Deleted muffler and added exhaust tips with previously deleted resonator. I recommend doing this to your Mini Cooper S if you like your Mini to growl and burble even more aggressively! You wont be disappointed. I also installed Sprint Booster and JB + tune which makes the car so much fun to drive.

I did mine and I couldn’t be anymore happy, sometimes I don’t have to go anywhere just to turn the car on and listen to the cold start. Good way to start a morning

@@prestingfx If you have it done by your local muffler shop, to remove the muffler, resonator and intall tips will cost you under $200. You can buy tips on Amazon and have the shop install it.

I actually had the exact same thing done to my 11’ clubman, finished it off with 4” titanium finished tips

I did mine yesterday and it sounds amazing and the gear change pop is much louder also its not loud when u put it on green mode and go on a long trip its silent

@@highsiderider i noticed the jersey plate, I just got my catless mini inspected in jersey today and no issues. It’a got a Stage 2 RPM tune by Mario Palza that fools the system into thinking there’s nothing missing in the cat system!! Highly recommend!!
Now I need new spark plugs because I’ve been overusing sport mode on my countryman but so far recently got a new front mount intercooler probably gonna go for a cat back exhaust system if not a catless downpipe then stage 3 is on my way.
I’m doing mines as I write this! Lol

i have a de-cat on mine and stock jcw exhaust and it sounds similar only louder pops and a noticibel faster spooling turbo

@@karelpeeters7535 that’s good my countryman is pushing 350 hp with a m7 intake, forge front mount intercooler, catless downpipe replace the stock pipings with custom ones, 3” tips as well as a stage 2 manic tune. It’s loud asf but fast for a heavy mini.

Did you just hack it before the muffler, get clamps and stuck it all together? No need for a hanger?
I had a shop cut the muffler then weld a short piece of pipe between the tips and the main pipe where the muffler use to be. He then created a metal hanger welded it to the sides of the tips and used existing rubber hanger mount to hang the exhaust.
Which resonator did you delete? The boost pipe or the one on the exhaust?

did you do the resonator and muffler all at once or one at a time? I am thinking of deleting the resonator to hopefully gain some popping but the current sound level is about right for me. what are your thoughts?
From what understand, he did the resonator delete first then a year later, did the muffler. You can try the resonator first to see if its sounds good to you. If not, you can always delete the muffler later.
Is it too loud to do both muffler and resonator delete?
It is not annoying loud like a straight pipe. It sounds really nice and aggressive. The pops and burble only comes on in Sport mode, when you let off the gas. Even then, it's not constant.

There wiill be some at about 75mph. But not bad at all. Just an increase of sound level, which is expected.

If you do it you wont regret it. Go to your local muffler shop, they can cut the muffler and resonator off and install straight pipe for about hundred or so. If buy tips about $50 and about $50-75 to install.
Did you feel a loss of power by doing this? You have to have some back pressure.
No, not at all. If anything it feels faster to be honest. Probably from the more aggressive sound playing with my mind:)
@@highsiderider oh ok lol, I have a countryman s and its tuned but I was getting some hesitation on high boost. Once I removed the muffler the hesitation went away and i was thinking of removing the cat as well to make it straight pipe but the muffler guy said to leave it cause it needs some back pressure. 🤔 I might go ahead and remove it myself and see what happens.

Hello, is this the N14 or the N18 engine? 2011 up is the n18, n14 is 07-10'.

@@maxcrewe5898 by no means I'm an expert but knock wood, I have mine for almost nine years and have no issues at at all. I have read so much about the n14 engine's issues.

What diameter pipe did you put in place of the muffler and resonator? and how loud is it? is it enough to damage your ears while driving? its only a small engine so I imagine it's not that loud
Im thinking of getting an exhaust cutout just before the muffler, so i can dump the exhaust straight out and bypass the muffler at the press of a button. Would that sound the same? lol
The diameter if I recall correctly is between 2.25 to 2.5 inches. It's not annoying loud. It has a nice growl while idling and accelerating. You can hear it in this video what it sounds like. There is a some droning at highway speeds which is expected.
I don't know what it would sound like if you just do a bypass cutout before the muffler and dumping it there. I imagine it may sound different than mine since the pipe path and the the dual tip changes the tone of the exhaust compared to doing a cutout.

@@PneumaticFrog So, yes it is a single pipe all the way to the muffler. This exhaust tip I have is a single pipe that splits into dual exhaust.

It’s LOUD
If you have a catless downpipe just do 2nd cat and resonator delete
Leave the muffler
If you want it louder then delete the 2nd cat and muffler but leave the resonator
(This is still very loud)
