Thank u for this wonderful video n for also showing your tasting d local food, nasi lemak in KL Pavilion food court. Nasi lemak is one of my all time fav Malaysian comfort food.
Asam laksa is one of Malaysian fav comfort food. Maybe next time u guys try d other laksa like curry laksa, Nyonya laksa, Johor laksa, Sarawak laksa etc.
Mee goreng mamak is a fried noodle with indian muslim influence. A proper mamak mee goreng will give that slice of calamansi or lime, and the top tier will include some friend dough or tofu in the noodles. Luke, you need to try the roadside nasi lemak buffet sold in the morning for breakfast, wrap in brown paper, banana leave or old news paper. That is more authentic.
Hi again guys, if you’re enjoying the more ‘commercialised’ Malaysian foods, wait till you get out to the night markets and hawker food stalls. It is cheaper and more tastier. As for the kueh with the white top, it should have been coconut flavoured with a touch of salt in it. Again, get away from the main city food scene. Thanks again for the video. Sean👍🏼
@@TwoMadExplorers let me add some more Putu Piring / Putu Bamboo Tapai Pulut Masak Lemak Cili Api Ramly Burger Go on and try a real durian (musang king) it is in season now ..u might get a good price Looking forward to of your videos
Nasi Lemak!!!! Wooohooo! No free table: no matter how normal it is especially all over Asia, it still feels awkward as I stand with food on both hands looking around for anyone who might stand up and I quickly slide in beating 5 other hunters.😅
Nasi lemak is coconut rice Luke. You should mix the chilli paste with the anchovies (dried fish) and peanut and eat it with the rice. Glad you enjoyed it
as i would like to advice to any tourist that come to malaysia, buy food from the stall on the side of the road or small restaurant..and you will taste the truly malaysian food..
Thank you for showing this! While food courts may not have the very best version of dishes, it will be delicious enough for my fam bc with 3 kids we want convenience + variety. Will definitely be eating here with them 👌😎
Hi just to let u know the green and white kueh lapis that u ate, the white layer was not made from eggs but however it is actually made from a coconut milk (white layer) and pandan (green layer). Glad that u both enjoy most of Msia food so far ❤❤
Happy to see you guys enjoying Malaysian food. By the way Naomi, the tricolor dessert is made of cassava, not sweet potato 😊 Continue to explore the country and trying the diverse types of food...
If you go to Nyonya Colors again, try the kuih kochi. But frankly, there’s just way too much for you both to explore within 90 days. Befriend a local who loves travelling and knows local dishes well, and you’ll discover Malaysia in a way that’s beyond your expectations! Go to the durian hubs, and taste the quality ones, for first timers, I’d recommend UDANG MERAH (for a sweeter note) and MUSANG KING (which has a slight bitter note). And if you don’t end up being durian fans, at least you’d have tried them lol😊
Sir,maam. Ur comments n views on the food are spot on,especially the heavan part,hahahahaha... FYI,normally cucumber main task on our food are for relax the spicy and the oily or buttery taste in our mouth after every one or two spoon of it.And also used to make our breath smell better after meal. Ahah, one more thing, food courts in big mall are very choosy to select thier vendors,so what u got there in the mall, normally as good as outside streetfood too,and im being serious. Cos,to us Malaysian, food is next to breathing....so very very important...hahahhaa
Another interesting video. Different places different VIBE. Your both food reviews are Amazing, very clear and informative. You both are done well. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from sri lanka❤❤🥰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰
since you started to liking rice dishes, then i would like to suggest you try our local malay dishes called 'nasi dagang' and 'nasi kerabu'..you may get it in a place called Kampung Bharu..take care and enjoy what Malaysia may offer both of you
Haha you should try Malaysian KFC!! It's the best!! And also Mcdonald's Malaysia!! If you have the chance do try the packet nasi lemak, Malaysians eat this for breakfast!
Remember , rice is not a stand alone food, must be eaten together with meats or/and vegetables . Mixed them with the gravy or sambal in one spoon . Eating rice by itself is like eating spaghetti without sauce or gravy . I never see anyone who tastes their pasta alone first then slurping the gravy alone afterwards . Mixed everything on the plate eat it in a single scoop of spoon everytime. Each single item on plate is a complement to each other if eaten together.
Get the Malaysia must- eat Ramly burger. Go for the Double beef cheese special -> Get ready for a mad / food koma session after eating 2 burgers . May the fat, b with y'all,alwiz....
I like nasi dagang more..batter.. Nxt is nasi nasi briyani.. Hahaha...how about local fruits..mangosteen..ramvutan n durian? Your first attempt in trying durian maybe horrible..but once u get uswd to you ll love it..albeit the strong pungent smell..
Your nasi lemak is not very good. Try to go to Park Village to try our their nasi lemak. You will fall in love with their fried chicken. The beef rendang also very good.
We wish you could show the entire scene when you are eating, that includes your dish, the way you pick up the food and the whole view when you are eating, not just your face. There are a lot of edible food around, it's natural that some suit your taste, while some are not at all. No need to be apologetic.
That does not look like authentic nasi lemak to me.....anyway the only way to eat it is to mix three or more of the ingredients in a scoop, not eating each items separately.
ur at the wrong place...yes theses malays food at the mall probably good..but mostly are "fancy malay cuisine". Must try the OGs...they are mostly just small shops / hawkers on the streets...
