excellent wardance rendition in this period. hard not to be absolutely PROUD of the joke..and who would have thought in 2019 they would be touring with original lineup? out of all of the internationally known bands from the uk, they are sadly the last of the great original music acts with global notoriety. banshees, cure, pistols/pil, fall, crass, there are many, but the JOKE still stands and original, as well as the adicts i believe. I am very proud of those 2 artists. they have both put their very souls into it, and it shows
Absolutely a gem, thankyou for uploading. Brilliant to see Martin Atkins drumming in the era, plus his style is very distinctive. He was prolific in this period with Ministry, Pigface and Murder inc. He must like that top, he wore one in Ministry clips. Check out the clip “Breathe” by Ministry. Fantastic drummer, but as a Gatherer, Big Paul owns the drummer stool. Wow never seen Raven with that much hair. Had to double check it was him.. This album turned the ship around for me. The previous two albums were dross and they went downhill after the brilliant Night time. When this came out, the energy was back. Understandable now, as Jaz explained they were in legal battles with EG, as EG ripped them off as well as other label mates such as King Crimson and Roxy music. After this period Killing Joke reclaimed their massive ENERGY. So good to see.
this is the time line i should have seen them in, if i was paying attention. i absolutely love this period, particularly the b-sides "the artist" and "the fanatic." my love for their material leans towards the songs that they don't acknowledge live anymore, ala "suns." can we resurrect paul raven, please?

I reckon the majority of people in America hate america ...it´s hardly the people, it´s a culture based on the worst elements of european culture , genocide, greed , slavery at the same level ,say , the catholic church poisoned the minds of pretty much all southern europe ... seriously, only the military, been there so, you are a kid testosterone ridden, pack mentality, competition, you know little of what the hell you´re doing there, you just want to be ´The Hero archetype` ...despair and processing comes later- offtopic, apologise, there´s everything to hate about american society unless you´re not profitting from it somehow which generally involves the exploitation of others in one way or another .
Intravenous. Why would Martin Atkins do that to himself? I guess when you are trying to replace Big Paul you have to push yourself to the limit, and beyond. I saw them on the US leg of this tour, and they didn't play nearly as many of these Extremities selections. Though they did do Money is Not Our God twice as they shot the concert parts of the video.
We would get blazed on trance weed and listen to trance music by killing joke. Extremities is my second favorite behind thousand suns 🤘🏻

Saw them in New York on this tour, fucking brilliant. Full of intensity, tension and release.
My hunch was always Martyn Atkins brought on the frenetic & extended arrangements on Extremities

I thought Jaz had a home in Arizona, I believe. I recall an interview where he states Arizona is a beautiful place. Funny how things turn out.

Saw them in 1981/1982 (Manchester) 1994 (Phoenix festival) and 2014 (Hebden Bridge). Always intense.
