Lol WOW!! Of course I just discovered this, since I literally just bought/ordered his Signature "Sterling 'Mystic Green' JP6O" yesterday afternoon. 🤘🏻😈🤘🏻one of those top 3 pieces of gear I've wanted the past 10-11 yrs out of the last 25ish yrs of my play playing.

So this is just an IR pack? Correction, a pricey IR pack? I love the tones you've had over the last 30 years, but this is still only part of the overall chain. Now, album matched presets for various modeling/vst platforms, those would sell like hotcakes!

Hey John, I have your Archetype VST, which I love. Is this IR Collection something I can use to get more out of it?
Loading in custom IRs is definitely a way to upgrade your sound, even with an already-incredible amp-sim like Neural DSP's Archetype JP. I plan on scooping this up shortly and seeing how much it takes my tones in that software to the next level.

Sounds like uhm little bit muddy, maybe too too much of cake/ evil power, but what This would sound with ibanez guitar with single coil passive mics?? 😂 Im missing the tone of train of thought braindrill. Maybe there was more higher frequencies or was it rudess doubling. Cant explain. If there would be train of thought, scenes from memory and ibanez pack I would hit buy.❤😊 😊❤

In amp-sim software, you use impulse responses (IRs) to act as a digital cabinet to process your signal. It's what brings your dialed-in tone on the amp to life. In essence, this product offers high quality IRs using the same equipment that John used to record the three records mentioned. So rather than having to go out and buy all of the expensive mics and cabinets yourself to duplicate that element of John's tone, you can get an extremely close approximation of that gear using these IRs.
This is basically what has (until now) been the missing link for my digital setup when it comes to replicating John's sound. I have his signature guitar, the picks, the Nerual DSP plugin, the wah pedal... this is really the only thing I need to complete the puzzle, so to speak 😅
@@canman87 How come in 17yrs of playing guitar I had never heard of anything like this ? Also I do have 5/6 different amp sims that are already so damn close to the real thing, I wonder how those sound compared.
@@thedarkflowkillerthe concept of IRs (impulse responses) have been around and popularized since amp modelers like the Axe FX became popular. Recently, having a working inexpensive bedroom studio is also getting more popular as well.

man at this point real cabinets / amps are sounding the exact same nobody can tell me he would hear a difference with closed eyes on this, the only "advantage" real cabinets/amps give is that they make u feel more like a rockstar (sry for cringe choice of words idk how else to desribe it)..
think about it we all see our favorite bands with stacked marshalls on stage etc it will "hype u up" more and THAT is the thing that could make you MAYBE play a bit different or maybe more confident.. even if it doesnt maybe it makes u have more fun playing which leads to u playing even more which then leads to better tone cuz U get better.
HOWEVER IM BROKE SO IMMA TAKE ALL THAT WITH OPEN ARMS..
