Got mine earlier in the week. Blows my mind how good it sounds and how it feels to play. Minor tweaking of the truss rod and bridge. Intonation was spot on.
Very nice demo and review, love the ambient playing! Pups are awesome, even the Tri-Tone seems useable as you say, subtle even. The Artcores have appealed to me for awhile and this just proves why. If I was to get a semi hollow it would be one of these over the 335 or 339 style options. I'll have to play one sometimes to get a feel.
Thanks for a great review. The size is told to be more like the Gibson 339. I own an AM93 made of macassar ebony, with the same neck as this. It has unfortunatly no tri-tone switch. But my other guitar, an AR520HFM, has tri-tone switch on both S-58 pickups. That one has a smaller maple body with an F-hole and a thinner neck, but I love both in different ways.
I hope you upgraded the pickups in your AR83. I used to have one that I put Super 58 pickups in , while switching the magnets to Alnico V. Turned it into an incredible guitar.
Hey Joey, very nice video, subscribed :) Can You please make a short video comparing how this guitar sounds not plugged in, with normal room mic with some normal solid body electric like strat etc? I wonder if it sounds good enough to mess around without amp if situation needs it. I had a AG75 and it was usable like that, then i had Epiphone ES-339 and it was not, but it was semi hollow, AMH90 is small but fully hollow, so it seems it could be louder acoustically than semi hollow of the same size.
Hi Joey, just a question, did you work on the volume of the recording during post production for the part where you're switching the positions of the tri sound ? I do own an amh90 but when using split and parallel positions the volume is much lower than the humbucker position. Thanks for your great video.
I received my amh90 the other day, it's an amazing guitar, really! what a beautiful sound! The point is that I have some issue with both tone knobs : at the end of their course, low tone side( on maybe 10% of their course), they produce some cracking sound, not that loud but noticeable, it's surprising on a new guitar. I could put some contact spray on one of them, the more accessible. It's a bit better but it seems to be another cause, it's still cracking. I simply would like to know if it's a normal noise, I know it's made in the east, they may not use the best knobs avallaible. What do you think? Cheers
Thank you for your advice, I did use contact spray but the crackings only partially disappeared. I also tried another copy in a guitar shop and it has the same issue. I finally decided to send it back to the shop and later on and bought a Godin 5th avenue kingpin P90 instead, I'm very happy with that guitar. . @@paulsoulmusik4302

I really loved the AMH90.. and that's saying something as I'm a P90 guy all day long.. something about Ibanez in these Artcores.. so so good.. and this one was just really unique and versatile.. let me know which one you choose :)

You then sync everything to your video playing, which in turn is recorded separately, I assume with no sound on its own. I find this very attractive to do myself, but none of the guitar UA-camrs teaches how to do this. Cheers.
Ah gotcha.. Yea you're correct on the DAW side of things. Logic Pro X for me. The camera is running at the same time as the DAW recording. So then I drag both the video file (which does have audio to it its just not good) and the DAW audio rip into Final Cut Pro (apple's video software) Then it's just a case of moving the video file to where its audio matches the DAW rip. Once lined up you can just delete the bad camera audio, keep the video, and now its got sweet audio to it. My video editing skills are real basic. Which is why I havent planned those kind of lessons. I think the answers youre seeking are more of a "video editor" type channel. I'll see if I can come across a good tutorial and paste the link in this thread for you so you have something to work with. Thanks again
Thanks for the compliments :) Fender Style amps.. some light ODs.. a fuzz face for when I'm feeling antsy.. plenty of delays haha.. and toss some harmonic trem in there every so often ;)
AS73 is heavier (cause it's not fully hollow like amh90) . And the pickups need to be changed for better ones. Also I had to change the tuning keys for grovers. It's a great guitar after these upgrades. But of course there's no mini switch in it for additional tones
I tried both. The 2000 sounded way better (as you might expect from a guitar 4 times more expensive). I didn't like the acoustic sound of the body (linden). They also had a GB10, way better acoustic sound and I finally bought it.

Still have issues? Try to take off the knobs and then use contact spray.
