Hi, you can put a little bit of petroleum jelly or Vaseline (generic) to keep the cap that you close it with from sticking. Put a little bit of it around the inside of the cap and around the groove that the cap goes on. You can do it sshdo for the big tube also. You can do it with a lot of tubes with their caps do they don't stick or be hard to turn the cap open. God Bless you and your family. Hugs.

Thank you for this video! I think yours is the only video that shows how these precision tips are supposed to work. You're right that the directions on the package are insufficient and I've had the same problems with not being able to use much of the tube before it becomes unusable.🙏

Hi! I really appreciated this video because I bought exactly what you have, and I had no idea what those tips were for or how they worked. I wasn't even certain how to puncture/open the white cap! So I learned a lot from the video! I worked on a craft project after learning, and I have a couple of ideas of my own that might prove helpful to some. First ~ my tube of glue did not 'erupt' like a volcano; it was reluctant to come out at all. So.... I used one of those thinks that looks like a key that you use to roll up a tube of toothpaste (for example) and I did need to roll it periodically while crafting. But THEN... it started dripping out and it was messy! So I rolled the 'key' in reverse which sucked the glue back into the tube, and I had a lot less dripping! Good! Now all I needed to do was clean everything when I was finished with the project. Your ideas for that process were good, but I went a step further. I googled how to remove E6000. COOL! The same thing you do with super glue, , crazy glue, etc. Acetone. Found right beside me with my nail polishing tools. Of course it was easy to clean off the outsides of everything, but I wanted to clean out the glue still inside the tip I used. Handy dandy pipette, a craft item, squirted the nail polish remover right down into the tip, from the top. Wiggled a thick needle around inside and after doing that twice, the tip was empty and clean. Thanks for getting me started using E6000! Happy crafting!

Walmart carries the E6000w/tips at Walmart. To clean the tips, have a sewing needle just thick enough to fit through the precision nozzle. Thread it with a double piece of yarn or thick string or floss. Run it through a few times to get excess glue out. Then do it again with the thread dipped in alcohol. I've only used one tip since I bought the tube months ago.

I swear dealing with glue is a pain. I have more glue problems then the project I'm working on. I just used this exact glue and like you said it erupts. Then glue came out the side of the tube. Then the black top got full of glue because I was putting it on the tip wile I was working sonic wouldn't ooze but it didn't help much. At least this size tube doesn't cost as much because I had to throw out my large tube.

One thing I discovered any of my small bits under 1.2mm from my Dremel, hand drill twist, and some in my nail drill tool. All work to clear hardened glue out of the tips. They'll wear down eventually but you can get a lot of uses out of the 3 tips mine came with. I discovered this with the bits because i lost 2 of 3tips 😁 😆

Wish we could get those tips here in the U.K.! We only get all plastic ones! Us pertroleum jelly based lip balm on the outer of the nozzle and inside the lid and round the neck and that should stop the lid from sticking, it’s meant to work, I’m waiting for my new glue to arrive to test it! The other tip I got was when you remove the metal tips use a candle lighter and forceps to hold the plastic bit and then light the metal end and that will burn the glue out and you tip is useable! Again waiting for my glue to arrive to test this out as I’m fed up of binning full tubes that have become unusable,. Has anyone successfully decanted e6000 into a smaller bottle to use? It was suggested I try that as well, we will see. Thanks for the vid 😊

Hi ! I just bought and used e6000 glue and was having a hard time figuring out these tips ! I expected a large black covering cap to cover the special tip , but no , there was none. So all I could think to do as try to use the little black cap. I set it on the table and the glue began to ooze just as you said, pushing the black cap off. I thought “do they expect me to remove this tip every time i use this ?” And sure enough I googled how to use these tips and your wonderful wonderful video showed up! I’m glad it wasn’t just me figuring this out and I’m so glad you made this helpful video! Now I need to find a safe place for these tips and hope o remember where I put them 😀. Thank you so much for this video ! And God bless you and your endeavors.

Thanks for the video! I would add that the glue vapor is hazardous and harmful. Be sure there is plenty of ventilation when using the glue, unless you're doing a quick job. Use gloves and do not get the glue on your skin to avoid irritation. Wash your hands thoroughly after use. That is all.

@@herbfellows6435 if you look at nail polish ingredients, many have a small amount of acetone in it to keep it fluid. once the small amount of acetone evaporates, the nail polish can harden. nail polish remover may or may not have acetone in it, depending upon the nail polish brand.

I was curious about this glue myself as I just bought a "jewelry and bead" variety that has those tips and it has very minimal instructions on the back in teeny tiny print... I liked seeing how you use it. Also, I noted in tiny print on my package (and on the website for the glue after I googled to find this video and other info) that it says you can "Clean uncured adhesive with acetone or citrus-based solvents. Cured material may be removed by cutting or scraping." so maybe that could also help cleaning the tips in between uses? I'll have to get some acetone or citrus-based solvents before I try using it to see how it goes. :)
