I was actually thinking about skipping this episode because I’ve never been big on soundtracks but I’m glad I didn’t! Honestly my favorite part was was the “pissing people off” section of non-winners!😂 Was Saturday Night Fever a close call, just curious??? I think a “non-rock and roll” sequel may be necessary and I do have one complaint…WHERE’S THE SOUNDTRACK TO ANIMAL HOUSE!!!
Saturday Night Fever not even close !!! Animal House was considered but not top 10 either !

I agree with your exclusions.
Personally I would have gone with Martin Scorsese over Cameron Crowe and I agree with Quentin Tarantino as one of the GOATS of soundtracks.
TBH Jerry Maguire is the only CC film I have ever seen.
Ginger throwing chips all over the casino as Love is Strange plays is one of my favorite moments where a film and soundtrack come together in a movie.
Now that I know Almost Famous is kinda sorta about the Allman Bros I will check it out.
I thought it was just "Rolling Stone reporter tells us how awesome it was to be a Rolling Stone reporter back in the day, doing drugs and nailing chicks".
Thanks for checking out the channel. Make no mistake Almost Famous is about CC . The band Stillwater is a composite of several bands but they were utilized to represent the Allmans who CC went cross country at 15 with !
If you haven’t checked out Singles I highly recommend it ! Just seeing the scene with the guys in Pearl Jam watching the documentary on bees it’s worth it lol.

Scorsese does do a masterful job with his soundtracks as well but I highlighted QT & CC for their very hands on approach

You were 98% spot on, but how in the world is Grosse Pointe Blank excluded? Come on Anthony... that was practically the soundtrack of high school!?
I agree 100% that "Almost Famous" is the best.
You know it’s a tough call . I could have also put on 3 other Cusack films, Say Anything , Hi Fidelity & 16 Candles. Sacrifices needed to be made. Besides got leave room for discussion.
