    "Down by the willow Garden" or "Rose Connolly" is an old murder ballad.
    Seems to be one of those songs that has been passed over the Atlantic a few times between Irish and American shores.
    Its origins is unknown but it's believed to have come from Ireland and popularized in the states by Charlie Monroe in 1947.
    The Song tells a story of a man facing the gallows for the murder of his lover, he gave her wine, stabbed her, and threw her in the river. Who said romance is dead?
    Shot and recorded by the river Bonet in Lurganboy forest Co. Leitrm.

    I get it, but that instrument doesn't sound different.I mean a guitar or a piano.You can play Different songs.That's kind of like a banjo.It's just mandolin but everything sounds the same
