Very simple and cheap animation of the first few minutes of Big Finish's Once and Future: Past Lives, wanted to do something for the 60th anniversary so I started work on this yesterday! Unsure if I'll continue this but if I do, full version would not have audio in the background. AI voices may sound more technically similar to the old Doctors’ voices, but trust me, the technology isn’t there yet. AI voices sound completely soulless, unlike the actors in the video who are giving their own interpretations of the Doctors, focusing on a good performance instead of completely impersonating the voices

It's not always about whether they sound exactly the same, it's about capturing their presence. Certainly Tim Trelor captures Pertwee very well in the few I've listened to

Imposter actors? One of them is literally the son of the original, stop complaining about this stuff. AI will never be people, the fact that you say this means you really don't get acting at all

We don’t want “Genuine” voices, we want impersonators, we want more and more actors who sound similar but not the same, we want this family of talent to grow through out the years, and not use AI, you’re probably a very lovely person but anyone who suggests using AI to replace art and talent is a phenomenal bastard.
