Nice shout out to the Slovenian brothers ;) Man Freewing keep upping their game. Very nice to see the servo covers - just need a little paint on the control surface ball links and they will hardly be noticeable. Great model.
James.... Alex... YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE IT.... I won a F-35 on a live stream show. You might know Farmer in Canada 🇨🇦. Should have ordered today. I hope 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻😃New Year
So I've done my research on the stealth Bombers since I commented last they hid the payload & I see the details on the mold very scale details Freewing I chose the Spectrum AS630 reciever & Spectrum 6s 5000mhp all my rc's are Spectrum now 19 birds in my hanger so far I have scale crawlers, rock racers, bashers, buggys even a couple trikes I love rc see ya in flight 😉👍🛩
It's interesting to note how critical of the short wing span Boeing was when trying to sell Canada the Super Hornet. The radio controlled model F-35 seems to prove the viability of the lifting body design. Funny how a model can show something like this.
I'm curious James, what kind of speed are we expecting out of this versus using an OutRunner? What kind of flight times are you supposed to be getting also?
Then they wouldn't take off on most grass runways which are the overwhleming majority of runways at clubs around the world. The main goal when making an RC aircraft is that it flies well, then the in air profile. Freewing will always make the gear as hearty and durable as possible to appeal to the most users.
Not without some customizing. You can buy the pylons and railing system and an ordinance set from a different jet like say the 70mm F-16 and make it work, but many use a 3d printer and make their own off Thingiverse.com
Hi guys, I took delivery of one of these last week, it says it can take off on any grass surface, our field is in good condition with regularly cut grass, on my maiden take off run the port u/c failed just prior to take off speed and snapped off at the servo causing the port wing to dig in to the grass and the model to cart wheel, the front of the fuselage was also damaged.
Since the f16 freewing has really been making scale models but has also REALLY been half assing the scale landing gear put the mains in the correct area and then maybe I'll buy it... the devil is in the details
Scuse me I am new to these ready-made kits, in fact I’m new to radio control stuff really.… What control do you need, what is the minimum, and how much should it cost?
what i find really surprising about this modell is its weight compared to the old one...1700g in EPO (new) and more like 1100g (old) in EPS which is a much lighter material....so the flyingweight compared to the old one which is almost the same size is much different, barely over 1350g on the old F35 (with 4s 2200mAh) but at least 2450g (and that is calculated with a 4500mAh pack) on the new one, which kind of explains why the older modell is super floaty and the new on, well lets say its not floaty at all...still it looks like a nice flyer and i like the new colorscheme too but still i wish you would have made her a bit bigger, F-22 size with 90mm and stuff, anyway nice plane overall
Our 70mm EDF series typically does not include pre-installed LEDs, which is reserved for most of the larger 90mm EDF series jets and a couple of our more recent 80mm EDF series jets. This 70mm F-35 is intended to give pilots a modern jet that looks the part with high aesthetic detailing, but remains smaller and cheaper to operate than their more expensive brethren . Functionally, this F-35 adds suspension struts which is typically reserved for 80mm/90mm EDF series jets, plus the inrunner power system. Adding LEDs, to those so inclined, shouldn't be too difficult a process using the Freewing MFCB and one of our several LED sets.
@@alphamrc309 thank you for the detailed response. I totally understand the price/performance balance, but the bar has been set high by other recent offerings. For the price, I'm amazed with the apparent value provided by this new kit.
That cheater hole is a deal breaker for me. The jet looks soooo much better than the previous version, but man, that massive hole (and the gold nozzle) are enough to make we wait for a better design to come out :/
I think I'll wait for the Version 4, that has landing bay doors, bomb bay, and thrust vectoring. Come on guys modeling is half the hobby. Its in the name, rc MODEL plane. You went all out on the top but went kinda cheap on the bottom. literally a half ass job (landing gear aside that is good) There was a model out there (that I have) with all of these things. 12 blade, 6s, 70mm, bombs, and landing doors. Only thing lacking was lights and I took care of that (not very well but hey) Paying attention to detail would take these models from good to great. (for example your b-24) Normally I love what you guys do, but this imho is a fail. ( I know opinions are like butts everyone has one and they all stink.)
only mistake i made was not cheking to see if the f35 v2 with thrust vector,,,material was epo,,, uuuugghhh turned out to be EPS foam I spent $189 on this jet ,,wish i could have waited for this NEW one,,,,SMH,,, p.s it shattered to pieces on the first hard landing in just a few days i bought it,cant afford this new one.;(
I am getting this for Christmas I can’t wait!

Pre-Ordered Immediately. Great looking model and excellent "NEW" features. Looking forward to many flights.
RC Jet Lab do you love it? I’m waiting on mine. I’ll have it Friday
Boston SAM I’m Still flying this F35 a year later. Currently have 225 flights.
Wow! This really looks like a winner James!!!
A really cool jet idea for u guys would be a VTOL F35, Harrier or Yak141
One day when the technology to do it become affordable for a plug n play.
Okay. I had to order one. Will figure out where to put it later.
Major King I am in the same boat lol
I hang them on the wall in my office :-) Some guys have car pictures, I have planes (that double as lunch-break stress relievers)

0:01 in that moment, my ears died
hahahaha
Does look really good
We just need a 70-80mm f-22

Interesting, the previous model was the F-35C. Wonder why they switched from the Naval carrier model to the Airforce model
In runner or out runner, which is better?
Do you have to set it up when you get it
Maybe FW can offer different vertical stabilizer for parts. Great 👍🏻 jet!!!!
What size esc should I use , I bought the ARF VERSION
What does that mean about the battery how long do they last?
Does this come with the fan/propeller or do I have to get that separately?
Yes it comes with the PNP version of this model.
if only you guys would put scale landing gear on these things

Hey James I have one of these was wondering if there's any ordinance options?

rcgroups and hobbysquawk // this jet is way over your head, go watch rcsaylors! ouch
Isa gonna be abou €260
What is the best plane to start with?
Can it fit the spektrum 7000mah 6s smart battery?

Is it possible to fly it for 10 mins??
All that scale detail and no lighting 😔 how hard would it be to retrofit lighting on this bird?

scale equals snail. Performance over scale any day 10 times over
Wish it came with lights
What is the controller that you use? Or does it come with it?
I use a spectrum dx9 currently. It does not come with the aircraft.
Motion RC Alright thanks,
👍
I’m trying to get in touch with someone from Motion Rc to buy one of these F-35s
you buy it online at our website. motionrc.com
The big question is, does it come with digital metal gear servos?
Kept that one quiet

There is a cheater vent guard thats on thingiverse you can have 3d printed...
Where in the world is the CG

Not realistic at all. Many of the rc edf jets are borderline on allowable weight.
My was taking l havy with 400 mah and I crashed it on the first fly.

Put a wattmeter!
Can i fit a venom 10500 mah battery?
Out of edwards not van nuys
I really dislike the off colour tail fins, really ruins the style of the rest of the jet.
Epa foam wasnt good
Another 6S bird.....great. 😡
MrDink7898 Which one did you want?
Odd. That's not an F35 jsf, a true f35 jsf is a vtol, this is not a vtol
The jsf is for Joint Strike Fighter. One of those models within the many that make up the joint has vertical capabilities. This is the FE model.
