Good meet up and ride out, it’s always a sod when your bike plays up, but at least you have identified the problem and the parts are ordered, onwards to the next one.
yeah its still ridable just have to fettle with the carb every now and then
I always enjoy your trips and ride outs Pezza. Shame about the 'Bogging down' with the CT. If you remember, I had the same trouble with my Honda CB250rs but mine was with the Chinese coil replacement which was eventually replaced with an OEM used one. All is now well.
Pity you boys and Mr Fish all live in the south, I would have liked to join you all on a ride or two sometime. 😊👍🏍
Thanks, unfortunately we rarely all get out on bikes at the same time
It was an awesome weekend mate... real shame you had these issues, can see it got you down, but well done getting to the bottom of it and getting the bike home without resorting to the recovery vans 🙂
Can't wait for the next one 🙂
have to go back maybe this year
@@BigPezza aye, that'd be good 👍
Looked like a good gathering, and some proper off-road action. Pity the bike played up, but there’s always next time. Life with a classic, eh? Les. PS, finally got my Innova special on the road!! Looks a bit like your CT!
the 43 year old screw has gone very loose
Help others by the puddle, and get a mouth full of mud in return 😆/ Put some gum on the screw. It will dry up and keep it from turning.
it only takes 1/16 of a turn to upset it it also winds in or out on its own
@@BigPezza I have actually seen this done on carbs, not with chewing gum but more like some kind of putty, or what do you call it in English. You press some of it on the screw head, and it stops it from moving. I just figured, chewing gum can be bought from any gas station and will harden enough, when it dries up.
