- Tyler Bryant & Larkin Poe came by #NormansRareGuitars and played us a tune called "Hey Sinner". Tyler is playing a Danelectro Baby Sitar, Rebecca Lovell is playing our 1948 Martin 0-18 and Megan Lovell is playing our Rickenbacker Lap Steel. What do you guys think of this jam session?
Larkin Poe has such an awesome sound! Tone is amazing!
They are the greatest but whoever is the sound engineer for the concerts they do need to be replaced. The instrument sound is clear but it is almost impossible to hear their voices
Larkin Poe: Megan Lovell (left), Rebecca Lovell (center), and on the right is Rebecca's now husband, Tyler Bryant of Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown. Both bands are absolutely phenomenal!!
Saw Tyler Bryant as part of the AC/DC 2016 tour in Vienna. And Larkin Poe in Mumbai, India on Feb 9th. Then You Tube threw this into my feed,
@@navinadv that's awesome!!
Kelly McAllister I did not know they were married. Weird to see both halves of a married couple in 2 different shows on 2 different continents
@@navinadv Yes, both Tyler and the drummer for TBSD, Caleb, both got married last year! 🖤 That is cool to have gotten to see them both! Even if it was separately on different continents. Lol
I wonder how talented their child would be.
So encouraging to see and hear young people with such talent and playing real music.
"real music" Well aren't you pretentious as fuck.
Amen
Yes REAL music!! Thank you God!
Ok Boomer.
@@jasperholt4968 Guilty as charged. Mr Perez may also be right...
" I went to school long enough to know how to talk to a guitar dealer" Classic....
I love it so much to see Tyler smiling while playing that sitar
At 75 yrs I Love live rock, these young folks are great, LPoe are true stars!
One of the best in store jams seen from Norm's. Wonderful to see young people playing
music with soul and havin' a blast doing it. This video is down, down, down in the swamp
of the blues. And the sitar gives it an even more haunting quality. Ten attaboys!
These girls have Real Talent . Cannot get Enough of them. Love the Variety they are capable of.
This was like a time warp from the late 60's/early 70's. VERY well done! WOW!
God, thank you.... thank you for these young souls in real music.. absolutely incredible
The sitar used for the blues made me instantly think of the song „philby“ by Rory Gallagher. What an amazing combination of people and instruments.
How many favorite guitar players of all time does norm have????
and best buddy's...
and forwards to his book...
grwood15 all of them
How many douche bags have asked the same lame question? Without Norm, you wouldn't be able to enjoy these videos.
14,752 ...and that't just the ones from Nashville...
Larkin Poe is phenomenal. Been following them recently
Caught a video of Larkin Poe playing "Time in a bottle" and led to many other goodies.. Those Girls are Awesome! 👊
Tyler is obviously a true musician and a great guitar player, but I listened to his stuff and Larkin Poe and so far, for ear candy, I prefer Larkin Poe. If he doesn't step up his game, he may find himself opening for them one day lol.
LOL at the girl in the middle trying to play Norm off, like dude just let us play.
Norm does talk a lot. LOL
These women are well-respected musicians, while Norm is... a businessman, wanting to be "cool."
Tyler is bad ass on that sitar!
This is just such a cool music session. Rebecca must have really liked the way Tyler played that sitar; she married him.👍👍👍 They're just cool people playing great music.👍💖🎸😎
Amazing, such a powerful talent , this is the future of Rock N Roll, Rock on Baby , Rock on!🔥
Wonderful trio. Thank you.
Brilliant, big fan of Larkin Poe, wonderful to see such beautiful passion
the best jam I've seen on UA-cam
She is awesome! Thank you! Never Stop!
I thought it was great ! Real talent, ace musicians , the sound of all three instruments blended together very well. Very entertaining.
Hell yes! They rock balls! And the sitar...very cool. Great licks, man!
This is fantastic. Loving the vibes.
So much talent right there, amazing
"How much did you take, Norm, how much did you take?" " Well....., ALL of it ! "
this is Way Awesome , Love Both Bands
Perfect instruments great voices great song
true talent will never be denied.....
Anybody watching this who's intrigued by that sitar sound and vibe, i highly recommend the instrumental funk group 'Khruangbin'. Texas trio who really dive into world music influences especially Korean and Japanese jazz sounds, melded with a solid western blues and funk guitar base. They are something else, and I enjoy them as much as Larkin Poe. Anyway, peace out x
wait wait.. the 70s are back? Greta Van Fleet, The Struts, The Lemon Twigs, Tyler Bryant, Marcus King, Starcrawler, Sunflower Bean, Larkin Poe,etc!! YEEEES
Jared James Nichols, Rival Sons
What goes around comes around. It's the nature of things. But when it comes back around if it is put together in new ways it stands out.
Don't know about Tyler, but the Sisters Lovell are incredibly talented. For a real treat, go back to Megan and Rebecca's early YT videos as part of the Lovell Sisters. Great then, and even better now, I love Megan's harmony and especially her lap steel playing. As for Rebecca...incredible vocal range, and a pretty fair instrumentalist, too. Not necessarily displayed here, but I think she's incredible. And, yes...it doesn't hurt that they're smokin'.
I love these guys, but I'll say it again, they were like the young Beatles when they were a trio. After all these years they haven't reintroduced a fiddle in the bank. Maybe some resentment there, but give it a try. Slide gets old, real old.
Tyler Bryant is a very good guitarist and songwriter too. Just listen to some of their songs, and maybe watch them perform, it's just amazing. Saw him live at their Ramblin Bones tour. Amazing experience
You're right about Rebecca - a powerful, soulful vocalist. Their new record Venom & Faith is a grand slam.
I am utterly disgusted by how disrespectful Mr. Guitar Dealer was. You can see how annoyed Rebecca was, and I don't blame her for starting the song to shut him up. That dude needs a kick in the crotch.
Rebecca is an outstanding mandolin player. Continues to improve on guitar.
OUTSTANDING!!!
Great talented people.
Yes man!
A song for my heart from your heart and soul.
Great talents alone or together. Love the sound of the Dano sitar. Wish my Ravish Sitar pedal could come close

david friesen, hey David how are you doing? I was there in 2005 at the hotel jam with Tyler and Wes. Tommy Katona from Hungary sat in with them. Miss all the great times at the SRV Ride. Still keep up with a lot of the gang.
