I have a question. How do you put this mower in neutral to allow manually pushing it? We need to get ours to the shop.

There is a little lever (or knob depending on the model) on the transaxle that lets you put the drive motor into bypass so you can push/tow it. Its in the owners manual. If you don't have the manual email Ferris and they will email you a copy

Hello Boss, how are you, I have the same mower too...My issue is runs good, but once I engage the mower it runs for about 30 seconds and then chokes of...If I restart without the mower engaged it starts right away and idles nicely, any ideas? By the way thanks for the video!!

My guess is a fuel flow issue. Sounds like she's getting enough to run with no load. As soon as it sees load there's not enough fuel flow to support the power it needs to make. I'd start by pulling the fuel line at the carb and make sure it has a good steady flow. If its just trickling out, replace the fuel line and filter. Could also be junk in the shut off valve or junk in the needle and seat.

Thanks very much, actually I inherited the farm from my Dad who was small engine mechanic.
There seems to be fuel spitting out of the carb. (I think its the carb-in front of motor) there is small port open, like missing a hose, I have to find the schmetic of the motor, in order to fix-like a Chiltons for this one...But thank you kindly for answering so quick, I hope your channel grows with leaps and bounds!!

@@ClaremontClassicGarage Hi Kevin, I just watched the other video, introducing the pro cut 61, yeah my machine is exactly the same. I found a leak in what looks like the carb, maybe and looks like hose is missing, but it runs with the gas spilling out. I think this is related to motor dying when I engage the mower, hard to find info on youtube, I guess they are a little rare..😁

I have the same mower and if it sits for a few days you can start it and reverse but once you let off it won’t go into reverse again. I have tried everything I know to do. Any idea?

Gosh, wish I had an idea. Sounds like an internal issue with the transaxle.

Yeah that’s what I was starting to think. I thought it might have just been low on hydraulic oil but I added some to it and didn’t do anything. Its sat for a few years. Thank you for responding I will look into the transaxle. Your video help me find a starting point on what to check. Thank you very much!

Pedal to the metal. Never lift.
