i use a lid, it’s a perspex cut so didn’t include in the filming but yes pls absolutely use a lid

I know this is an old build but just seen it...what was the point of the filter floss between the jbl substrate and the gravel....it appeared as if it made planting difficult by having to break through the filter floss when planting?

Yep it was me experimenting with different scaping methods. Mostly because I’m using heavy river rocks and over time usually it sinks into the soil, and the floss was meant to also help me when hoovering the gravel. It didn’t work very well in hindsight, but at least now i know!
