It’s been a long time in the making, but I’m so excited to finally launch my big fashion trends edit for Spring Summer 2024! I really hope you enjoy the video and more than anything it gives you lots of outfit inspiration and ideas of how to make the fashion trends truly wearable this season. Which trend are you most excited about trying out? It’d be great to hear everyone’s favourites:) As you’ll see I’ll be sharing what the trends are and how to style those looks in your own everyday life, plus lots of outfits from both me and where to shop the looks across the high street right now too. So whether you love going head to toe on trend or like me, just adding a nod to the looks, there should be a little something for everyone:)

I like the pale blue too. I think you can wear pale blue with pretty much anything. If you stick to a chambray shade it's like wearing denim.

I absolutely love the cardigan and white lace trend. I already have pieces to rock for both of these trends in my wardrobe. No need to go shopping.

I’m very much into the ‘90’s style, again 😁… and the metallics are so much fun now in winter to add some shine to the cold grey days, the white Broderie dresses will be definitely my summer uniform . Actually I know I will find a good excuse to explore all these trends 😊 thanks Jess, happy Sunday

I’m currently obsessed with retro/vintage preppy. I’ve been buying vintage Ralph Lauren items. Also into 90’s minimalism. I used to wear stovepipe jeans ( purchased from The Limited) back in the 90’s that I loved. I wore them out. I found a pair of stovepipe jeans at Banana Republic. I love them.
Great ideas. Summer is here in Sth Australia so some of your tips will come in handy. I'm 72yrs and i found a beautiful burgundy red top in New Zealand just recently . It's slightly see through and i just put a bra underneath . It's all pleated so just a hint of skin. Love it.. i just ordered on line some beautiful lace tops which now thanks to you i will enjoy wearing .❤❤🎉

Oh me too hun, how cold has it been! The white lace fashion trend is so pretty isn't it, quite ethereal looking especially at Stella McCartney. I'm on the lookout for more white lace too, I've linked a few in the description but I don't think the majority of stores have got round to that one yet. Another great video, Jess! I’ve watched a number of videos on spring trends and this was, by far, the most enjoyable. Although, I won’t be freeing the nipple or wearing many cutouts or shorts that look like underwear, a lot of the trends seem to continue to lean into a rather refined classic style, which I am totally into. This was a lovely presentation of the 2024 trends. I will stay away from the short-shorts as I just turned 67 on Friday. I am like you in that I will wear a shorter skirt only in the winter with black tights. I love high-rise pants, but I have tried the ultra-high and they hit my ribs in just the wrong place making it so uncomfortable. My favorite look that I intend to wear is the long white skirt similar to the one you modeled (I bought one on sale at the end of last summer). It has an eyelet trim at the bottom. I would so love to have you show us different ways to style that type of skirt as we get nearer to the spring/summer season. Thanks, Jess and have a wonderful week.

My favorite trend on this list is the slip dress! There are just soo many ways to wear it! I’ve literally never stopped loving Carolyne Bessette Kennedy. I think I was 20ish in the city when I first heard of her. I think the imprint her style left on my young brain was pretty big! I also loved the little bit of rose sequins a shirt or a skirt added in with everything else…such a nice glow.

My favorite trend is the Polo shirt/top/sweater. I Googled these for years until they came back. Now that they are, I’ve stocked up. I love it when classics like these become”trendy”.

I really love a cardigan or three and I’m looking forward to wearing my tanks with them for a workwear look. Loving the soft pale pinks, blues and lilacs.
The white dress is always a favourite too. I have one with a lace overlay already which is always my going out one but I’d love to find one suitable for workwear. Oh and I have a lovely red dress, I think I can get away with dressing it up for evening and where sandals with it for daytime. That white dress you have I think from Sezane is one of my favs, you wore it in a clip with your brown belt, beautiful!

Always looking forward to these videos! I definitely won’t do the sparkly clothes during the summer (that Sezane pink skirt will go to the Archives for sure and I will be ready when it arrives lol). I also won’t be doing sheer dresses or big cutouts. However, I like the colour palette for the season and I can get behind wearing high waisted trousers.

Great video Jess. Love the Polo shirt trend. And I always.lobe a great white dress. I don't think you mentioned this, but I'm not really into the new pantone color of peach fuzz. It's never been a color I purchased in fashion choices. But I do love a good soft pale baby pink. So that's probably as close as I'll be to the peach fuss trend. Ty so very much.

Metallics is my favourite trend (and I’ve always loved them). They’re so easy to mix into any outfit; silver suits me best, so I have silver nail polish, a shimmery silver scarf, and silver cowboy boots, that I use as a nod to the trend without looking like a slave to fashion.
I spotted a few great red items in charity shops recently; a Tommy Hilfiger jumper, a trench that has gorgeous white detailing and built in shoulder pads, and a 100% cashmere scarf. Thrifting is the way to go, I’m (finally) discovering!

At the coffee shop this morning, the barista was wearing a really great mix of pale blue and peach. I complemented her at the time as it was a really nice lightness to our somewhat dreary winters here in Canada (mind you, this morning was the epitome of beautiful snow ❄️). I think I might try this trend though I don’t think pale blue looks very good on me, nor does many of the pinks. I have dark brown hair (with a scattering of grey 🙄), green eyes, and fairly pale skin. I will have to find something else that might work into my wardrobe of (generally) neutrals and that will look ok with my “colouring”. Otherwise, tons of other ideas! Big work on this vid! Thanks! ❤
Morning lovely, that combo sounds so pretty, I do love the pale blue fashion trend a lot:) Take a look at today's video funnily enough as I had a play with styling pale blue trousers and came up with a slightly different idea that I actually really like. I added a warm, almost mustard tone which suits my skin as my top so near my face and the blue on my bottom half. It sounds like it would look awful I know but it really works. So if pale blue isnt usually your tone I would think about a combination where you mix with one that is, you'll more than likely happen upon a combination you really like while subtly ticking a trend box at the same time:) Big hugs my lovely

I just got the &OtherStories brown-piped, ecru Polo-collar, long-sleeved knit, it looks amazing with their brown tweed, wide-pleated, short skirt. Their fabrics aren’t good, but I couldn’t resist this outfit, plus I have lots of other separates to wear each piece with.

Hey Jess hope all is well with you. You made me feel cold standing there with your arms out 😂. I'm a new found fan of high waist, as my stomach expands in middle age I find a high waist is needed as it can sit just above that podgy part 🙈. Much easier to tuck things into too. Cardis are in - great, already ticking that box! Have a fab day, we're supposed to be getting a battering later from strong winds so no doubt I'll be chasing my patio table cover all around the garden xx

Yes me too Abby, I'll keep my eyes peeled as more new Spring collections launch and keep updating the blog. I think it's about finding pieces with pretty trims of lace that would be the most wearable rather than head to toe for my everyday life:)

@@FashionStyleEdit thank you for the response, it is truly appreciated that you took the time. i live in a very warm climate with a beach vibe and have always found layering and jackets to be too hot and unnecessary, yet i see how they create an elevated look. maybe that's why i opt for a dresses, a lot.

Welcome to our lovely group Bea:) I think you might have misunderstood about the cardigan, I don’t have my own collection anymore. It’s been years actually, now I’m very happily this side of the fence sharing other people’s beautiful ranges instead. I think the one you’re talking about may be from Sezane? My favourite trend is the high-waisted pants. Also like cherry red as a pop of colour. Not into the white lace dresses - it just looks as though you‘re going to your own wedding.

I find that pale colours have gotten difficult to wear after, I have gone gray. But I am still not into bold colours except for red. So I still stick to black, white, navy, deep brown and red for pop of colour.
