What are the Swiss employment laws?

Knowing the employment laws governing a country you want to work in is a crucial step many people ignore. I have made this video to help many of you interested in working in Switzerland understand what they should expect as future employees or better still employers.

I got a equivalence of auxiliarie de santé 2months ago to find the job while i wait for the nursing recognition but until now.. i couldnt get any chance.. to work as a auxiliare de santé.. do you have any tips to get a job..? I think it could be good idea if you can make some video about surviving in switzerland just before becoming a nurse as well :)
Because...i couldnt find any jobs since i came to switzerland.. i dont know if it is very competitive to find a job in Genève compared to other canton of switzerland.. its been 1month since i started to apply for even in other canton near Genève but still i couldnt get any response from medical or job agency in switzerland..:( so these days i wonder.. what if i cant find any job even though i become nurse.. because i feel like i might be homeless in a few months..:(

You are right, Geneva is very competitive since you have the French boarder workers to compete against. That being said, you can try contacting the agencies and see if they can help you with some useful tips. I have colleagues who had to volunteer before finally being employed. Try home based care agencies, old people’s homes… You can contact me on email.

Do the vacations roll over to the next year if you don’t take all? Or is it mandatory to take all of the vacation leave?

No they don’t. You have to take them or get paid if you cannot.
