Hi Cormac, another nice informative video, nice one. For anyone who might be doing some maintenance to their Shimano Stradic reel, I can recommend only using DG18 Shaimano grease on the line roller, use anything else you will end up stripping the lubrication off the bearing and end up with a grating line roller. I know this from personal experience and learnt the hard way having to replace two line bearings. Hope this helps your other viewers.
Good stuff Cormac, salt can destroy everything if gear not looked after. When are we gonna see Underwater clips of you turning the handle of this bad boy? 🤓🤓
As soon as I saw the wd40 my alarm bells started ringing Cormac , as you said fine on a rag , but that stuff is deadly if sprayed it worst evil is running/penetrating down the shaft and into the gear box and dissolving the grease there and any along the way! .
Good stuff, also dont leave your rod outside for over a week with the lure attached, it seemed to weaken the mini link knot and i lost a nice north dublin bass + lure because of it : (
Ah that's a pity Phil, hard enough to get a bass out that way at the best of times. I always give the lure and leader a good tug test before I start fishing 👍🎣
@@bassfishingireland this is what ive learnt todo now! Tbh i did lose him but id ran him up the side of a gully and put too much tension on the line to try land it, snapped and went back with the wash

Thanks for watching and for the feedback Graham 👍
Can we have more videos. Fishing/what lures/ how to use them/what type when.
Sure can, they are on the way, thanks for the suggestions 👍🐟

Thanks Marcin, much appreciated. Yes looking forward to getting some nice action shots as soon as I can get out fishing properly 👍😃
@@bassfishingireland will you be brave enough to go reeling it under water? 😜
@@MarcinKantor Oh yes no problem for sure 👍😃

Yes i agree Lee, don't put it anywhere inside the reel at all 👍

@@PhilInsane Ah I know, its so tempting to horse them in when they are in close especially. Lost a few myself that way 😕
