Thanks for the tour. It reminds me of the place my wife and I stayed in for 6 months in Belgravia. If you're self-employed and able to live in London you're doing something right. Well done!
I'm always amazed how on the ball you are with your London facts and even I, myself as a Londoner have learnt a great deal from your videos. London is such a big city, I would love to see you visit every single borough. Im planning to do this myself as its so easy to stay in your own little mini London bubble and not see the wider city. Each weekend I'm visiting a new borough - maybe even more than one if theyre neighbouring and visiting somewhere nice, even if its just a park and grabbing a bite to eat. Any time you meet anyone in London, wherever they are, you can at least say 'yeah, I went there once and there was this amazing bagal/donut place' etc. I havent seen any other UA-camr do this and with your insight and knowledge I think that could be a very popular series for you
It's so cool to see someone who appreciates having a dishwasher! I've been living with too many people recently who either don't use them or appreciate the benefits 😂
Beautiful apartment Jess! Great job! We are paying a fair amount for our place in Wimbledon Park but like you, we love the area, the high street, we’re close to the gym and the station, we have a quiet apartment, and we are close to our friends! All that makes the rent completely worth it! 🤩
Thanks for posting Jess. I'm actually submitting my application for a job in London tomorrow, wish me luck! Your videos on moving to London may very well come in handy. :)
Got so excited to see so many photos from Sri Lanka in your living room. I recently moved to London (temporarily) and your videos have been amazingly helpful. Keep rocking girl!
Dishwashers...I completely agree! Even though I live alone and resisted it for quite a while. Looks like you lucked out/chose extremely well on the flat.
Great video! I'm in East London, as well, and my next-door neighbors (a couple) were paying £1,300 per month for their one bedroom. They moved because prices in the city, in general, were becoming too high and the landlord increased the rent for the incoming tenant to £1,750! Little did they know what it was before!
I almost moved to London . I even had a solicitor taking care of my documents and stuff but I would definitely miss my Texas size lifestyle I have here . Cheers from Austin Texas . Claudia
Nicely done Jess! I got a tip on how to get the best out of Bialetti coffee makers that I know swear by: Boil the water in your kettle first, fill up to under the pressure valve, pack the coffee loosely, remove the maker from the heat as soon as the spluttering stops (you don't want it to boil).
My impression of London real estate is that it is extremely competitive and difficult to find a nice place. You have succeeded -- congratulations on your beautiful home! It looks so clean and open. The way you have decorated is very bright and cheerful. It is the perfect space. I hope you make many happy memories there :)
Hi Jess; I hope you are doing well. I just watched few of your videos, enjoyed them and became a subscriber! Although, I usually do not write comments I thought I should write this one here, just to appreciate what you're doing! Today, after I woke up, I was feeling quite agitated, low and bored; I felt really fed up with everything, so just wrote on UA-cam 'things to do in London', with the hope to at least go somewhere to change my mood. After watching some random videos, I met your channel! I don't know what was about your video, maybe the background music, your tone of voice, smile or the way that you explained things; whatever it was, watching your video just made me feel so calm! Then, after I watched this video of you, seeing how beautifully you have designed your flat; I got some motivation to do the same as well. It's not a lie to say your videos were more helpful than having different sessions of therapy :) You are such a lovely, down to earth and humble person, I can say this just by watching your videos! So, thank you for everything!
On this earth planet, the London city is the perfect n awesome place to live in.... Jess !! the best part of video is that you are enjoying too while narrating about the flat which really touched me....
We have a heated towel rack. I thought it was a luxury, now it is a necessity. I put my undies on the rack to warm up while I am in the shower. Unfortunately, most American bathrooms don't have power in the wall where towels are hung. Also, getting a curved shower curtain rod makes the curtain much more tolerable, it keeps the curtain away from you.
I also live in East London in a similar apartment and even though the prices are HIGH... you get what you pay for. A quiet area, new appliances included and a nice modern flat!! Also East London is well connected!! Some rental flats/houses out there are cheaper but just a pain to live in (next to busy roads, no appliances, constantly needing attention from homeowners to repair stuff, noise insultation, old heating system...). I really like your flat! My living room theme is also blue and yours looks lovely 💙💙!! Congratulations!!
I’m actually moving to London next week! Your flat has quite a nice bit of storage without looking cluttered! That little green (faux?) plant on top of the Bathroom cab makes a lot of difference :) I like your style!
Great to see a positive American attitude with humbleness too. Hopefully, your creativity efforts will continue so you can buy this nice little place or similar. Take care.
I LOVE your flat and what you did with it Jess! Great style and use of upcycled furniture. Gotta say the 🍋 hit a chord with me. Great video, thank you. The plant yet to name is a Dracena Fragrans. ‘Slim Aaron’s The High Life’ was one of the most amazing films I have ever seen on Amazon Prime. Must have watched it 5 times. Unfortunately they have taken it off at the moment. I should have just purchased it. It inspired me to buy his books. Lamp looks like it’s from Rockett St George.
Lovely apartment.l really admire you for being able to adjust to renting because I can't. Been in the uk since 2020 and I decided to go back home because for me nothing compares to having my own place and not having to worry about rent.

Congratulations Jess Amazing flat! one question, How do you hang all these paintings on the wall? I am living in canary wharf and my owner said your can't drill anything. Don't know how to hang my ikea photo frame
I haven't used it myself, but I saw a demonstration of a 3M picture hanging kit with a painting being moved around on a wall without any drilling needed (you may be able to find a video of it on here). It consisted of a hook held on to the wall by some amazing adhesive tape. I don't know quite how it works, but you can easily release the hook and move it to a new location, without leaving any mark on the wall. It can hold the weight of a large heavy painting with ease.
I've done some nails in the wall which I will patch up and paint over when I leave but there are also 3m Command strips that usually work for not super heavy pieces!
