Fixing Chair Spindle

  • I used Totalboat's Thixo for Wood, thickened epoxy in standard caulk gun dispenser and a threaded steel rod to repair a broken tendon. I drilled completely through the leg and install the new steel rod with the epoxy. The repair will be stronger than the original.

    Threaded rod.. so I guess in way you are screwing it back together 😂 I have seen someone else demonstrate that TotalBoat product, but apparently didn't make much of an impression! THIS is a trick I'll remember! Thank you!

      Yes it will, but having filler in the epoxy makes it much thicker and the application tip makes it really easy to mix and inject.
