I lived in that white house on Church row when I was a kid, the one with the wooden facia boards. The floors weren`t very level 😆
Move; you need a dog ❤ (seems to be something off, can’t write in the normal place - 🙏🏼😘
Hi Hannah, I'm a big fan of your channel. I found your videos very comforting, as I recovered from major surgeries, thank you.
As for your new camera, this is the one. I thought the clarity was top notch and I loved the way the colours, naturally popped out.
I know you get a little self-concious on your walkabouts speaking into the lens... However, you are walking around tourist London, where so many people are making vlogs or social media videos. I would image most people have seen vloggers, etc, on a daily basis and in 2024, it's just part of everyday life... So, just own it and enjoy it.
Your potential idea of going into houses and filming the layouts, would add an extra dimension to your channel...
Please please show me how this works! Can I watch uk tv programmes abroad even if they are not listed on the NordVPN list of countries?
"I think that is a bird in the background" says the bird in the foreground
Don't be shy or be afraid vlogging out in the public. Be yourself Hannah you got this. You got the heart for the camera and vlogging.
❤
Absolutely agreed.
You’re great at blogging, you are one of the few I watch on a regular basis. Thanks for the great content. Believe in yourself!! We do!!
Well said!!
Any shop you feature should feel PRIVILEGED,those house sellers recognize that.
You worry too much about your vlogs. They're never boring, and the quality of the film/camera doesn't matter to me, I just enjoy watching where you go. You're probably one of the few that I can actually be bothered to click 'like' every time cos it's so apparent how much work goes into it and there's no fakery with you. I look forward to watching every week, please don't ever give up.
Very true and straight to the point. What Hannah needs to know is she is an absolute natural at this.
Thank you so much!
So true
Do you know something, you're the best vlogger on UA-cam, the way you film, the music you play and the assortment of places you visit, i absolutely love your channel 👍
I agree
Agree, love your vlogs Hannah (camera is fine) Great variety and particularly love the walks around the gorgeous areas like Hampstead. Keep up your great work - you’re a breath of fresh air 👏
Wow, thank you!
I JUST found her channel! so stoked :)
Absolutely agree! I’ve just come across Hannah - what a delight to watch and listen! I thoroughly enjoy listening to the video. It’s like catching up with a long lost friend! Looking forward to the next chat!! 🤗
So pretty ❤ I’ve just got divorced after 25 years and bought my dream ‘tiny home’, a 3 bedroom static caravan on a country park in Lincolnshire situated on a lake with wildlife all around. Hope everyone finds their dreams and is as happy in them as I am in mine ❤❤❤
That sounds so lovely. If we moved to the UK that's about all we could afford (coming from NZ), but I love the idea of living in a tiny home. Q, is it warm enough to live in one in the UK 🇬🇧 🤔
@@karynhitchman2498 yes, it has heating, hot water, electricity etc. Mine cost £19000, yearly ground rent is £3600, insurance £200, gas and electricity roughly £500 each for the year. Water is free, no gardening as it’s included along with bins emptied twice a week. Lakeside walks, dogs welcome, I have 2 plus my bearded dragon. It’s a 10 month site as I couldn’t move away from being close to my parents as they’re elderly but you can get 12 month sites where you can live all year. I’m splitting the two months between a trip to Spain with my daughter and staying with a friend 😊💕💕
That sounds lovely. Congratulations!!
♥️
Congratulations! ❤
Boring? Never, it's always entertaining and not long enough in my opinion. Thank you for giving up time on your day off(I cherish my days off) to show us around. Till Tuesday have a fabulous weekend.
Agreed!
You have no idea how much this video means to me. I was born in hampstead, but now live in Portugal. I miss home so much. Please never stop doing this type of vlogs 🤎
So glad you liked it!!
Same! Born in Hampstead - home in Highgate. Loved watching this. I don’t live in the UK anymore - I miss the Heath the most. 💚
Not Boring. Especially for those of us who do not live in London. I love your walkabouts. 💖
The private gardens, the period homes and the nook and crannies are reasons why London is the best walking tour. You just game me one
Camera quality is outstanding! It felt like I was walking around with you! 🤗
If & when you get nervous just imagine we are all there with you cheering you on , which is kinda of what we are doing when we watch later anyways x
Thank you!
Please speak for yourself.
Ms. Hannah -- your videos are amazing, your enthusiasm for London things and UK things are amazing, the tourist department should be paying you. Your joy gives your viewers joy. Don't let the gray sky people who don't like you with your camera as you are out and about get you down, they are far more people cheering you on! Stay you! YOU are the reason people watch your vlogs.
They aren't boring at all! - social media in general just encourages us to fall into numerical obsession with viewership metrics and such - which overwhelmingly depend upon the latest caprice of the algorithm (and is entirely out of anyone's control); you need to prioritise your well-being and mental health - and give yourself more credit!
What a lovely lady you are and you just make going around London such a joy. Thank you from Scotland.
Absolutely love Hampstead, Hannah, it's so stunning! I was sitting outside The Holly Bush pub, a few weeks ago, watching the world go by, and Ricky Gervais walked past me talking on his phone. Although it was a very cloudy day, he had shades on as you'd expect from a huge star, doing their best not to be recognised. Also, when there was a McDonalds on the high street, I bumped into Liam Gallagher, who was in there with his then, very young son. Gotta love Hampstead, never a dull moment! 😊
Oh wow!!
And in the 60s I saw Peter o'Toole (who he?)with Sian Phillips in a coffee shop there. I went to drama college nearby.
I love all your vlogs. It doesn't matter where you go. You
take us to places, I'll never get to. I love your English accent and
listen to you talk forever. You're like our own personal tour
guide around London and the UK.
Thank you for just being you,
From a viewer in Colorful Colorado USA
I used to live in Belsize Park, Hampstead is just up the road from there. It's always been pretty special. I now live in Andalusia, where there's a serious water shortage so, yeh, you send us some rain and I'll send you some of our sun. Xx
None of your Vlogs are boring, they're the highlight of the week. The new camera is great too 🙂
Random fact about Hampstead. The residents were totally against having a McDonald's there but ironically, before it expanded, the first head office was above a bank next to the free purple store by the look of it. Once they started to have more than about 7 or 8 restaurants they moved into bigger premises. As you say , it is a very nice place that is also very expensive but represents what London used to be years ago.
It really doesn't. Hampstead is a very cosmopolitan place now, whereas decades ago it was more British/Jewish.
Hannah i thought you already live in Hampstead..?
@@TTriggHanna lives in West Hampstead
I miss the maccies! It used to have loads of beautiful paintings of Hampstead so it never even felt like a McDonalds inside
I repeat: "Don't be shy or be afraid vlogging out in the public. Be yourself Hannah you got this. You got the heart for the camera and vlogging." - kisses from Portugal
This area is just lovely. Nice architecture, shops, restaurants and coffee shops sprinkled along the roadways and walkable! Great atmosphere and the little gardens, so sweet.❤
Thanks for another lovely video, Hannah. I’ll bet the carpet on the walls of the coffee shop helps to muffle the noise. There’s so much to see, you can surely return to Hempstead for another video. My favorite phrase of yours is “are you joking?” It makes us feel like we’re walking by your side!
I like the new camera, the videos are great quality. I love seeing different all the different areas! Please don’t stop the walking tours. I love them!
Thank you for being you! It’s your natural self that makes them special!
Hi Hannah, the most obvious differences in house exteriors are that Georgian houses tend to be flat fronted (so yes Georgian houses at the 18.03 mark) whereas Victorian houses tend to have bay windows and Edwardian houses often have wooden porches and mock-tudor timbers at the top of the house. Very basic description of the main differences.
Abroad in Japan is another UA-camr....i'm a fan of his channel, think it'll be right up your street Hannah!
Yes, me too. Been watching Chris, and Sharla, for years. It was fun to see his book featured here.
Yes, more bookshops! I love all the different buildings and always want to explore those little sidestreets. Another lovely vlog. Thanks, Hannah!
I love that you show independent shops because I can add them to my list of places to visit.
As an American I am always in awe of how old and beautiful the architecture in Europe is. I have visited London and I loved it. There is so much to see there I think its time to visit again!
Hannah I could listen to you all day long your videos are incredible and you present London wonderfully well take care can’t wait for what’s next
Thank you for showing us Hampstead, Hannah. I enjoy getting to know London through your eyes, and your comments are great. I feel as if we are two friends taking a walk through these different places.
I love watching your vlogs. Having never travelled outside my own country, it gives me a chance to see other places without physically doing it myself. Dont doubt yourself about your vlogs, your a very pretty young lady, you speak clearly, keep doing what you do best. Cheers from Australia.
Hi Hannah, my wife and I always enjoy your videos, whether you are strolling the streets of London, visiting unique art exhibits or museums. We want to encourage you to keep being you and sharing what you like. My wife likes your hair, she thinks it is pretty. Keep positive and keep enjoying what you do and what you want to share. Blessings.
Old England at its best. Hamstead looks beautiful. Thank you.
Hannah you are NEVER boring.
Awww i just loveeee milling around with “my new bestie” in BLUE! Ya look perf! NO this is NOT boring + yes girl YOU neeeeeed a doggie to walk with!!! Love the menus, love the bookstores, cute peppy music, love kitch shops, flower shops, and the architecture & history! BUT freakin’ loveeee antiques + flea markets!!! PLEASE be a travel HOST & host a trip one day + be my tour guide!!! Saving money now 🥹😘🫶🏼xoxo, from Texas
I love Hampstead. We explored it last time we were in London 🇬🇧❤
this is my fav type of video, Hannah ! just casually exploring less touristy spot. love it!
I see why you love Hampstead, wow ! Love the architecture, the small streets, the flower shops, the other shops, everything. I too could live there. Thank you.
Stop doubting yourself Hannah, you’re content is great and you always look beautiful.
Dear Hannah, congatulations and THANK YOU for another oustanding, pleasant video, whoever, as a British lady, is expected due to your education and upbringing to SAY THANK YOU at the end of your videos (something usually missing from south Americans and north Americans vlogers). Please, make us BRITISH PROUD and show that basic acts of education are STILL VERY PRESENT in our CULTURE (PLEASE AND THANK YOU BEEING USED ).
Oh god, there’s something in the harmony and symmetry of Georgian architecture that is so pleasant to see.
It’s definitely one of my favourites, with the flemish inspired Victorian architecture of Mayfair around the Mount Street area.
I think it’s because both has this brick and white windows combinations I find so quintessentially London. ❤
Love all your vlogs. I’m American and have been to London several times and am still surprised how much I haven’t seen. I love watching these when I get home from work. I make a nice easy meal , maybe a glass of wine or tea and settle in for another tour of my fav city with my fav ‘tour guide’ Hannah.
Always enjoy your London ‘tours’. Lovely to see areas of London away from the usual tourist sights. Thank you for sharing.
Anyone would be so lucky to live in Hampstead. It's just lovely. All those lovely shops and cafes. Georgian is my favourite architecture, so I really enjoyed watching. Don't be too upset about the rain, Hannah. It's sunny here in Perth today but we've just had our first rain in nearly 8 months and we love it after such a horribly hot summer.
I LOVE all those quaint streets around there and I’m not envious either… MUCH!
Hannah ~ This was so enjoyable! Granted, I’m 58 years old and might not be your target demographic… but I love the walk abouts !!! Also, I truly can see the difference with the new camera - everything is very crisp and in focus. It makes your eyes look especially sparkly …even on an overcast day!!!
I love your walk-about vlogs! It really amazes me the way you talk to the camera as though you're with people! It just occurred to me as I was watching that you're actually alone, but I really did feel like I was there! What a great neighborhood! Thank you!
I am not surprised the estate agents are contacting you Hannah as I always imagined you would present a TV show like a Place in the Sun
Beautiful architecture and landscaping! Please keep up the good work! Video is beautiful and so are you! Don't stop what you doing Hannah! God bless you !
Went there last weekend..had Sunday lunch in The Magdala pub...where Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hung in England...shot her lover...bullet holes still in the wall outside!
Really friendly pub!
Thanks again for another lovely stroll around town.
Why not do the home tours? Sounds like fun and I think you'd be great at it.
My husband Richard and I watch all the time. He thinks that the camera you're using now is the best yet. Keep up the good work.
Tea Cozy Chic - lol - that's why we love following you along.
Not boring at all, love them, please continue. Your hair is lovely xx
Oh Hannah would be great at showing properties, negotiate a good price and do it 😊. Love being out n about in fabulous Hampstead ❤. Take care. Rosie O x
My uncle lived in Parliament Hill during the 60s and 70s and property prices were very high then. If you want to see properties whose prices are stratospheric, walked down Bishops Avenue
That book is by Chris broad who has the UA-cam channel 'Abroad in Japan', i love his channel as I'm interested in Japan 😁
Love the walk around videos and the camera is very crisp and clear
Living here in Asia where there's plenty of sun, I just love seeing cloudy skies with different shades of gray and occasional gusty winds
Your walk along videos are always enjoyable as I feel like I’m touring along with you who is very knowledgeable about all things London. I visited London last year and often felt turned around as the streets remind me of a plate of noodles compared to cities like NY that follow a grid pattern. I enjoy the twists & turns but found them disorienting at the same time. Always beautiful though as I love the old architecture. You do a great job sharing your city with us.☕️
Thank you Hanna for invite us to "travel" with your "classy elegance" through the fantastic LONDON
An excellent vlog as always Hannah. I have lived in Canada for 34 years and truly appreciate watching a piece of home every week. I was willing you to take us to M&S, maybe next time :). Thank you again for everything.
And THAT'S why it's called Hampstead Village. Gorgeous. Yes please for the house tours, an occasional one would be fab if they're offering. Whilst watching I ate a Hershey's Cookies & Creme bar. No wonder Americans call it candy, nothing like chocolate, it's given me a sore throat, never again! 😮 When I see lovely cards in book shops I always buy to have some at home when needed. Have a good Bank Holiday weekend, it's still cold, got my heating on! 😰💙
There's no place with the charm of the U.K.! The architecture, the history, the traditional culture...! Indeed like stepping into a book. Thank you for taking us along on your little expeditions. 😊
I spend a holiday in London last year. My bed&breakfast was in Hampstead near the Heath. I loved it so much! Sadly, I haven‘t seen enough of Hampstead because I headed for central London as well. I loved walking to Kenwood House and then continuing with a tour on Highgate Cemetery, then ending with Parliament Hill ♥️
Hampstead is beautiful the air is so clean up there . A great video thank you so much .
England is such a bucolic, gentle country. I absolutely love the architecture there.
When I think of London I visualize what you are showing me. It’s so stunning. I would totally check out that crepe place. Thank you for showing us how the other half in London live. Sending good weather vibes to you. It’s glorious here today 24Cel and sunshine.
This vlog was as great as the Cotswolds was. And that one was all our favorite.
Richmond deserves a mention...and a vlog.
I do love London , but we do feel more safe in West Hampstead’ and Muswell Hill , some of the few areas which remains traditionally British..❤
Considering the sun hadn't come out, the videography is really quite clear and crisp. Good job.
That was tremendous - more Hampstead please! You could fill two or three volgs alone.
Hampstead Garden Suburb and Bedford Park look wonderful.
Hi Hannah - yes, the majority of those buildings are definitely Georgian architecture.
Your videos are never boring and your stream of consciousness presentation is what makes it fun. When your channel gets to 1M subscribers maybe you can move to Hampstead🙂
these vlogs are not boring at all! i always feel like im walking and chatting with a friend when i watch these. Also the camera quality looks great, keep using it c:
I love your videos. My husband's company has openings in London. He keeps applying and is an alternate for one position. It is my dream to live there. I love your videos!
Hi Hannah, as always, wonderful to see you. The new jacket is lovely, looks good on you. Your camera is great and I love the walk-about vlogs! It's too bad your building doesn't allow dogs. 🐕 You are really doing a great job vlogging and all the hard work you put into your vlogs doesn't go unnoticed and it's very much appreciated. Since you didn't get any flowers here's a bouquet for you. 💐Have a really wonderful weekend! Take care, Lots of love Kathy x 🌸🌺🌷
I would walk through here in the mid 80s with my mum. Was a bit different then! Thanks for the memories ❤
Yes Hannah youve got a DJI. please do not be afraid vlogging as your vids give me confidence doing the same. Make me laugh with your commentary and its great your showing us London.
This journey around London has been interesting. I love cozy bookshops. It has been very pleasant watching yours vlogs. 👍
Stunning! What a gem. Totally livable for London life.
This is a very pretty area. Please don't feel bad about vlogging in public, I think it's the norm now. Love all your videos. Camera is great
Lovely Hampstead. I lived there for a year in the 90’s, my heart! Sending 🌞 from 26c Cape Town. Love your videos!
Lovely vlog. Those pies in the beginning looked amazing!
Did you know that the Nobel Prize Laureate for Literature Elias Canetti was a resident of Hampstead Heath before he moved to Switzerland where he spent his final years. I love his work. He was also the first german author to be published as a Penguin Classic. I loved the bookshop part. You live in one of the most beautiful citys in the world. Kilian Winkelmann, Hamburg.
The first time I was in London in 2017, was staying in a condo in Hampstead. I had no idea it was considered fancy lol. When I told everyone I met they were so impressed. It was a pleasant area, a bit out of the way from central London. I still prefer staying in Chelsea. It’s so quiet you forget you’re in a big city.
I've never been to the Hampstead area of London but having visited via you,I can see why all those artists, writers etc then but still now, love to live here.
In the early part of the film I kept thinking you should have been accompanied by Joolz!,that would have been a hoot!
I agree, you and Joolz doing a Hampstead vlog together would be fun!
I love the camera!!! It takes a bit to get use to with filming but I absolutely love it. It glides so well.
Another fun fact about hampsteadians - they strongly opposed installing additional mobilephone antenas and the mobile internet there is just garbage. I tend to connect to a free wifi from some shop or pub if I need to access the internet.
But, yes Hampstead is by far the best place I've been in London. I am so happy to live just accross the street from it. And who knows, may be one day I will be living there too.
Its definitely difficult to find the depth of history that is around every corner of London! This is a really nice area with a relaxed energy, character, and proximity to the city centre that I can imagine adds to the unbelievable rent in the area. All those quaint pubs, restaurants, and cafes would be good to have close by
Love Hampstead, went to boarding school there (Vane Close) in the 70's it was so cool.
Thank you for the bookstore visit! So many great books and dogs!
Lovely video. Those houses were Georgian- plainer, classical, more pared back, symmetrical. Love 'em.
Great job! We really enjoyed seeing London!
You have great class and charm.
🤗♥️🇬🇧
I am too advanced in years to ever return to the UK but your walking tours make me feel as tho I'm right there! Thank you Hannah for such a lovely experience! I really enjoyed this!❤
Donna USA
Always love your content and your natural commentary. The camera seems good.
Hampstead is gorgeous. For a time I went there every week to do some dream research, with quite a famous name who has been published twice. One evening I met a famous politician, who walks his dog on the Heath every day, he was Prime Minister once, I quite like him, but when I described what I was doing right oposite the house where the dream research was taking place, he went nuts ! "He is completely mad, absolutely nuts !" was his description of the guy I and 8 others spent the year with. Once I went into a pub on Flask Walk, the loud voices went very quiet, until I finished my drink and left, the voices started up again as I was leaving ! Ooops, a bit tribal I must say. During summer I think it was August 1974 I was with three girls, my friends girlfriends and a sister. We went to the Heath because it was such a lovely day. I was plonking away on my guitar and I noticed the girls keep looking to my right. There was a fair haired guy, with his chin in upturned palms watching. On return to Wood Green to my place I asked who they were looking at. David Gilmour was the reply "Who?" was my reply. The whole freaking bus full of peeps then clocked me as though I was an ignorant whatsaname. I was, until they asked me if I had ever heard of Pink Floyd ..... Ooops again :)
What a lovely video Hannah. Not gonna lie, that Jacket you tried on... looked fabulous with your paints : ) I'm glad you picked it up! Love your videos!
