To clear up confusion, "Super Mario.exe" was a bootleg version of Mario '85 due to it being an official-ish crossover between Mario '85 and an old Super Mario.exe game, better known as "Dario." This version of Super Mario.exe is notorious for being quite bad, but thats why people like it. (It's the one that has the Game Over screen with mutilated Luigi and Bowser and a png of Sonic for some reason.) The creator of Dario is still active and has been making content for him again, while maintaining the stylistic suck which is why the game here looks so bad and ... I'm assuming plays bad too. He's even hosted a charity event just a month ago that I and several spooky Mario creators got to be part of, this "crossover" game was part of it I believe. He's unfortunately stopped making content for him just a few days ago as hes transfered ownership of Dario away, but heres an explanation for that little oddity.

Most of these games are just these old 2012-2015 creepypasta games but with fnf art style and edgy writing. It's actually weird how much fnf art style influenced in these type of games, honestly I can see why people like it, but myself can't see any charm or anything enjoyable in them.
