      I overpulled it with about 5 db compared to the usual level, that's it. It's still 5db lower than the voice levels, but it's enough for some of you guys who don't like this style (music is highly a personal preference) to complain. I totally understand, and -10 db on the music from now on, instead of -5db (as before). Cheers.

      Thanks, we pushed it a bit, it's not louder though than normal, it's -5 or -10db. But it seems louder because of the style, I agree. It depends a lot on the type of device you use, it's generally louder on headphones.

    Hey green aqua! I have some video ideas. We like to see trimming and maintenance videos to learn more and get better at this hobby. So maybe one last time you guys think about it; put an gopro on your maintenance guy and record all maintenance stuff. Then with another camera you can take closeup scenes shortly and add some small talk q/a passages. With good music and speedup; you can come up with some gooddamn video I believe that.
    Another idea that just came up now that is, maybe you can make a video every month about ten aquascapes you did in that month. That would be great too

      Not well, unfortunately. You'll ultimately have to prioritise the need of the fish over the overall health, so plants will suffer. (Temperature, pH). I think you'll be better off to not try to do it together, we've seen too many struggle for years.

    Hi, as you say not the cheapest setup, but what cost on perfection, just one question, maintenance, lot's of water changes to start I imagine, will it be harder than say a larger tank to maintain, due to smaller amount of water, ok 2 questions 🤣, osmosis or tap ? Great quality video as always. Thanks again.

I have a eheim pro 4. With matrix and puragen as well. My tank is having some brown alge on plant leaves. Mainly the S.Repens should I add more fine filler in one of the trays. Or I’ve been thinking it my light it’s a Fluval aqua sky 27w. With co2 and fertilizer as well. Do I need to get a stronger light to stop this problem. Where I live in the us. There’s nothing like the stores you guys have access to. Everything I have I can only see online and hope it’s what I was looking for these are manly plants and hard scape materials. I can’t just go to the nearest store to get anything it’s 2 thousand miles away in California. It’s the only place I trust. All products are ADA. Same in my tank from plants to soil system. If you can help in anyway please. Could you give some advice. This amazing world of Aquascaping is my second love. Just wish I was able to do more things and wasn’t so difficult.

    Hi, I am new to this fantastic hobby .. (I had 25 years ago an aquarium .. but in this time, things in this sector have changed a lot).
    I purchased this aquarium, I wanted to ask about the filter, if I can use this ... OASE BioMaster Thermo 250 - External Filter (although it is more expensive, patience, it seems of excellent quality, and a filter is a very important component), I ask it because it also has the heater and you can regulate the flow of water ... or do you think that this aquarium is exaggerated?
    I also wanted to ask you, if you can advise me on the choice of an outflow / inflow glass, suitable for this filter.
    sorry for my bad english.

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  4 роки тому +1

      You did not tell me the size of your filter, so here's the general rule:
      No filtration is exaggerated. If you feel it's too strong at the beginning, put a tap on the pressure side hose and close it partially. It does nothing to the filter, and you can open it up in 1-2 weeks when the filter clogs enough.

    I’m very curious if you feel the FiltoSmart 60 is really enough. I recently put one on a very small aquarium and felt it was not. I replaced it with a HOB filter. Perhaps there was something wrong with my FiltoSmart, as its flow was very weak.

    • @bluemanpaul
      @bluemanpaul 5 років тому

      True! £100 will barely cover the cost of a tank, filter and heater. I mean you can look around for cheaper brands and imported chinese stuff but if you are also investing in expensive fish and your knock of heater cooks them to death in the middle of the night it was a dumb purchase.

    5:22 can someone please explain why ceramic rings are bad? I've seen them used a lot for biological filtration and they seem to work just fine.

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  4 роки тому +4

      Well, they are not "bad" really, they are just not as efficient as some of the better-quality filter media out there. That said they might be working fine with many hobbyists. But if you watch our filtration tutorial video (in the tutorial playlist) you'll learn that we made extensive lab tests (media under microscope) and found out that your filtration would me much more efficient - thus you would be able to decompose Ammonia in the water more quickly, causing less algae - if you would use Seachem Matrix or even Eheim Substrate Pro.

    Sorry, but you were talking about setting up a cheap tank, I understand that you don't like comparing prices. (you probably have subsidies from tropica and ease) for recommending their products. Sorry, a; e in my opinion, this is not how to set up a cheap tank. Many beginners may be discouraged. I understand that quality has a price, when I started with this hobby I also tried to save money, and it went wrong. But for such a tank almost 1000 euros. I think that you should divide the films into those who have money and those who have a little less of them. For the amount you gave I put a 170-liter tank in Poland with an eheim filter, 4x39W lamp and active ground. I also have a co2 bottle, a good diffuser and a ph computer ..... I really like your movies, but sometimes you overdo it. Of course, if someone has money, they can, but there are many who have less and can get discouraged, and yet they can do cool aqua for less money.

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  5 років тому

      No. I was not talking about setting up a cheap tank. I hate talking about money anyway. We did not have a sponsorship on this tank btw. (We always let you guys know if we're sponsored). I think many beginners will turn away from this hobby because of algae and ugly tanks. There are many ways to make nice tanks, and your's is probably one of them. We have our own ways too. Thanks for watching, and for commenting again. Also, we have lower budget builds on this channel - just not as many. I would mainly like to show here what is possible if you don't count your money, but think of the end result, that's all.
