Same! I met mine through a dating app too and I also spent some time meeting other guys (different types) until I found him. It can work definitely! 🙂 (I am also from abroad and was new to London too)
Loved this video. I realized that I made some unique and funny facial expressions and reactions to all of you ladies answers haha! Good questions and even better answers. As an American myself, I completely agree with Paige. The accent definitely gets the girls attention haha! Awesome video. Keep on rockin Jess!
The observations regarding cultural differences are interesting. The advantage of London is you meet people from all over the world. In general I find girls easier to talk to who are from countries where straight talking is considered normal.
I'm an American, moving to London at the end of the year. I'd love to hear what gay dating will be like there, especially for someone interested more in a relationship than hookups.
I appreciated the comment that Americans are sometimes considered to be in London temporarily. I'm going to London for four weeks in March to see if it would be a good fit for retirement. I can see now that my short-term status may be a turn off dating-wise. I mean I'm still going to try to date while I'm there, but will now try to be more sensitive to that potential issue. Also, thanks for the Hinge recommendation!
I don't drink at all and I just wanted to say that almost any date location that is good with alcohol is great without too! Something active like indoor bouldering or a boxing class is particularly good as you can't drink if you're doing those things! Alternatives can also include hookah/shisha bars or unique dessert places if you want the relaxed evening feel but fancy sharing hookah or having a tea/dessert instead of a drink after dinner. Museum lates are great for the evening as there's no pressure to drink but the vibe is quite intimate.
Paige said that some Brits think she's here temporarily...but she's now moved back to the US (or is in the process of doing so), so surely she can understand the guys perspective on this point?
Love this video. I think another question or topic about dating should be paying for dates. I have gone on dates with men in their mid 30s-40s and 99% of them split the bill. This is not the norm everywhere in the world. Would love to hear you pov. Thank you
Hello Jess I’ve just recently discovered your channel and subscribed and loved the video and I hope all of you love ❤️ living here in England 🏴 and I loved the way the lovely young woman in the middle just smiled and laughed when answering the question about sex on a first date and your 3 lovely young women and look forward to seeing more of your videos and take care and stay safe to you and your friends in the video love ❤️ from the north of 🏴🥰🤗💖
Just through my own experiences regarding who approaches first. In the US, guys seem to easily approach women first and there’s times it’s not Subtle - just being straight out asked. I think many women in the US can agree on this with their own experiences here, sometimes it can be a little much or sometimes it can be very flattering. On the other side of the spectrum, In London, during my visits there in the early 2000s(and this can change now), to me it’s definitely more subtle. From my own observations, sometimes it first starts with an eye contact and how one reacts to that before even starting a conversation (so fyi to Californians who are used to just smile at anything and everything, and not really think of anything lol). No right or wrong way on approaches, just cultural differences 🙂.
Interesting discussion … would be interested in knowing where to go to find 30+ year olds on a weekend. Think we’re all hiding in our respective zone 3 local pubs? 😅
I'm about to move to London from Australia. My friend in London tells me that London is the worst place to be dating, a souless place. However, I think this remains to be seen.
Quality of women in London is low and dating market is oversaturated with man from outside of Europe (80%+ immigrants from outside of Europe are males) so consider it and you have dating paradise for women and horrible for man (too much competition). Women are extremely picky and complain a lot even though they have more options than they would anywhere else in Europe (maybe except paris). This is from Central European perspective, here we have healthy balance of man to female ratios and healthier approach to life and yet women don’t complain as much as those.
@@loveandlondon if it’s true then what’s the problem ? I have traveled all over Europe and have seen a lot. London is one of the worst places for dating for European straight male but one of the best for women and BAME type of males.
Here’s an interesting point: I met my wife through a dating app. She was like my 30th date, I was her first! It can work!!! 😍
30th? Jesus Christ, I would have lost the will to live at that point.
@@dazza9326 haha. To be honest, almost everyone was a really nice conversation so it was still a nice evening, even if nothing would come from it.

Interesting!
Nice insights ladies. Kelli brings back fond memories from women during my time in NYC. Great looks, nice voice and good wit.

Haha! Such an honor to have my question picked! 😃
Thank you. Great video, by the way. Am also new to the London dating scene.

My husband and I met on hinge in USA 😍 and we know 4 more couples who met each other on that dating app and got married❤
3 lovely ladies right there

We filmed this two years ago. At the time, she planned to stay. If she had met someone, things might have been different.

Give me some tips on how to pick up women in London im a single American man from New York
You don't really "pick up" women. That's kinda an old school way to go about it. Just strike up conversations and go from there.
@@loveandlondon ok thanks ill start at a pub cause i drink sometimes and i know if you buy a woman a drink that's how the conversation starts
How can I hang out with y’all

Hey @love London if someone ask you for a drink that is a date?
Depends! If you aren't sure, just ask.

Anyone had any experience meeting future partners through meetup? Is it any good?
In my opinion there isn't any one "solution". It's best to put yourself out there as much as possible, in whatever way you find enjoyable!
If the date isn’t mini golf then u gotta dead it 🤞🏼
