Half correct advice... work for a company > get experience > live out your truck for a year to own and make way more money > minimize spending > buy a truck > do the same process > minimize spending > buy a 2nd truck > hire 2 drivers to make you money > rack up eanough to buy 4 trucks so you can retire and stay home... dont buy lavish stuff unless your revenue is $100K a year.. dont buy a house, car, get married or have kids until you making $100K a year
Spitting straight facts!!! I got into the industry @ 21 & remained disciplined for five years. I stayed out, when I came home for a week or two I stayed @ my Mom’s house. I invested my money & life is great. With my investments in real estate, stocks, crypto, & businesses I’m what they call wealthy. My grind in trucking & studying gave me & my family that. Great interview Fam, keep grinding.
Sacrifice one year to save is SOO true. I got myself through college with no loans. Still graduated with 750 credit score and zero debt. Gonna get my CDL and best believe I’m paying cash. 💵
Just got mine from P.A.M. and I'm running like that. I plan on sacrificing this year the way you say, cuz right now I'm at the bottom. I'm going to get my Endorsements. I'm gonna focus and get myself together. Before I start to do anything.
@Mr. Blade Monk Travels I have 6 months with PAM. Trust me, get on a dedicated route asap if you can. If you stay OTR ($0.35 cpm) you will be unhappy. But whatever happens, just get thru the first year, pay off your CDL school (with driver solutions) and move on to a better paying job. Good luck. Stay safe. Oh yeah, I live in my truck. Paying off 2 credit cards and then I will start saving for a house. Or some land and a trailer.
God bless you cousin. Im at tears this should be the motivation video for all young guys.. Might even show my kids this one if they not where they want to be i gotta save this video...madProps💪
Good video man. Plans are imperative to have. I am getting my CDL with CR England to get experiences. I want to gain as much as I can before weighing owner operator. Being financially stable is key before you invest. I’m also a realtor in the greater Houston area as well. Then the investments come.
Thanks for the encouragement bro!! I watched all yo videos & i’m about to take the permit tests on Monday💪🏾. Keep uploading bro u helpin so many people
Love your videos bro it’s giving me the confidence i need to get this CDL I’m in NYC what schools do you recommend me to go to so they can pay for my CDL A that’s the only part I’m stuck on ! I’m willing to travel to any state around NY to get this journey started
Thank you brodie! & It really depends on your standards bro. See what companies will hire you and they out weigh the odds. Some companies offer different things depending on your area
@@Youngtruckerdee bet I got a question, they gave me 36 chapters to go through and answer questions for my CDL then said after I’m done I’ll need to go for my CDL permit is that right?
But sacrificing for 1 year saving your paychecks is basically the same thing as buying wtv u need right now while your getting paychecks to paycheck no?
Idk bro I've been looking for a job for 2 months and ain't hear shit back. I got a cdl though school and I feel like I wasted my money bro. It's almost better to get it through a company so your locked in with a job and get experience. I feel like they don't wanna fuck with me cause they can't lock me in like that so idk what's better honestly. It's hard to join a mega carrier making less then I do now but I guess that's my fault for not doing some research on how shitty the pay is till you got experience.
I have 2 kids and a wife so its hard to make shit for a year and be away. local companies aren't fucking with no experience out here in Cali. Idk man it sucks
Your first year it’s likely you gone get the shitty end of the stick. What companies you applied to so far ? And is your driving record and background clean? That matters to. But not gonna lie to you. Right now trucking is slow and looks like we’re headed into a recession so alot of companies but hiring on hold because freight is slow.
I'm a new grad, every single trucking company I applied for called me back. I'm going with Maverick. I'm on the east coast too, though. They practically are all fighting over me. TMC, Melton, Schneider, Maverick etc...
I would get a truck first if your going to be the one driving it. That gives you the opportunity to make a lot of money fast if you have a good work ethic

I went to CDL school, most CDL schools have an option where you can take a loan out and make monthly payments after you’ve completed.

Starting school at Truck Driving institute in about 10 days. Already have my permit.
Congrats bro 😎 ‼️
Ay bro do you need your permit before starting school?
@@Chriz.s1 No. They usually will help you study to get it but I recommend you getting it first

@@garymapes6955 Yeah Cali sucks bro especially for trucking. I’m on the east coast so it’s a little laid back over here.
That’s what I was thinking since they can’t lock you in . Why I’m choosing to go threw company paid training to have a job already

Do you need a high school diploma to be a truck driver?
For most mega companies you do. You could get away with it with some smaller companies
You really dont.... i know a guy without one and he drives for UPS
Hn . U just need a heartbeat and your license 😭
