- A new COVID-19 variant, "EG.5," is sparking an uptick in COVID-19 cases across the U.S. New York is reporting a 55% increase in COVID-19 cases from two weeks ago and there's a 12% increase in hospitalizations nationwide. Millions of Americans have been packing stadiums and movie theaters for this summer's big entertainment events, making it the perfect environment for COVID-19 to spread. Inside Edition's Les Trent has more.

I tested positive for covid over a dozen times and I never once felt sick other than the time I ate at a sketchy Chinese restaurant thus catching food poisoning and I'm in my 40's and smoke cigarettes daily. It was nice having all the paid time off though, got to go camping a few times, did some day-drinking on weekdays in my pajamas, got through a couple video games I wanted to beat, went to the gym a few times, hit up the swimming pool, and I even got Thanksgiving off because I tested positive which was AWESOME! I got to hang out with my son a lot more too because I got paid to stay home which was nice because I normally worked 40-60 hours a week so we had a lot of time to go to the park and play basketball together.
I'm sure Covid is around but I haven't seen it yet despite supposedly having it like 15 or-so times.
@@Travybear1989 Yeah everyone's response is different depending on alot of factors. For some it was asymptomatic like you, for others it was severe illness like me, and for millions of others it was fatal.
@@leroy44 It was 1% illness, 99% politics. There were agendas that needed to be passed and covid was the perfect excuse for it. Why was mail voting the "very first" response to this "global pandemic" again? You think it would be like the 20th response or something.

My best friend has COVID right now and unfortunately she's still healing from cancer. This is not an easy run for her at all, she's already had to go to the hospital once but thankfully this time it's not affecting breathing it's just hitting a lot of other markers.

@@prettyboyboo6901 she is actually been the most diligent of anybody I know to still wear her mask but I have a feeling whenever her sister came over after attending school conferences, who by the way is also COVID positive at this moment too, that she most likely was not wearing a mask at that time. It's a messed up situation I'm just really hoping that she pulls through this okay because she's really not doing well.

Ughhh i just caught it again my 2nd time. I avoided it for 3 years as a healthcare worker. First time i caught it was January. This time wasn’t as bad as the first time. My dizziness and slightly elevated blood pressure lasted for 3 weeks. This time i knew something was wrong. I could hear my heart beating in my ears.

my sister had been tested positive for COVID-19, back in 2022 or sometime in 2021, and I couldn't believe it. but thankfully, she's okay.
I’ve contracted Covid twice. April 2022 and this past March 2023. I’m vaccinated and boosted. Think if I hadn’t been so I’d probably have ended up in Hospital the first time. I had the worst cough I’ve ever had in my life and it lasted about 6-7 weeks. Was nerve wracking but thankfully it cleared up eventually. This last bout wasn’t fun but wasn’t as bad a the first time. Still not something I’d want to catch again.
