Thanks Erik for reviewing a Glenturret whisky. Hopefully, people will stay away from the distillery. I will pour a dram tonight. Cheers from a scotch-mate in Germany
Great review Erik, I managed to get 2 bottles of the 12 and 10 from the 2020 release. Very impressed by both. It was watching Roy’s review a few years back that put me onto Glenturret . It was a good move to buy them. Cheers
Wow high praise coming from you Erik! I love the 10 peat smoke and I had some bangers from SMWS but all peated. I need to try this it seem. I'm heading over to Scotland in March and will be visiting Glenturret alongside Deanston. Even more excited now, cheers 🥃
I hope you enjoy your trip. I'll be making my 4th trip to Scotland in April 2024 for the Master of Scotch exam and will be visiting distilleries in the Hebrides islands.
Thanks Erik, it'll be my third trip this time and I try to visit a couple of distilleries when I'm there. Campbelltown and Islay are the dreams of course :) Good luck on your exam and enjoy your trip 🥃@@ErikWaitWhiskyStudies
I really enjoy my bottling I have, it's also the 2021 12yr. A lot of flavor packed in to the bottle. Every sip seems to be different on every pour. Really well done.
Rarely does a review totally capture my experience with a whisky. I opened my 2022 12 yo about a month ago and was totally confused by how different and complex it was. Loved it. Had my third dram out of the bottle watching your video, and had a bit of the same problem you had with watching Daniel while enjoying Glenturret. It is a special dram and that doesn't happen every day.
I haven't opened my 12 yet but the 10 peat smoke is something special. Highland peat really should put Islay on their heals. If I'm choosing a bottle to pour there's no lesser quality either way. I did have the thought that a Glen Turret blended single malt would be awesome. Just not sure whether to go heavy on the 10 or the 12
I prefer the 12 over the 15. It is priced high but does drink more like a 15 year old. Awesome whisky. PS- Wuster sauce is how it sounds. 😂 we just ignore some letters
Wow 95 points! Curious, and maybe this is an idea for a video, how do you score? I enjoy scoring them and nerding out on scoring them 2 different ways. Curiosity Public has a system has a system slightly more scientific way than just personal opinion/enjoyment score. It’s also fun to go back to pours/scores I’ve had earlier in my journey and comparing my scores to my current palate and preferences.
I have mentioned my Scoring systems in other videos. It is based on Robert Parker, wine critic and founder of The Wine Advocate, who created the 100 point system. It was then picked up by The Wine Spectator, The Wine Enthusiast and eventually made its way over into the whisky world.
Hey Erik. & to all Americans ! 😂 you pronounce “Worcester” sauce like this. “Wuster” & in addition it’s pronounced “Sheer” not “shire” So. wustersheer sauce. The end 😂😂🇬🇧. Have 2 of that 12yr in my bunker. Great pour.

As long as the flippers stay away from it I'll be happy.
Erik, you’re spot on. I found Glenturret a couple years ago and I have bought many IB’s of it since then, I was as impressed as you are. Cheers
I agree Erik. I have the 12 yo 2022 release & it certainly grabs your attention. It's a magnificent dram & right up there as a favourite.
The 2022 release is also stellar!

Totally agree! This whisky develops a lot not only form the neck pour but within the glass!

Hope you like it!

Ok, availability in my market is not an issue.
So, ... f**k the price, I'll order one in January.
Thx for finally pushing me over the Turret-Line!
So since they just got the new equipment in the distillery last year the end product will probably change. Right?
I've been wondering about that!
The bottle looks great. Whiskey looks really dark like bourbon. Haven't tried any glenturet. Maybe I will be lucky in the future
Great one! Did you try other years or just the one from 2021? What did you think?
I've just had the 2 bottles mentioned in this video.

So, it is pronounced "wrstrshrshase?"
No. But close enough 😂
It's quite hard to say, but according to my daughter in England...it's "Worschter sauce"🙃
Happy New Year ! 🥃
You should have told us it's the worst whisky you ever tried 😚
Worster- (as in worse than worst) Shire.
In thought about it... but my viewers know when I am b.s.ing
