When I converted from Protestantism, I felt honored and privileged to touch the Body of Jesus in Holy Communion. Since the COVID lockdowns, I’ve discovered that only priests are supposed to touch the body of Our Lord with consecrated hands. Furthermore, since even the smallest crumb of Blessed Eucharist is the body, blood, soil and divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, it’s sacrilegious to drop pieces and crumbs on the carpet and then step on them. Yet, with Communion in the Hand now being the norm, the only choices we have are to touch the body of Jesus with unworthy hands and risk stepping on him upon our exit, or abstain from Communion. We have chosen the latter since the former is now unthinkable. We also pray for a Eucharist that we can take with clean hearts.

The most fruitful act of Adoration of the EUCHARIST is a miracle indeed as the Lord humbles Himself to be in a face to face dialogue with men who He died for .I thank and praise God for having EUCHARISTIC ADORATION IN EVERY CATHOLIC COMMUNITY(sadly there are Catholic Churches without EUCHARISTIC ADORATION CHAPEL) , which Pope Paul 2 had decreed few years before his death. Amen. HE is always there at the Holy Eucharist. HE has proven this to me because HE showed HIS face to me when HE gave me a message for my country. And lots of manifestation that HE showed me when I took pictures of HIM in our Adoration Room. My Lord my God forever.
I have had friends who have seen images in the Eucharist. One such image being an eye with a tear, crying 4 us. I absolutely believe in the living presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. This is one of the factors which made me leave Protestantism--what good is a church without JESUS?? words on a page (solascriptura) cannot substitute 4 Jesus in person

Has anyone read Matthew Kelly's book? Beautiful Eucharist. Well I have a copy of the book and yesterday when I was on my break, I read the book and the book itself was very inspirational and insightful and helpful. And it encouraged me of what I should do when I receive Holy Communion and what I should do during Eucharistic adoration. If anyone hasn't read the book yet, I highly recommend it.

As I was returning to my seats after receiving communion from the hands of the Priest, I noticed the Eucharist became flesh in my mouth, and it had a heart beat. it took about 5minutes tops. while I was walking and begun noticing this I ask The Lord like Anne a Lay Apostle did in 1985 "Lord are you there yet?" but I did not hear any audible voice. so I just continue to adore the Lord and thank Him for His gift. and I remain in the Church for awhile hoping to hear an audible voice of Jesus. nothing. I did not dream either. but Yesterday at 3 o'clock Divine Mercy I felt a very strong presence that I became deaf, as if I am inside a plane. I stop my prayer and listened, I sense someone holding my both shoulder heavy hand. I got scared a little but I could not hear anything. then as if it whisphet in my right ear but I cannot make any word at all it just too much to take. it like a big slap of air whammm whammm! I continue praying about the leaders of the world. and I feel at peace. I remember the message of our Lady that when we are praying we are protected. so I was not worried if it was the enemy bothering me. I need to practice holy listening... I had many vision of the Lord Jesus but only in dreams and Mother Mary, Baby Jesus and St Joseph and Padre Pio... mostly when they come it is a teaching of this and that and prayers ...

*Please pray for our archbishops and priests.* Many of them now preach that the body and blood _isn't truly_ in the bread and wine _(or that there is no real transubstantiation):_ at least not in the way the Catholic Church always taught it. They became intellectuals. Some trying to re-explain what is already known in different ways, others simply repeating what the formers said. It is sickening and they need our prayers, otherwise they will be condemned.

I miss the priest raising the host to Jesus towering above the altar. That's how it was and how it should be. Not being raised to us sinners. What was the reasoning behind that?
As I reflect on John 6, the disciples who walked away from Jesus Christ hadn’t witnessed Jesus lay His life down at Calvary. Jesus’ Word(eat My Flesh and drink My Blood) wasn’t clear as to all disciples. So I could understand a lack faith by disciples of that day. However, the present day, there is no excuse or pass to Lutherans or Protestants. Jesus sacrificed His life and the Eucharist is His body and blood.
Question: I notice that in all of the pictures of the priest holding the Eucharist, the altar servers are lifting up the edges of his cape? What is that all about?
I offer a gentle correction. Please forgive me if I come off harshly, it isn't my intent. The garment is called a chasuble, rather than a cape. The altar boys raise the chasuble so as to assist the priest in raising his arms and the Holy Eucharist in the elevation, immediately following the consecration. Historically, priests wore more garments during the Mass than they do now, and it was much more difficult to raise their arms for the elevation. As such, now, it's more of a symbolic act than it was in the past. God bless you. 😊
I hope to be corrected if I’m wrong, but hasn’t Catholicism made changes to doctrine ? For example, "extra Ecclesiam nulla salus" or "There is no salvation outside the Church." .. For much of Catholic history, this meant that followers of non-Catholic religions including the Eastern Orthodox and Protestants could not be saved. But now it’s possible? Someone please help me understand. I’m struggling with my faith .. and wouldn’t it be true to say that orthodox Christianity has actually remained more traditional, or unchanged?

Addendum: no one is saying those outside the church 'cannot' be saved, rather, it is highly unlikely if they do not have access to the life-saving Sacraments. I am 'inside' & it is a certainty that I would not have been saved (as I would have lost my salvation) due to my human frailty, without the life-saving Sacraments, especially the Sacrament of Reconciliation. When you read NT Scripture, is there any indication from the authors that there is salvation outside the Church Jesus established? Scripture says if someone preaches a Gospel different than the one that the Apostles taught, they are accursed.
When Jesus said these things in John 6:53-57, "53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed,[d] and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me." He was not meaning physical food. Take note to the very next verse in John 6:58, "58 This is the bread which came down from heaven-not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.” He is the "bread" that came down from heaven! This is all spiritual that he speaks of and its all through the bible. Jesus also warns you not to eat the manna! Look up the definition of manna if you don't believe me. Manna definition- "(in Christian contexts) spiritual nourishment, especially the Eucharist." If you notice in the definition, It is man who created that definition thus labeling a physical object, "Eucharist" as spiritual. This is not in the bible. Remember what he said, "Not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead." Jesus goes on in John explaining what he meant about John 6:54 because even his disciples didn't understand what he was saying. John 6:60 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?” Here he explains what they do not understand, John 6:63" It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." This also gives us understanding of how God leads us to worship him in Spirit and Truth. John tells this before this event in: John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Question everything people! Even I who brings you the truth through God's Holy Spirit will tell you to question me because God tells us to question everything. Dont let anyone lead you away from God. Holy Eucharist Defense 1. "Pascal lamb" In Exodus 12:3-14 GOD "forever" commands the PASSOVER liturgically as a means of worship, which REQUIRED the "lamb" to be consumed for "Death to Passover". Jesus, the "Lamb of GOD" (John 1:29, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:19) transformed this "forever" GOD commanded PASSOVER during the "Last Supper" in every synoptic Gospel account into the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19). Additionally, in CONTEXT of the PASSOVER (John 6:4) Jesus Christ's "Bread of LIFE" discourse REQUIRES us to "abide" in His BODY and BLOOD for "Death to Passover" (John 6:54-58). ***Jesus states the consequences of not partaking of Him in John **6:53** Protestants.*** Now, everyone was disbelieving Jesus's "hard" teaching about the Holy Eucharist in John 6:60. So, how would you respond to people disbelieving you that is if you were in Jesus's shoes??? Wouldn't you want to provide some "proof" or "evidence" you mean what you say??? How does Jesus Christ respond to disbelievers and what "proof" will He provide per John 6:62??? 2. "Heavenly Manna" GOD provided "Spiritual Food and Drink" (1 Corinthians 10:1-4) to His old covenant people, so wouldn't Jesus Christ provide something for His NEW COVENANT people??? Jesus Christ compares Himself to the old covenant "Heavenly Manna" in John 6:31-35. Jesus teaches the "Heavenly Manna" that came down "daily" will now be Him (John 6:51-58). In the "Our Father" prayer Jesus Christ is stating "give us THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD" referring to Himself. Obviously, no normal bread bread being spoken of here, but the "Bread of LIFE" Jesus repeats about Himself three times in John 6 (6:35,48,51) Acts 2:46. The Catholic Church has been "breaking bread (of LIFE) daily" of the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) before the Book of Acts was even written in the mid 60's AD, all along since Jesus Christ's death in 33AD, and to this very day fulfilling Malachi 1:11 prophecy all across the world "daily"!!! 3. "Bread of the PRESENCE" Along with the Passover, GOD "forever" liturgically commands the "Bread of the PRESENCE" to be part of His proper worship in Leviticus 24:5-9. In the old Jewish Temple, the old "Heaven and Earth" of worship, a veil seperated two main rooms. In the outer room housed the "Bread of the PRESENCE" and it was separated by the veil from the inner room called the HOLY of Holies - where Jews believed God's "real presence" remained. So, when Jesus Christ died the veil was torn (Matthew 27:51, Mark 15:38, Luke 23:45) separating the Holy of Holies and the "Bread of the PRESENCE" and no longer was there any barrier (liturgically speaking) between GOD'S presence and the "Bread of the PRESENCE". So, if the veil was "torn" allowing GOD'S presence in the Holy of Holies to flow to the "BREAD of the PRESENCE" in the outer room of worship, then what does the Holy Eucharist "Bread of the PRESENCE" truly become in the fulfilled NEW COVENANT FORM??? 4. "ONE BREAD ONE BODY" 1 Corinthians 10:16-17. If the "many" become "ONE BODY" through "participation in" the ONE SACRIFICE of the "Lamb of GOD" Jesus Christ in the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER, then how can the Holy Eucharist possibly be a mere symbol??? Truly, we can ONLY become ONE BODY (1 Corinthians 10:16-17, Ephesians 5:29-32), ONE FLOCK (John 10:16), ONE TEMPLE (1 Corinthians 3:17), ONE CHURCH (Ephesians 4:4-6), ONE BRIDE (2 Corinthians 11:2) through the "ONE" Jesus Christ (John 6:54-58) the "Lamb of God" (John 1:29, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:19) in the "Marriage Supper of the Lamb" (Revelation 19:9) NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) 5. "EAT AND DRINK JUDGMENT UPON OURSELVES" 1 Corinthians 11:27-29. If "partaking unworthily" is "eating and drinking JUDGMENT upon ourselves", then how in the world rationally and logically can the Holy Eucharist merely and simply be a symbol as Protestants purport??? 6. Partaking of "Divinity" (2 Peter 1:4) to become a true Son or Daughter of GOD. In the Garden of Eden man was created in the "image" and "likeness" of GOD. Through Adam and Eve's disobedience it caused us to lose our "likeness" to GOD (original sin). For GOD's "likeness" and goodness can never mix with sin. (John 3:6, Romans Chapter 5) Jesus Christ is the NEW ADAM OF OBEDIENCE. In God's beautiful salvation plan He takes a "do not partake" disobedience and removal of the "TREE OF LIFE" (Genesis 3:23) from sinful Adam and Eve and transforms it to telling us "to partake" of the "TREE OF LIFE" (John 6:54-58, Revelation 22:2, 14) through the NEW ADAM OF OBEDIENCE (Romans 5:12-21) Jesus Christ the "Lamb of God". We receive His "divinity" in the Holy Eucharist obtaining our "likeness" back if we partake "worthily" (1 Corinthians 11:27-29) and thereby we truly become Sons and Daughters of GOD. We "unite" with the "Son" Jesus Christ the NEW ADAM (Romans 5:12-21). As a result, we become a part of GOD'S NEW CREATION (2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15, Ephesians 1:10, Colossians 1:15-17, 20) The "TREE OF LIFE" hangs above every Catholic Church altar. 7. "Thanksgiving" or Jewish Todah In this Jewish Messianic prophecy feast the "lamb" sacrifice had to occur at the same time the "bread and wine" was consecrated. Just as the Jews believed they were "participating in" the original and timeless first PASSOVER when celebrating the "forever" GOD commanded Passover (Exodus 12:14), so do Catholics believe we are "participating in" the ONE SACRIFICE of Jesus Christ during the consecration of the bread and wine (1 Corinthians 10:16-17). The Greek "Eucharistia" or English meaning "Thanksgiving" being the One Holy "Eucharist" is the source, summit, and ultimate high point of worship in the NEW COVENANT (Luke 22:19). Jesus isn't physically in bread and wine. He sits at the right hand of the father in heaven. It's blasphemy to keep sacrificing him at every church service. How long does your god stay with you in your body? The host evaporates in seconds so is your god gone at that point? You are obviously not eating real flesh and drinking real blood so why do you pretend it's real? Communion is a memorial of Christ's sacrifice not another sacrifice. It is hard to believe the understanding of some folk is so shallow. Does not Scripture say He was crucified before the foundation of the earth? The Lord was crucified 'in time' (which you allude to) 2000 years ago, but He also exists outside the bubble in eternity where there is no time, & outside the bubble, He is offering Himself to the Father for all eternity. Christ is not crucified again, the timely event of 2000 years ago is present at every Mass in His eternal reality. He is also 'Risen' for all eternity. In his theology, Helios, the sun, was the ideal example of the perfection of the gods and light, a symbol of divine emanation. He also held the mother goddess Cybele in high esteem. The 'bread' memorialized figuratively His who is the True Bread (The One who gives Life in Himself 'on the last Day') 'On the last Day' is the operating phrase of Jesus in John chapter 6. It uses the figure of 'bread rising' as resurrection of the righteous on the 'last Day' language and 'Bread coming down from Heaven' is the symbolic language referring to the familiar Manna experience as the picture of His incarnation 2000 yrs ago in Beth(house) Lahem(Bread). House of Bread was a prophetic picture of His human incarnation and sacrifice on Calvary's Cross. To be offered 'once for all' as both Sacrifice and High Priest. "Wherefore when He (Jesus) cometh into the world (His incarnation 2000 years ago), He saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body (His actual human body) hast thou prepared me: ... By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once (once on Calvary's Cross 2000 years ago). And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins (human priest can never take away sins in a daily ministration): But this Man (Jesus), after He had offered One sacrifice for sins for ever (One Sacrifice, one time, forever!), sat down on the right hand of God; {Heb 10:5, 10-12} The Catholic Church teaches in direct opposition to these scriptures and teaches in perfect harmony to pagan priestcraft. I'm going with Scriptures... His Word and not the councils of man and his traditions. "But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?" {Mat 15:3} "And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. ... Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye." {Mar 7:9, 13} "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the ELEMENTS of the world, and not after Christ." {Col 2:8}
1) How can you evidence that Jesus was speaking figuratively/symbolically and not literally in John 6? 2) Why was this the only teaching (the one in John 6) in the entire Bible - in which Jesus said His Body and Blood be eaten and drank - and people got up and walked away? 3) How can you explain the traditions Paul says to hold fast to (Scriptural exhortation), in contrast to those made up by man? How can you know which ones are true and to be held and which ones are to be rejected? And after answering that, how can you know that your interpretation is the correct one? 4) How do you explain the innumerable Eucharistic miracles; the testimony, example and heroic lives of the Saints affiliated to the Catholic Church and Its uninterrupted Apostolic Succession since the Apostles of the LORD? 5) How can you know that your interpretation on anything in the Bible is the right one, in accordance with the sensus fidelium and how can you explain the thousands of different claims from those that say they interpret it correctly as well? Who's right? How can you tell? Who gets the last say on saying who is right?
Let's ask the same kind of question to Nicodemus... "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? ... Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. ... Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?" {Jhn 3:3-4, 7, 9-10} Let's speak the same kind of words to the Pharisees... "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?" {Jhn 2:19-20} How about the disciples about 'bread' again...? "Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? ... How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? Then understood they how that he bade [them] not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. {Mat 16:6-8, 11-12} I could go on and one.... but the point is that the reason that people could NOT understand that Jesus spoke figuratively is because of their spiritual blindness... what are so many, so PROUD of their spiritual blindness? One last quote for you from Jesus... "Then the disciples came and said to him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?" And he answered them, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. ... This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: "'"You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive." For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.' {Mat 13:10-11, 13-15}
+David Leone' then you don't have supernatural faith. This is needed to believe in the real presence. Take note, it's supernatural, not natural. Every Catholic who has supernatural faith has had some kind of supernatural contact with God. I don't mean the feeling of zeal for religion like when charismatics raise their hands and sing, etc. or when Protestants say they love Jesus, etc. I mean hair-raising, makes you want to fall on your feet, makes you realize how inferior you are, kind of supernatural experience. When I converted from Protestantism, I felt honored and privileged to touch the Body of Jesus in Holy Communion. Since the COVID lockdowns, I’ve discovered that only priests are supposed to touch the body of Our Lord with consecrated hands.
Furthermore, since even the smallest crumb of Blessed Eucharist is the body, blood, soil and divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, it’s sacrilegious to drop pieces and crumbs on the carpet and then step on them.
Yet, with Communion in the Hand now being the norm, the only choices we have are to touch the body of Jesus with unworthy hands and risk stepping on him upon our exit, or abstain from Communion. We have chosen the latter since the former is now unthinkable. We also pray for a Eucharist that we can take with clean hearts.
Its a wafer made by whatever is earthly ingredients. The lamb was a offering not a bread in the passover meal is illogicaland wide off the mark in so called spiritual discernment.
We must go to a Mass in the Old Rite. Did you watch the documentary Mass of the Ages second episode?

I have had friends who have seen images in the Eucharist. One such image being an eye with a tear, crying 4 us. I absolutely believe in the living presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. This is one of the factors which made me leave Protestantism--what good is a church without JESUS?? words on a page (solascriptura) cannot substitute 4 Jesus in person

Has anyone read Matthew Kelly's book? Beautiful Eucharist. Well I have a copy of the book and yesterday when I was on my break, I read the book and the book itself was very inspirational and insightful and helpful. And it encouraged me of what I should do when I receive Holy Communion and what I should do during Eucharistic adoration. If anyone hasn't read the book yet, I highly recommend it.

As I was returning to my seats after receiving communion from the hands of the Priest, I noticed the Eucharist became flesh in my mouth, and it had a heart beat. it took about 5minutes tops. while I was walking and begun noticing this I ask The Lord like Anne a Lay Apostle did in 1985 "Lord are you there yet?" but I did not hear any audible voice. so I just continue to adore the Lord and thank Him for His gift. and I remain in the Church for awhile hoping to hear an audible voice of Jesus. nothing. I did not dream either. but Yesterday at 3 o'clock Divine Mercy I felt a very strong presence that I became deaf, as if I am inside a plane. I stop my prayer and listened, I sense someone holding my both shoulder heavy hand. I got scared a little but I could not hear anything. then as if it whisphet in my right ear but I cannot make any word at all it just too much to take. it like a big slap of air whammm whammm! I continue praying about the leaders of the world. and I feel at peace. I remember the message of our Lady that when we are praying we are protected. so I was not worried if it was the enemy bothering me. I need to practice holy listening... I had many vision of the Lord Jesus but only in dreams and Mother Mary, Baby Jesus and St Joseph and Padre Pio... mostly when they come it is a teaching of this and that and prayers ...

Many of them now preach that the body and blood _isn't truly_ in the bread and wine _(or that there is no real transubstantiation):_ at least not in the way the Catholic Church always taught it. They became intellectuals. Some trying to re-explain what is already known in different ways, others simply repeating what the formers said. It is sickening and they need our prayers, otherwise they will be condemned.
Please pray for Charles Lawson a preacher who preaches much heresy leading man, astray. He needs conviction, discernment. Just listened to his talk on The Eucharist.

As I reflect on John 6, the disciples who walked away from Jesus Christ hadn’t witnessed Jesus lay His life down at Calvary. Jesus’ Word(eat My Flesh and drink My Blood) wasn’t clear as to all disciples. So I could understand a lack faith by disciples of that day. However, the present day, there is no excuse or pass to Lutherans or Protestants. Jesus sacrificed His life and the Eucharist is His body and blood.

I offer a gentle correction. Please forgive me if I come off harshly, it isn't my intent. The garment is called a chasuble, rather than a cape.
The altar boys raise the chasuble so as to assist the priest in raising his arms and the Holy Eucharist in the elevation, immediately following the consecration. Historically, priests wore more garments during the Mass than they do now, and it was much more difficult to raise their arms for the elevation. As such, now, it's more of a symbolic act than it was in the past. God bless you. 😊

I hope to be corrected if I’m wrong, but hasn’t Catholicism made changes to doctrine ? For example, "extra Ecclesiam nulla salus" or "There is no salvation outside the Church." .. For much of Catholic history, this meant that followers of non-Catholic religions including the Eastern Orthodox and Protestants could not be saved. But now it’s possible? Someone please help me understand. I’m struggling with my faith .. and wouldn’t it be true to say that orthodox Christianity has actually remained more traditional, or unchanged?
Absolutely no changes no. Only the rebellious heretics say differently. There is no doctrine the CC believes today it did not believe 2000 years ago. What does occasionally happen is the Pope 'officially pronounces' what the Church has always believed.

Addendum: no one is saying those outside the church 'cannot' be saved, rather, it is highly unlikely if they do not have access to the life-saving Sacraments. When Jesus said these things in John 6:53-57,

55 For My flesh is food indeed,[d] and My blood is drink indeed.

57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me."
He was not meaning physical food. Take note to the very next verse in John 6:58,
"58 This is the bread which came down from heaven-not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”
He is the "bread" that came down from heaven! This is all spiritual that he speaks of and its all through the bible. Jesus also warns you not to eat the manna! Look up the definition of manna if you don't believe me. Manna definition- "(in Christian contexts) spiritual nourishment, especially the Eucharist."
If you notice in the definition, It is man who created that definition thus labeling a physical object, "Eucharist" as spiritual. This is not in the bible. Remember what he said, "Not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead."
Jesus goes on in John explaining what he meant about John 6:54 because even his disciples didn't understand what he was saying. John 6:60 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?”
Here he explains what they do not understand, John 6:63" It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life."
This also gives us understanding of how God leads us to worship him in Spirit and Truth. John tells this before this event in:
John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
Question everything people! Even I who brings you the truth through God's Holy Spirit will tell you to question me because God tells us to question everything. Dont let anyone lead you away from God. Do your homework and pray pray pray and ask God to reveal his knowledge and wisdom to you!!!!!!!!!!

Holy Eucharist Defense
1. "Pascal lamb"
In Exodus 12:3-14 GOD "forever" commands the PASSOVER liturgically as a means of worship, which REQUIRED the "lamb" to be consumed for "Death to Passover". Jesus, the "Lamb of GOD" (John 1:29, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:19) transformed this "forever" GOD commanded PASSOVER during the "Last Supper" in every synoptic Gospel account into the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19). Additionally, in CONTEXT of the PASSOVER (John 6:4) Jesus Christ's "Bread of LIFE" discourse REQUIRES us to "abide" in His BODY and BLOOD for "Death to Passover" (John 6:54-58). ***Jesus states the consequences of not partaking of Him in John **6:53** Protestants.***
Now, everyone was disbelieving Jesus's "hard" teaching about the Holy Eucharist in John 6:60. So, how would you respond to people disbelieving you that is if you were in Jesus's shoes??? Wouldn't you want to provide some "proof" or "evidence" you mean what you say??? How does Jesus Christ respond to disbelievers and what "proof" will He provide per John 6:62???
2. "Heavenly Manna"
GOD provided "Spiritual Food and Drink" (1 Corinthians 10:1-4) to His old covenant people, so wouldn't Jesus Christ provide something for His NEW COVENANT people???
Jesus Christ compares Himself to the old covenant "Heavenly Manna" in John 6:31-35. Jesus teaches the "Heavenly Manna" that came down "daily" will now be Him (John 6:51-58).
In the "Our Father" prayer Jesus Christ is stating "give us THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD" referring to Himself. Obviously, no normal bread bread being spoken of here, but the "Bread of LIFE" Jesus repeats about Himself three times in John 6 (6:35,48,51)
Acts 2:46. The Catholic Church has been "breaking bread (of LIFE) daily" of the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) before the Book of Acts was even written in the mid 60's AD, all along since Jesus Christ's death in 33AD, and to this very day fulfilling Malachi 1:11 prophecy all across the world "daily"!!!
3. "Bread of the PRESENCE"
Along with the Passover, GOD "forever" liturgically commands the "Bread of the PRESENCE" to be part of His proper worship in Leviticus 24:5-9.
In the old Jewish Temple, the old "Heaven and Earth" of worship, a veil seperated two main rooms. In the outer room housed the "Bread of the PRESENCE" and it was separated by the veil from the inner room called the HOLY of Holies - where Jews believed God's "real presence" remained. So, when Jesus Christ died the veil was torn (Matthew 27:51, Mark 15:38, Luke 23:45) separating the Holy of Holies and the "Bread of the PRESENCE" and no longer was there any barrier (liturgically speaking) between GOD'S presence and the "Bread of the PRESENCE".
So, if the veil was "torn" allowing GOD'S presence in the Holy of Holies to flow to the "BREAD of the PRESENCE" in the outer room of worship, then what does the Holy Eucharist "Bread of the PRESENCE" truly become in the fulfilled NEW COVENANT FORM???
4. "ONE BREAD ONE BODY"
1 Corinthians 10:16-17. If the "many" become "ONE BODY" through "participation in" the ONE SACRIFICE of the "Lamb of GOD" Jesus Christ in the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER, then how can the Holy Eucharist possibly be a mere symbol???
Truly, we can ONLY become ONE BODY (1 Corinthians 10:16-17, Ephesians 5:29-32), ONE FLOCK (John 10:16), ONE TEMPLE (1 Corinthians 3:17), ONE CHURCH (Ephesians 4:4-6), ONE BRIDE (2 Corinthians 11:2) through the "ONE" Jesus Christ (John 6:54-58) the "Lamb of God" (John 1:29, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:19) in the "Marriage Supper of the Lamb" (Revelation 19:9) NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19)
5. "EAT AND DRINK JUDGMENT UPON OURSELVES"
1 Corinthians 11:27-29. If "partaking unworthily" is "eating and drinking JUDGMENT upon ourselves", then how in the world rationally and logically can the Holy Eucharist merely and simply be a symbol as Protestants purport???
6. Partaking of "Divinity" (2 Peter 1:4) to become a true Son or Daughter of GOD.
In the Garden of Eden man was created in the "image" and "likeness" of GOD. Through Adam and Eve's disobedience it caused us to lose our "likeness" to GOD (original sin). For GOD's "likeness" and goodness can never mix with sin. (John 3:6, Romans Chapter 5) Jesus Christ is the NEW ADAM OF OBEDIENCE.
In God's beautiful salvation plan He takes a "do not partake" disobedience and removal of the "TREE OF LIFE" (Genesis 3:23) from sinful Adam and Eve and transforms it to telling us "to partake" of the "TREE OF LIFE" (John 6:54-58, Revelation 22:2, 14) through the NEW ADAM OF OBEDIENCE (Romans 5:12-21) Jesus Christ the "Lamb of God".
We receive His "divinity" in the Holy Eucharist obtaining our "likeness" back if we partake "worthily" (1 Corinthians 11:27-29) and thereby we truly become Sons and Daughters of GOD. We "unite" with the "Son" Jesus Christ the NEW ADAM (Romans 5:12-21). As a result, we become a part of GOD'S NEW CREATION (2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15, Ephesians 1:10, Colossians 1:15-17, 20)
The "TREE OF LIFE" hangs above every Catholic Church altar.
7. "Thanksgiving" or Jewish Todah
In this Jewish Messianic prophecy feast the "lamb" sacrifice had to occur at the same time the "bread and wine" was consecrated. Just as the Jews believed they were "participating in" the original and timeless first PASSOVER when celebrating the "forever" GOD commanded Passover (Exodus 12:14), so do Catholics believe we are "participating in" the ONE SACRIFICE of Jesus Christ during the consecration of the bread and wine (1 Corinthians 10:16-17).
The Greek "Eucharistia" or English meaning "Thanksgiving" being the One Holy "Eucharist" is the source, summit, and ultimate high point of worship in the NEW COVENANT (Luke 22:19).

The Lord was crucified 'in time' (which you allude to) 2000 years ago, but He also exists outside the bubble in eternity where there is no time, & outside the bubble, He is offering Himself to the Father for all eternity.
Christ is not crucified again, the timely event of 2000 years ago is present at every Mass in His eternal reality. He is also 'Risen' for all eternity.

1) How can you evidence that Jesus was speaking figuratively/symbolically and not literally in John 6?
2) Why was this the only teaching (the one in John 6) in the entire Bible - in which Jesus said His Body and Blood be eaten and drank - and people got up and walked away?
3) How can you explain the traditions Paul says to hold fast to (Scriptural exhortation), in contrast to those made up by man? How can you know which ones are true and to be held and which ones are to be rejected? And after answering that, how can you know that your interpretation is the correct one?
4) How do you explain the innumerable Eucharistic miracles; the testimony, example and heroic lives of the Saints affiliated to the Catholic Church and Its uninterrupted Apostolic Succession since the Apostles of the LORD?
5) How can you know that your interpretation on anything in the Bible is the right one, in accordance with the sensus fidelium and how can you explain the thousands of different claims from those that say they interpret it correctly as well? Who's right? How can you tell? Who gets the last say on saying who is right?
Let's ask the same kind of question to Nicodemus...

I could go on and one.... but the point is that the reason that people could NOT understand that Jesus spoke figuratively is because of their spiritual blindness... what are so many, so PROUD of their spiritual blindness?

Every Catholic who has supernatural faith has had some kind of supernatural contact with God.
