Yo what is up guys, do you think Blade's life scaling will be stronger or weaker than other damaging characters? I mention speed is not subject to diminishing returns on blade, this is not 100% correct the more speed you have the worse it becomes however unlike other units blades rotation cost is incredibly low so he is is fine to stack max speed on like Arlan. In a NO skill point world speed would be one of if not the best stats to stack as it applies additional on hit effects, toughness break and smoother enemy management. The top supports also do not consistently buff speed for the duration of an entire fight. So while speed is very good on blade it IS subject to diminishing returns and that was my mistake but similar to Arlan it should still be one of his best stats. For more information on Blade directly from closed beta 2 you can check out Smecksu's video here: ua-cam.com/video/MVout7aInbE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=smecksu
I think they'll probably reduce his scaling like 20% or so, it's quite strong right now. If you consider long fights where the enemy buffs himself and scales damage (supposing you don't have a debuffer on your team), one hit can pretty much kill him since he needs many hits instead of one hit that takes a big chunk of life to proc his talent, so in that case, his kit is atcually pretty well balanced. I haven't checked his eidolons but any kind of character that can give him priority to be attacked (I think march 7th shield does that) is going to be stellar with him (thought I don't know if being hit while shielded will count, since he has to lose HP). I imagine that in the long haul we'll get a character that gives other characters aggro on their place as a skill, this is the kind of mechanic we see on RPGs all the time.

@@satisfaction8242 split scaling is smtg like his skill scaling on attack and burst scaling on hp completely. so you have to build either attack or hp or balance both the stats to make both skills work. Duo scaling is skills having different stat scalings but the different stat scalings are present in individual skills. if you played genshin, Nahida and haitham are duo scaling bcz they have atk% + EM% on their skills. and albedo is split scaling bcz his skill scales on def and burst scales on attack. In simple terms. In case on split scaling. one stat benefits only 1-2 skills ( NA by dafault). and in duo scaling, one stat benefits all skills.
@@Nezunix To add on to it, March is an example of split scaling in this game. Her shield is based on def, literally everything else is based on her atk stat

You already have a healer so you don't need Luocha and i'm not sure if Blade is good without him. Since you need hyper carry your best bet is too all in on Jing Yuan or wait for a less investment heavy carry. Seele was the best play for your account but that ship has sailed. I would skip Jing if you don't have a Tingyun tho.
I will be pulling for loucha and his him as my healer, then I hope to get pela on his banner and use her. For my last spot I am conflicted, I would ever go with tingyun to help fix energy problems, march or susheng
I was thinking, wouldn't focusing on building hp on him be the best option as he can actually get atk buffs from other chars, making the split scaling not so much of an issue?
I think pure HP and Speed would be my approach personally. The attack values look a little low to me so I would be hesitant to pair him with atk supports but you might be right in the end it could be the best.
I think blade is less conditional than Clara. I don’t like to overhype units but blade has pretty crazy potential for single target and then when you consider most of his abilities cleave its very interesting.
I will take a shot here, for sport :D. Before watching the video I will say this: Yes, he will be good by default, but probably way better with his signature light cone, which is very likely to increase his HP, which no other Destruction light cone does afaik, so prepare for the swipe :D. He will work well with Luocha (auto emergency heal), but also Bailu, because he likes to get hit. She will auto-heal when he gets hit and she can increase his HP by 10% when she overheals (one of her traces). Also she can salvage your greed by reviving him if he dies. He will also work well with Fu Xuan, who is supposedly preservation character, which mitigates (/reduces) damage taken by your team, but does not shield. And for him to get his buffs, he needs to take HP damage, so shield isn't optimal. At the same time not having preservation character might make you deadge, so yeah, Fu Xuan sounds good. His best supports, not sure tbh. Bronya and Tingyun have both ATK and DMG buff, he won't benefit from ATK much (but Luocha would, if he's on the team). Yukong has ATK + crit stats and Asta has ATK and SPD. Basically every harmony character only benefits him with half of their kit, except Bronya also gives him extra attack, which is always good. He might benefit more from being paired with Nihility though, like Pela. That's just straight up damage, no downside and some extra utility (redundant with Luocha though). He is also very SP efficient, so it might be legit to just run second DPS, which has little bit of utility as well. I believe Xueyi leaks claim, that she is quant destro character with DEF shred on ult. You could use them together and spend most SPs on her and have him benefit from the DEF shred, instead of buffing him as hyper carry. In the future he will benefit the most from characters that can buff DMG (not ATK) and/or max HP and characters that might have some meme kit, that sacrifices the HP of your team members, which would double dip, with him getting buffed from it. Now I will watch the video to find out if I know anything about this game or just ... not :D
OK, I didn't realise that his speed might mess with Bronya synergy, so yeah, probably even her isn't great with him. Other than that, I'm proud of myself :D. Fu Xuan and Xueyi were not mentioned in the video, but I just realised this video is already 1 month old, so Grimro might not have been aware of these or the synergy is just not as good as I though. But I have a lot of faith in Blade + Fu Xuan, because Blade harms himself so much already, that single healer with no Preservation character might not be enough in tough content. We could argue that she lowers his Talent damage, because he will lose less HP, while stacking, but the rest of his kit doesn't actually scale with current HP (or lack thereof - HP difference between current and max), but with max HP and the biggest DPS loss is ... being dead. So yeah :D
tl;dr: I think his best team for MoC (where bosses hit super hard) will be Fu Xuan, Blade, Xueyi and Bailu (in this party order, so he gets hit with cleaving attacks on Fu Xuan and Xueyi too :D). In content where mobs don't hit hard enough to make you fear for his life, you get more flexibility, but keeping him alive might be bit of a challenge in MoC. It's noteworthy that because he scales with HP, he will have a lot of HP (4Head) and he will lose a lot of HP (through his own kit, which removes % of his HP). He will be difficult to heal. It's not like when Bailu onetaps ya'all to full health with skill alone, healers will tickle his huge ass HP bar :D.
I would take Jingyuan, tingyun, bailu and blade. but kafka is after him.......rippps not sure who to go for...like i alr got jingyuan should i still go for kafka?! haisss
What do you think a good blade team comp will be? I got seelee and I really want blade as my other carry, I have clara himeko and baliu as well. I am f2p so with that in mind I wanna run blade, bailu and 2 more. Would really appreciate some help.
Personally, I do not think he will be a very good unit if his kit does not go through any changes from CBT2 . His HP scaling has antisynergy with the best supports in the game so he'll never have as much output as a seele with bronya+ting AND since hes hp scaling, he can't even get a lot of benefit from fleet of the ageless which you would slap on all 3 of ur other units in the team for a free 24% attack. Considering how hard MoC endgame enemies start to hit, if you don't have luocha there's a real risk of this guy dying without a healer + shielder on the team, and then your last slot would have to be Pela which is a fine unit but nowhere near the output that bronya or tingyun could provide. Overall, unless Hoyo makes large changes to his kit or they start releasing supports that synergize with him, at best I just see him as a meme unit that can do solo's at high investment but not really a good unit overall.
Tf are you talking about, he follow up attack heals him 30% max hp and his skill does not consume skill point, how op is that he is skill point efficient as hell and you can even run sub dps characters besides him, and bronya making him getting 2 extra stacks every time can trigger the follow up so often as well
@@crimsondemon6231 His skill DOES consume 1 skill point, his enhanced normal attacks does not consume or gain a skill point. Bronya does NOT have perfect synergy with him as a large part of her buff comes from her Atk buff which he cannot use fully.
Blade's ult say "Additionally, sets Blade's current HP to 50% of this Max HP." Wouldn't that heal instead of damage him if he is currently lower than 50% of his HP?
He seems busted as hell. I’ve played many turn based gachas and usually power scaling comes in not higher dps numbers but higher utility and resource economy. Blade seems like he can be a main dps AND a sp battery since he’s gonna be using basics a lot. This makes it so you can add another main dps without worrying too much about sp. I dont like his base design so I’ll probably be skipping but also hoping this game has way more costumes than genshin so if he comes out with a sick costume I might actually have to pull
Worth noting that his enhanced basic does consume or generate basics but I agree units with utility interest me more than ones with the biggest numbers.
Bronya skill on blade -> buff his damage for 1 turn Blade spends his turn damaging himself and enhancing his next attack Bronya’s buff wears off because it’s been a turn Blade attacks without the buff Tingyun skill buffs blade for 3 turns Blade spends first turn damaging himself and enhancing his next attack Blade spends second turn attacking with that enhanced attack Next time blade’s turn comes around, he damages himself and enhances next attack Tingyun buff wears off because blade has taken 3 turns Blade attacks without the buff See the issue? As soon as blade uses his skill, he is forced to attack again because he’s advanced forward. So you can’t do blade skill -> tingyun/Bronya skill -> blade attack
@@zaxtonhong3958 That only means you cant buff his first instance of damage. Does it hurt a bit? Sure. But you can just buff him on turn 2 instead of turn 1
Its gonna be kinda awkward to make him work i feel. Split scaling notorious for beeing hard to make work, but thats not that big it seems like for now. What im concerned abt is you dont wanna run him with a shielder like gepard cuz u basically want him to get attacked so he loses hp, i dont see fire mc doing too good w him either cuz fire mc has a taunt, so probably you would want to run him with 2 healers, luocha and either natasha or bailu. Then theres the issue of how do u want to support him? Our current supports dont seem too optimal cuz he takes 2 actions per turn so maybe youre looking for a debuffer like pela on the enemy but with no tanks or shields how do u make sure they stay alive
I mean you can probably run him with 1 healer, he's a tankier dps after all. Him taking 2 actions per turn doesn't really affect anything, It's often going to be a free action like Seele's resurgence. Blade also isn't a split scaler, split scaling is when you have separate abilities that scale with different stats so you can't ever make full use of your kit, like march has to decide to either scale her shield and deal no damage or have her shield be awful and deal meh damage. All of Blade's abilities scaling with atk and hp is an advantage, not a disadvantage. It lets you take advantage of both stats for damage instead of just one, even if the atk scalings are lackluster. It also gives him fewer dead sub-stat rolls.
Literally for support units just run a Debuffer or bronya, anyone should do, or maybe even run a another sub dps because blade Dosen't consume skill points
Yo what is up guys, do you think Blade's life scaling will be stronger or weaker than other damaging characters?

@@mcsmouche thanks for the help regardless, i lucked out and got gepard on standard so my yangqing team is sorted now, and realising Bailu is enough im gonna save all gems for Blade as i already got the guaranteed :D
Doesn't he have dual scalings instead of split scaling?
Thats actually correct, someone brought this up on my discord. Im not a genshin player so I wasnt aware of this distinction but its a very important note thanks!
@@GrimroGacha what's the difference?
@@Nezunix
To add on to it, March is an example of split scaling in this game. Her shield is based on def, literally everything else is based on her atk stat
1st time i see this vid since i want to know more about blade.. about team buildings i think is it better to run him solo?? like what other people do in the vids and some of them run blade solo on memory of chaos and can still finished it fast.. the thing with team is theres a chance that other team mates will take a hit and blade passive talent will never trigger at all and his talent is one of the best on hes kit.
Already told myself if I don't get Jing Yuan, I'm saving everything for Blade.
So he's Hu Tao? Which means his Light Cone will probably be similar to Staff of Homa...
His light cone gives HP%, attack% and follow-up attack damage%.
This dude will be a monster in SU, imagine all of those stockings
Feels like ML Ken solo comp from Epic Seven?
and ML Ken ever in speedrun or pve comp, just a final pick in RTA and need res hehe
I got bailu but id like a top tier dps but i doesn't have Seele but i hesitate between Luocha or Blade in a f2p perspective.. any help appreciated
@@TheMyndfire thanks
I will be pulling for loucha and his him as my healer, then I hope to get pela on his banner and use her. For my last spot I am conflicted, I would ever go with tingyun to help fix energy problems, march or susheng
Or maybe Asta, like I said I am conflicted for the last spot
I was thinking, wouldn't focusing on building hp on him be the best option as he can actually get atk buffs from other chars, making the split scaling not so much of an issue?
I think pure HP and Speed would be my approach personally. The attack values look a little low to me so I would be hesitant to pair him with atk supports but you might be right in the end it could be the best.
My E6 Natasha with full Hp Hb build will wecome blade full heartedly ❤❤
Even without any numbers, the gimmick of having to take damage to have more damage seems a bit interesting here. Kinda like Clara, right?
I think blade is less conditional than Clara. I don’t like to overhype units but blade has pretty crazy potential for single target and then when you consider most of his abilities cleave its very interesting.
When I saw the spider lilies it was decided goodbye jing yuan see ya next time
i just think hes neat :) will pull
Guess I'm saving for Blade. I think he'll be a step up from Dan Heng. Can't fukin wait
So blade is a better Arlan?
I will take a shot here, for sport :D. Before watching the video I will say this:
Yes, he will be good by default, but probably way better with his signature light cone, which is very likely to increase his HP, which no other Destruction light cone does afaik, so prepare for the swipe :D.
Is Asta good for Blade?
Since I pulled for Bailu, I'm pulling for Jing Yuan. Skip SW/Loucha and go for Blade.
I Will save everything for him and luocha
nice im happy with my team all i needed was a good wind dps
I would take Jingyuan, tingyun, bailu and blade. but kafka is after him.......rippps not sure who to go for...like i alr got jingyuan should i still go for kafka?! haisss
My question is will his ult increase his hp/heal him if he uses it while he has less than 50%?
In Cbt 2 it did not
it will set your hp to 50% if you are below 50%
would pyro mc dmg reduction be good for him?
Hm I dont think you will want to shield blade as he scales his damage based off how much damage he takes.
@@GrimroGacha okay, thanks for the answer!
Want kafka so much but have to go blade… i have so many electric character, more just made my team dead :)
he looks like adult xiao soo i will pull

What do you think a good blade team comp will be? I got seelee and I really want blade as my other carry, I have clara himeko and baliu as well. I am f2p so with that in mind I wanna run blade, bailu and 2 more. Would really appreciate some help.
maybe blade, luocha, clara, and debuffer/shielder
clara tingyun blade last char can be debuffer or the hunt

Good luck to everyone who's pulling for him! I'll stick with Kafka tho.
Blade or Jing Liu? 🤯
Blade's ult say "Additionally, sets Blade's current HP to 50% of this Max HP."
Wouldn't that heal instead of damage him if he is currently lower than 50% of his HP?
That's the catch + I think when you're building your Talent, it applies the 50% hp shred as well if you're full hp when you use your ult.
@@GrimroGacha do you mean his enhanced basics do not generate sp?
@@davidbai3543 They don't appear to on CBT2
Yes, he is top tier.
You get so much atk% externally so... I see this as a W. I'll just have to stack HP & Atk% will be taken care of by outside buffs.
I dont see why using Bronya with him would be an issue. Just dont use skill on him until he activates his skill lol
Bronya skill on blade -> buff his damage for 1 turn
Blade spends his turn damaging himself and enhancing his next attack
Bronya’s buff wears off because it’s been a turn
Blade attacks without the buff
Tingyun skill buffs blade for 3 turns
Blade spends first turn damaging himself and enhancing his next attack
Blade spends second turn attacking with that enhanced attack
Next time blade’s turn comes around, he damages himself and enhances next attack
Tingyun buff wears off because blade has taken 3 turns
Blade attacks without the buff
See the issue? As soon as blade uses his skill, he is forced to attack again because he’s advanced forward. So you can’t do blade skill -> tingyun/Bronya skill -> blade attack
@@zaxtonhong3958 That only means you cant buff his first instance of damage. Does it hurt a bit? Sure. But you can just buff him on turn 2 instead of turn 1
@@myk-popper2960
How do you buff him on turn 2 if he has advanced forward 100 after turn 1?
@@zaxtonhong3958 Dude, turn 2 for the team. Not his obviously
@@myk-popper2960
Explain to me how you would buff his enhanced basic attack using bronya’s skill. Because I genuinely don’t see how it’d be possible
Saying “semi neutral” seems more confusing than just saying he uses 1 sp per rotation. A -1 unit
or around that amount
Blade is just "No u." Made to be character
Early lessgo
I think hes gonna be more a main carry for healing teams maybe like double healer, a shielded, and him
Seems like a 5* Arlan.
Interesting tank design
Big damage for a tank
U know what, your comment kinda made me think of using him as a tank lol
So from what I understand with future units:
Must pull : Silver Wolf.
Everyone else.
Edjt: Silver Wolf has since been nerfed. Kafka supremacy!!!
I was thinking Blade,luocha,Pela,Seele as a team
Sounds good but maybe seele will not use the skill every turn as luocha would like some skill points aswell.
@@GrimroGacha could still work out though?
Would be good if you go for Blade, Luocha, Bailu, Bronya or tingyun
Everyone talking about Jing but this character seems insane
After getting Seele I’m gonna save for him! I do not care lol
He is pretty bad ass
Blade, Loucha, Fu Xuan Team
