Is this method approved buy Shimano? and by the way what type of water are you using is it filtered water ?
I don't see any harm in a gentle cleaning with water, but I would suggest distilled water. Shimano website recommends isopropyl alcohol, but I would use that sparingly and only one or twice a year at most.
its a tap water better to wash it with miniral water or pure water

I dont even understad people who want to wash their reels?! Especialy those who post a video on youtube how to do such a thing.. Once in a year open the reel put some grease on the bearings, replace some if needed and thats it..

no, there's a drain hole on the bottom for a reason. Purposefully spraying the drain hole could damage

You just wash it up side down dont you?
Anybody that fishes a lot knows this is impractical. That’s an unused reel that doesn’t even have line on it. Leave it on the rod, tighten the drag, wash it in the shower, let is dry in the shower and loosen the drag. It’s fast, easy and effective.
