Had one, ocean liner on the highway. Only problem was the northstar engine developed oil leaks. Got rid of it. Found out that once they got a lot mileage this became a problem. Hence the end of the engine. Very underrated for power. It was a beast on the highway. Very smooth and strong daily driver.
Just look at that thang go, and how quit the inside is, and how comfortable he is while doing it, no bumps no movement, just good driving with good view... Go Cadillac, we see you...
I’m sorry I saw this late. I had a 2006 DTS. Purchased in may 2006. Drove it for 182,000 miles. For 6 yrs. Now driving a 2018 BMW 740. I’m happy with the BMW, however if I can get another DTS, I would be very happy.
People can all say what they want, listening to the ones that never actually owned one, going by oh they trash, it has the Northstar, smh they don't know what they talking about, these cars are really good in many categories, only one issue, and that's long as it doesn't blow a head gasket, other than that they ride and perform really well, way better than a lot of vehicles, and the sound of that Northstar is unmatched, even the feel when hitting it, oh it will go, and keep going to, just have good brakes ....

I daily drive a 2011 DTS the car is very smooth and quiet the engine has to be under rated because it’s a freight train on the highway 90 mph is nothing in this car the engine is as smooth as an Sewing machine coming out of a Chrysler 300 C and I have to say this car has a much better highway ride , the Chrysler 300 was to stiffly sprung , The leather is thin and hard and the plastics are cheap

Pre '04 Northstars had issues with oil leaks and head studs pulling out of the block, 2005 and up apparently helped fix these issues. Main thing on these is the transverse layout is a pain in the butt to work on, and the transmission reliability is give or take depending on how you drive. Just drive it like you're driving the president around and you'll be good.
Excuse me, I bought a car of the same style in Toronto, which is beige in color and produced in 2007. Can I ask if this car can be remotely started through the car key?

Thank you!! That was a little bit of tire debris, I saw it on the road ahead and thought it was small enough to fit under the car without hitting, but it did graze the front end. No damage though which was lucky 👍

Column shifter was only available with the bench seat option.
