I LOVE that they did this 100% together! I wish my hubby had even the willingness to fake an interest in my furniture makeover projects, it would be so fun to do it together. 😒
59 thumbs down? What jerks! This is beautiful and it was beautiful to see you two work so well together! Almost like a ballet duet! Great project and great results!
One suggestion on using what you referred to as silcone. Paint will not stick to 100% silicone caulk. I think what you were using was latex caulk with silicone which can be painted. Viewers may be confused on what caulk to use when painting. Hope this helps.
Awesome job! The dark top adds a nice touch! The paint finish is exceptional! I've done furniture makeovers as well and I've had my eye on doing something like this with a dresser. I'd to make a buffet for my dining room. We'll see! I've subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to see more makeovers! You both worked so well together.
Not gonna lie but when I first seen the dresser I thought "What a piece of junk ". Then I seen them get to work and fix it up and it came out looking great 👍. Damn, I need to start doing more D.I.Y projects!!😉
@naturally gifted lol that’s their uncreative, hating-ass relatives & friends, that had seen it before... but never “really” seen it before. Haters gonna hate! 😂
Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
Beautiful job! Quick question, though: can anyone tell me why they (or you, if the OP sees this) added the plywood/MDF pieces to the interior sides? From the video, it looks like there were already solid sides there, unless I'm not seeing it correctly. I ask because I am planning a very similar project and I want to be sure I'm not ignoring anything important. Thanks in advance!
I have this same drawer my grandma was going to throw away. I took it and your video inspiered me to give it a new look. I am leaving the top two drawers though. I already removed the two buttom ones to leave them as one big openings just like yours; what were the measurements on the plywood on those?
Haha. I can't remember really what grit the sandpaper was, probably around 80 grit and yes the caulk was just to fill in the seams. Makes it look more finished.
We didn't like the color or look of the wood. It didn't match our living room. It wasn't in very good condition, scratches, dents and even a big chunk of wood missing. Also we wanted it white.
Yeah that's a great job, but there's no way l cld do this! I'm a single woman, that doesn't have the time, tools or knowledge! But good video thanks for sharing... :)
I sanded the top with a belt sander with 120 grit sandpaper then we finished it with 220 to smooth it out. The bottom we sanded with 220 just so scuff up the surface and remove small dents, dings and scratches. Hope this helps 🙂
Please don’t ever use a belt sander to sand furniture your refinishing again. That’s got be the worst choice ever. No matter how careful you think you are it’s to easy to screw it up and a cheap orbital sander works so much better.
I LOVE that they did this 100% together! I wish my hubby had even the willingness to fake an interest in my furniture makeover projects, it would be so fun to do it together. 😒
I totally understand, since I have gone with him to Yanni concerts and that was PAINFUL 😥
No way with my hubby. He takes instructions badly. He does not appreciate when you tell him how to do something even if he doesn't know how to do it.
LOVE the Transformation, Great Job,! Love the Black and White, looks Amazing.
59 thumbs down? What jerks! This is beautiful and it was beautiful to see you two work so well together! Almost like a ballet duet! Great project and great results!
GREAT job! I found 2 dresser similar to that after a moving sale free .I turn one into a fireplace unit, and the other one intona craft table/ desk.
Fireplace unit? You're brave, I bet it is cool. 😀 BrandyF from West Texas.
That is absolutely beautiful. That comes of a lot of hard work and knowing what you are doing in the first place.

Gave you 👍because you did a great job on the furniture but I couldn't do it. Thanks for sharing.
Really nice job on that. I have one just like it. Trying to figure out what I want to do with it.
Not gonna lie but when I first seen the dresser I thought "What a piece of junk ". Then I seen them get to work and fix it up and it came out looking great 👍. Damn, I need to start doing more D.I.Y projects!!😉
Love it... Great Job 👍
The two dislikes were from the couple that sold this gorgeous TV stand. Ha! 😂👍
Ikr lol

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!😊❤
VERY NICE PROJECT
Keep it up man!
Wow I love that
Wowww...gorgeous 👍💪👏👏
AWESOME JOB LOVES
Very beautiful! Would've been much easier with chalk paint, could've saved half the time.
We thought about that but we have a ton of free paint left from the previous home owners. We want to use what we have when we can. 🙂
773to859 the finish is not the same 🤷🏽♀️ I like more this one
Fuck chalk paint that shits for soccer mons to screw up perfectly good furniture. That has to be the worst paint for furniture.
Amazing
Nice job. Wish there were step-by-step instructions with what you used exactly.
Great job! This piece looks beautiful. What color paint did you use?
Just plain white 🙂
Great job so beautiful hi from Massachusetts ❤️ it👍💯👍
Exelente 👏👏👏👏

Beautiful
Now if you'd used the drawers and the pieces you removed and made a coffee table too that would've been impressive
What tool did you go buy at Walmart? What did you use it for? Sorry, I didn't get it. Amazing team work, congratulations! Great job guys! love it!
It's a Hyper Tough 2.1 amp oscillating multifunction tool. I used it to cut out the drawer supports. It's like a saw that can get into tight spaces.
WOW
Wow! Nice
I love 💕 ❤️it excellent job
Awesome job, love seeing before and after! Can you tell me what you used to put the piece on when you guys were painting ?
Thank you. They are bed risers.
Thanks !

It just looked better. It gave it a more "finished" look and less like a cheap diy project.

I'm sorry, that was so long ago I don't remember the measurements. Good luck with the project! 👍
Me gustaba más el mueble original!!
What was the purpose for the calk? Was it purely aesthetic? Love the transformation.
Never mind, rewatched the video and question was answered lol.
Haha. I can't remember really what grit the sandpaper was, probably around 80 grit and yes the caulk was just to fill in the seams. Makes it look more finished.
I dunno why you don't have a 65 inch TV on top instead of that small TV.
That's all we had at the time. Now we do have a 65 inch TV.
Awesome....I was wondering if you are using a primer why are you sanding it first.
We wanted to be extra sure to get a good finish on it. It was a lot of work and we didn't want to mess the paint up. It can't hurt to do extra. 😁
What grit did you use to sand the caulk?
What kind of saw did you use to cut the boards you lined your shelves with?
Just a Ryobi circular saw
What's the red thing he was holding in the beginning? Smth from Walmart... a mini saw?
It's a multi tool. It can saw and sand. Helps get into tight spaces. I have a link in the description of you'd like to check it out.
Love to repurpose!
Look's good. What spray gun did you use?
Krause and Becker. $20 from Harbor Freight.
@@TheInexperiencedAdventures Awesome. Thank you!
I am curious as to why you would paint over that wood?
We didn't like the color or look of the wood. It didn't match our living room. It wasn't in very good condition, scratches, dents and even a big chunk of wood missing. Also we wanted it white.
What type/brand of wood stripper did you use? I have the same piece and want to refinish it in a similar fashion.
I can't remember what brand we used on this but now all we use is Citristrip.
Nicely done but commentary would have been better than music
I figured the writing during the video was enough. I didn't think commentary was necessary.
@@TheInexperiencedAdventures some of us can't read fast enough.😁😁
👍👍👍
Yeah that's a great job, but there's no way l cld do this! I'm a single woman, that doesn't have the time, tools or knowledge! But good video thanks for sharing... :)
I would have put something down to protect the carpet. Very nice finish though.
Haha. We didn't care because we knew the carpet was getting pulled. We put vinyl flooring throughout our house. No more old carpet. 👍😀
Wow
🤗🌷
Nice
What is the name of the tool that you used to get the insides out of the dresser? (Walmart trip)
It's an oscillating multi tool. I put a link in the description if you'd like to check it out.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
can you give details about the sanding please?
I sanded the top with a belt sander with 120 grit sandpaper then we finished it with 220 to smooth it out. The bottom we sanded with 220 just so scuff up the surface and remove small dents, dings and scratches. Hope this helps 🙂

A belt sander definitely can do some damage but it is much faster than an orbital sander.
Preferred the dresser...
Really
Good thing it wasn’t yours
What was the tool you bought at Walmart?
It is a Hyper Tough 2.1 amp oscillating multifunction tool. That's what they call it on the Wal-Mart website.
needs audio
It has audio.
