamics whereby if your propulsion is coming from a fin oscillating in a vertical line, right, and when you kick down you arc down and when you kick up you arc up, you are reducing the friction of the water from the forward momentum by transferring the energy into it's natural position which is either arced up or arced down (the same reason a perfectly round sand dollar will oscillate when dropped instead of fall straight down). Then, as your chest hits the natural climax of the arc on either side, your hands and arms have already begun the reverse arc so your body is already entering into the most efficient position to carry forward your momentum. I tried to explain it. Is there a reason other than keeping your form simplified during ascent that you don't carry the monofin technique all the way through the body? Thank you in advance. Please marry me, no homo.
Good luck on the journey to the 100m, mate! I'm doing nothing but strength/fitness training and monofin dynamics as well now, as we aren't allowed to dive anymore here in Amed. Thank god I still have a pool!
I find it more comfortable to not always have to keep the soft palate or glottis closed. Nose clip allows me to leave them open until later in the static.
Is there a specific reason why you did your static hold with your legs raised on the cushion? Or is it just extra comfortable having them on the cushion?

Great help for divers who keep building up its freediving life. Nice job!
Thanks
Awesome video bro! Really enjoying watching all your videos while in lockdown. They are really helpful!
I'm glad I can be of service. Take care

You can get a lot done with a gym and a pool 😉. You should hit the water and kill it
It would be good to see how you use the equipment shown here as part of your stretching routine.
Good idea
Great video, thank you. Why are you using the nose clip during your dry static training ?

It's for comfort, try it - it's much nicer
@@freedivepassion9498 Gave it a try, felt a bit weird at first. Just needed to find the sweet spot and it feels comfortable.
