Larry Semon was a popular comic in the silent era, to the point of starring in MGM's 1925 "The Wizard of Oz" with Oliver Hardy. But he lost out to sound, like so many others.

@@rimshot2952 thats true ! I was just " introduced" to him by an Italian friend who said he was very famous in Italy and all over Europe and. As a big fan of silent movies I thought I know them all ! He sure was funny wasnt he ?
