"Jasper and his wee Christmas jumper..." I love it! Our cat, Quadraplex, would never wear a sweater! On Christmas Eve we always have pancakes and sausage and scrambled eggs when we get home from church...
About your accent, I was at a Christmas party recently and food was discussed - and I, of course, sang your praises. :) I told them that your voice is like a warm hug on a cold winter's day. ❤️ In regards to the Isle of Arran, might y'all open a Bed & Breakfast, or have holiday lets? As I'm just in the beginning of planning out my UK trip, I'm seriously leaning toward a cooking tour. Thank you for all of your hard work and sharing all the wonderful meals and parts of your life with us!
I absolutely love your videos! My Grams was born & raised in Scotland, and I was raised with her in Los Angeles. Her stories about family, Scotland, and food was one of the best parts of my growing up. Your recipes sometimes remind me of her's, and love your pics & stories! It's been 14 years since she passed, and your videos make me feel like she's still here, but she's always here in my heart. Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes, and bringing me back to my first 30 years on Earth when she was living down the street from my parents.
Totally fascinating, those huge Yorkshire pudding!! Your slow cooker beef stew was a real hit! Ty,Have a happy new year, love ,health and much happiness to you all.
Hello from Georgia, USA That beef stew 😍😍 those Brussels sprouts are so bright green and beautiful. All of your food looked amazing. Thanks for sharing with us.
I really like your videos. I don't cook anymore because I'm disabled but I enjoy watching other people cook lots of nice things greetings from the USA🇺🇸🙏
While peas are one of my favorite vegetables I think I will have to go with "Mr. What's for tea" regarding the fish and chips and baked beans. That is how I do it and it makes for a great taste combination.
Another great video. The giant Yorkshire reminds me of the huge tortilla shells they fry and make your taco salad in. Lettuce, beans and taco flavored ground beef....with grated cheese and chopped tomatoes and some guacamole on top. Always fun to consume the bowl 😀
Ooh Food looks amazing as always Cheryl, and can we just appreciate how well you've wrapped your presents, so professional.. I'd love to go to the Isle of Aaron, maybe next year. I'm always on the lookie outie for where I can retire to.. I'm 50 so seems a good time to start.. Thank you my dear x
The steak pie looked really yummy! The Yorkshire pudding looks amazing! That is a great suggestion to shop from your own pantry before going to the supermarket!
I am a great fan of brussel sprouts , secret is to boil for five minutes only and do not use a lid , that way they stay bright green and taste wonderful !! Luv your vids Cheryl

@@louisewhite9152 aww Louise, it's horrible spending Christmas Day on your own, I'm so glad you're with your mum and dad now!!🤗, always the best option!! People take good health for granted but should realise how lucky they actually are! I hope it wasn't too lonely for you, hopefully your family phoned loads throughout the day? You'll really enjoy these videos, Cheryl goes one step further and shows lovely views of where she lives (amazing) or where she visits!! Lovely to talk to you, big Christmas Hug to you!!🤗xx
Everything looks so scrumptious! Love your tree ornaments and little Jasper! I got my kitties blankets but only one likes it. They prefer my blankets. Wish you and happy New Year! 🎆🎉💖
Hello from Denver Colorado! I’m so happy I found your channel! I’ve been reading a lot of Jenny Colgan books, and visiting Scotland is a huge dream of ours. I can’t wait to try your recipes! 😊
Very nice meals of the week Cheryl !! 🤤👍your Christmas dinner which was the roast chicken and with the sprouts of course !!🤤was nearly identical to ours except we had the potato croquettes instead of the cauliflower cheese and we had trifle too👍 !! Like the look of the big Yorkshire pudding filled with all the goodies in it, another one on my hit list!!!, 🤤👍like Jasper's hoodie 😁👍for a moment there I thought he was playing with his turn tables playing his music!! 😎😼🎧💿🔊
Hi, I’m from the western USA. Could you tell me what “swede” is? I googled it, and it was defined as a turnip or a rutabaga. I love Scotland, beautiful country and nice people!
New to your channel, so watching some older videos. Intrigued by your meal preps - so different from Australia. Our climate is sub tropical and we are in south east Asia so we eat salads, bbq meats, Asian stir fries, pizza and Mexican is very popular here. Love your accent and sweet disposition. Love to jasper from my cat. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Cheryl, I made your mince and tatties, and I must say it was awesome! It will become a frequent dinner. I absolutely love your videos. Now I need to try the Giant Yorkshire Pudding!
I can do very little cooking these days but I love watching your vlogs and my slow cooker is very useful. I had a beef stew made in it for my Christmas Dinner. I did make a trifle to take to my niece's house on Boxing Day, it even survived the 10 mile journey :-) I follow my Mum's recipe and is very like yours, I just omit the almonds.
New subscriber here!! Currently watching this on Hogmanay, love your channel so far. Watching your videos for some inspiration for the New Year😀. All the best for 2020 from Aberdeen🏴

Lovely meals loved watching your vlogs all in the past year christmas dinner looked amazing. Every year I always get some arran soap for my Scottish friend living nearby where I live in Wales. Wishing you and your family a very happy new year xx
Wishing you all the best for 2029. Thank you for the ideas you have shared I love food and am always looking for inspiration. I have watched alot on you tube recently due to being in hospital and it really helps. You always come across pleasant and kind and that makes a refreshing change ha ha. Much love from me to you.
Lovely video and food as usual Cheryl. I’ve got the gourmet chips and medallions on my list for Tesco next week, thanks for the suggestions. I’ve got a friend in Canada and their food prices are astronomical! They pay the equivalent of over £2 for a cauliflower 😱 Happy Hogmanay and look forward to continuing to view you in 2020 x
Thanks, Cheryl, for commenting on my comment! That is so awesome! BTW, our grocery budget is 3 meals per day for 4 people for 7 days...so that works out to $25/day for 4 people...it doesn't seem so much that way...LOL...your channel is my very favorite UA-cam channel...have a great day! 😻

I need to make some Yorkshire pudding. I haven't made it in years. It's not something that you think of making just for yourself. My grandmother always made it for Christmas dinner.
Such a tasty looking week! I'm from Canada so I was surprised to see our McCain potatoes in your video. I'll have to try those if you recommend them. I want to look at your giant Yorkshire pudding recipe. That looks wonderful!

The stir fry vegetables will freeze fine. Just don't thaw them before using them. Add them frozen and you'll be good to go. 😘

Crystal S you are kidding? It's paxo. Open packet. Add boiling water. Roll into a ball. Bake.
Spencer Wilton we have one called stove top here in Canada but it doesn’t look like this one.
Hi Crystal :) This is a ready made one...you just add water! Really easy and one less thing to do on Christmas Day! Thanks for watching

Omg...everything looks delicious...is there anyway that you could please share your recipe for the cheesy cauliflower dish? It looks amazing!
