    This week I had a goal to create 2 highly sellable, low-cost CNC products that have the potential for huge profits. I designed these projects in Vectric Aspire and I think these products are going to sell well. This is the first video in a 2 part mini-series about these projects. In this video, I’ll show exactly how I made the projects and in part 2 we’ll take a look at how to go about selling these two projects for potentially huge profits.
    Big thank you to Vectric for sponsoring this video! www.vectric.com/

    Hi Andy
    I'm considering investing in a cnc. But Idk if there could be a market where I live. Have any idea where and how I could find clients? I'd prefer wholesale tbh..

    Thank you for the files! I am new to CNC woodworking and I am trying to change the bit I want to use on the toolpaths for the pockets but the file will not let me select one from my database. Any advice? I have a 1" bowl bit (.375 tip). Thank you

    How did you prevent the box from cupping? Whenever I do huge pockets like that, the piece cups super hard

    • @AndyBirdBuilds
      @AndyBirdBuilds  Рік тому

      Its important to start with wood that has been properly dried to 6 to 8 percent moisture content. Its also important to keep the wall thicknesses above .375 inches. I don't like to go much lower than that.

    • @simplemusicvideos
      @simplemusicvideos Рік тому

      @@AndyBirdBuilds Material is dry, lots of thickness left. From my research, its "just" the stresses in the wood being changed/released after pocketing. >5years experience doing this and it doesn't matter what I try to do... doing big pockets like that cup like hell. Is the piece still flat now & the lid sits right after its been some time?

    I'm still waiting to get my first cvc machine. Never used one before. My question is, so do you change out the different bits during a single project? Example, one bit for the text, pause the machine, put in a larger bit for the bigger carvings, resume the machine, etc?

    • @AndyBirdBuilds
      @AndyBirdBuilds  Рік тому +1

      Awesome! You are correct. Let me know if you have any other questions

    • @renspecs
      @renspecs Рік тому

      @@AndyBirdBuilds Thank you! I do have one more question-
      How does the software know that it's just doing the text? Is that something you tell it when you're ready to begin? Then you pause the machine, then tell it to do the next thing?

    • @AndyBirdBuilds
      @AndyBirdBuilds  Рік тому +1

      @@renspecs No problem. In the software you set up different toolpaths. This tells the machine where to go.

    Great video, thanks for sharing Andy. I was curious if you could do an up-to-date video comparing VCarve Pro vs Fusion 360 from your perspective and why you chose VCarve, other than "it's easier to use". I'm getting more into Fusion 360, and see how it is great for making plans for furniture and the like, but also for making plan files to sell. But if VCarve Pro is one of those "I wish I would have started with that first" kind of things I, and I'm sure others, would love to know. Also, out of all the software packages that Vetric offers, which one would be best? I don't want a bunch of limitations and what the ability to upgrade. It looks like Vetric is sponsering you, so I admit a small grain of skepticism. I'm new to CNC, so don't think I have some agenda. Thanks!

      Glad you liked the video! I think you're on to something here. I'll put this on my video idea list. Thanks! My mission is simple - I want to help people get into CNC and make money with it, just like I have. I can understand your initial skepticism but I work really hard to only partner with companies that align with my brand for this exact reason.

    Hi Andy, can i ask have you ever had issues with wood warping, cuping, movement etc on these solid wood cnc projects?

    • @AndyBirdBuilds
      @AndyBirdBuilds  Рік тому +1

      Yes I have. The keys are to start with dry wood, under 8% moisture content and to leave at least 3/8th on an inch on the bottom. The thinner you make the more likely it is to warp
