Although I am a heretic Protestant, this sounds like excellent guidance on how to focus in prayer. God bless Fr. Longua and may all of us draw closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am so very thankful that God allows a sinner like me to pray to Him and always thank our Lord for this privilege. I cannot thank God enough for the blessings I have and to ask God's help in pointing me in the direction of obedience unto Him. Thanks again for this video. I will watch the others and pray for everyone here.

@Elizabeth Orr who said outside catholic church no salvation? U mean to say that 7 billions humans that God created ,will burn ? U make God sound ...let's say just bad. Of course
he s not. Everyone who follow gods commandements ,his conscious which is God s voice inside us, will be saved . Yes the catholic faith is the true faith but the parable of the good samaritan and of the canaanite woman a gentile a non jew back then and what jesus said about how great her faith is, the Roman centurion faith. All those examples show you re wrong.
The protestant guy here is wonderful
He believe in jesus christ but his faith lacking the most important thing in Christian life beside faith :
      THE SACREMENTS

This channel has been the best, most appropriate guidance I've ever received in my whole life. I was raised among the faithful, inside the Church. Then, during my teens, I went elsewhere, found Kalhil Gibran's work and that was a source of inspiration. Got a little lost in a sea of Eastern spirituality, more specifically Sufism, joining a group of "Western Sufis". By the grace of God, I was shown the way out of that labirinth of illusions. Through the few years being in that group, I have truly felt the effects of being off the path and away from the true Guide, our Lord Jesus, even though it served me really well in many ways. To leave the group is easy, so they claim. The members were prominent and successful folks in their respective areas and that made me feel "special" as well. Being thrown out of that merry-go-round was a gift from God. Now I'm back to my roots, feeling the presence of Jesus and Mary, as well as facing the truly hard work of repenting, even feeling the aridity that many faithful brothers and sisters talk about. I thank the work of all involved in this channel 🙂. 🙏

Kathy Dethman Prayer is essential for ALL to achieve true righteousness in the eyes of Almighty God; The Holy Trinity 3 Entities in The One TRUE God. Until we achieve that level of Holiness and your heart and soul WILL realize this through the Holy Spirit we are ALL “lost” just to varying degrees. The Path of Righteousness is a NARROW one and NOT one meant to be achieved easily. If you would like to actually KNOW the most recent words that ARE actually from Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ try reading “The Diary of St. Faustina” to whom Our Lord ACTUALLY APPEARED TO MULTIPLE TIMES AND SPOKE WITH HER DIRECTLY making Faustina “His Secretary of His Unfathomable Mercy” thus the Diary a truly blessed and wonderful read as it contains the ACTUAL WORDS OF CHRIST OUR LORD as recently as 1931:

This for you ? To show you how many reasons I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS as this ALL TOOK PLACE IN POLAND, my Parish was a Polish Roman Catholic one, I am 3rd generation Polish-American and have visited Poland many times as I have Family there of which 2 late Uncles were Priests and NOT UNTIL 2 years ago when my wife visited the National Shrine of Divine Mercy located right here in Stockbridge, MA and brought me home a copy of The Diary of Divine Mercy that again contain the ACTUAL SPOKEN WORDS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST from as recently as 1931 ? (All sanctioned by The Church of course.) The point is there were SO MANY REASONS I should have known about this but hadn’t ! I was both at first flabbergasted and then upon reading it SO filled with joy ! You can purchase a copy online and discover for yourself why.

Prayer has always been helpful and useful towards me in good times and bad times. And my favorite form of prayer is the Holy Rosary because it's helped me get through tough and challenging times such as when I recovered from COVID-19 more than once and it was emotionally challenging for me. But despite of what I went through, I didn't stop praying at all. And the rosary has also helped me in my grieving process when I lost my primary health care doctor to the COVID-19 pandemic and despite of the loss, the Holy Rosary has helped me get through that grieving process as well. And if anyone has struggling with prayer, I highly recommend this book, "Prayer works." Written by Matthew Leonard. Former United Methodist and a convert to Catholicism.

    Christian prayers are quite varied.
They can be completely spontaneous, or read entirely from a text, like the Anglican Book of Common Prayer.
The most common prayer among Christians is the Lord's Prayer, which according to the gospel accounts (e.g. Matthew 6:9-13) is how Jesus taught his disciples to pray.
The Lord's prayer is a model for prayers of adoration, confession and petition in Christianity.
Christians generally pray to God or to the Father.
Some Christians (e.g., Catholics, Orthodox) will also ask the righteous in heaven and "in Christ," such as the Blessed Virgin Mary or other saints, to intercede by praying on their behalf (intercession of saints).
Formulaic closures include "through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, through all the ages of ages," and "in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit."
It is customary among Protestants to end prayers with "In Jesus' name, Amen" or "In the name of Christ, Amen."
However, the most commonly used closure in Christianity is simply "Amen" (from a Hebrew adverb used as a statement of affirmation or agreement, usually translated as so be it).
In the Western or Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church, probably the most common form of prayer is the Rosary; in the Eastern Church (the Eastern rites of the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Churches), the Jesus Prayer is most common.
The Jesus Prayer is also often repeated as part of the meditative hesychasm practice in Eastern Christianity.
Roman Catholic tradition includes specific prayers and devotions as acts of reparation which do not involve a petition for a living or deceased beneficiary, but aim to repair the sins of others, e.g. for the repair of the sin of blasphemy performed by others.
Other forms of prayer among Catholics would be meditative prayer, contemplative prayer and infused prayer discussed at length by Catholic Saints St. John of the Cross and St. Theresa of Jesus.

@@charlessnarls3902 I agree with you that these priests should by all means answer any questions. But I disagree with you on the subject of meditating on the passion of Jesus. I myself have done this often and yes it does grieve me, however it also draws me closer into the love of Christ! And, I find it to be so helpful when I myself am suffering. What you might think it's a horrible thought, and it is horrible sometimes can also be a very comforting thought when you are suffering!!
I'm not suggesting that one should constantly be meditating on this particular mystery, but why should we exclude the very essence of our salvation? I'm sure not everyone can endure this meditation, but many people can. When you say the sorrowful mysteries of the Rosary that is exactly what you should meditate on. And you said it was never repeated? All of the Saints meditated on the passion of Christ all the time. It has been documented in their writings. So it has been repeated many many times.

    • @charlessnarls3902

@@susanr3933 Thank you for your thoughtful comment. But look who told you the saints meditated all the time? Who told you they were saints? The paid clergy - people who mix God and money. If you compare yourself to Jesus-on-the-cross of coarse you will be 'humbled'; he suffered more than you (stop complaining), he prayed and was refused (stop asking for things), he was whipped and held up naked (stop taking pride in your looks), he suffered and died in poverty (stop being ambitious), he suffered at the hands of the Jews (hate Jews), and, although he was executed by the Romans, they were just following God's plan (forgive tyranny). These are just a few of the ideas easily associated with meditating on the cross. The cross was chosen by the paid clergy as the symbol for Christianity because it invokes feelings of fear, inadequacy, guilt, despair, and grief. All negative feelings that make people more easily manipulated by someone they trust.
The original symbols for Jesus were the anchor, the net, and the fish, because Jesus said, "I will make you fishers of men."
The paid clergy embraced the cross - the symbol of torture and death - but they never bothered to invent a Resurrection symbol, they're happy to hang a murder weapon around our necks. Early church history is fascinating but don't just get it from the clergy - they're "wolves".

felix figueroa I feel your pain, as I have walked (and still walk) in your shoes... I have prayed my heart out to God, pleading with Him to take a certain cross away from me. Prayer after prayer, novena after novena, pilgrimages, tears - lots of them. Sometimes it feels like God is silent, other times I have felt His profound consolation. I still cry out to Him, but I am now trying to accept that God wants me to carry this cross to the end and that He will provide for me. I would say pray for the gift of obedience. In the meantime unite this suffering to the Cross and offer up this pain to Him who knows best. Trust that there has to be a reason God is not answering your prayers in the way you want it - maybe it’s for your salvation, maybe when offered up, for the salvation of other souls. God bless you.

How could I recognize that God is everywhere if Jesus was not able to be everywhere. If I recognize that God is everywhere, I recognize that He is not equal to Jesus. If I say Jesus was everywhere, at the Cross and at tomb at the same time, at the tomb and at the fields at the same time, I would be lying.

JGAstaiza WOW, You ARE Confused. All the more reason to FERVENTLY Pray and God WILL answer you. Remember GOD is made up of The Holy Trinity; God The Father, His Only Begotten Son Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. And GOD has always been able to do ANYTHING. Pray more often and you’re guaranteed His help. You already have His Love ❤️.

Clear up this confusion by studying the Word in the Bible. Find a church that offers food for your soul. Join a Bible study group that discusses not only the written word but the spirit of the Bible. Feel free to question, ask and pray. Start with the Lord’s Prayer; since we are told that every person is given a Guardian Angel, ask for Devine help with your learning journey. Request some time with an ordained minister/priest. They have been trained deeply in the wonderful Word. Go to church regularly. You should begin to experience the peace, joy and comfort of knowing you have been claimed by our Lord, the triune God. He forgives us when we confess our sins. He understands that your journey is just beginning; through prayer, ask for help. Our triune God (Father, Son and Holy Ghost/Spirit) will clarify your mind and lighten the load you carry.
      Peace and blessings

JGAstaiza Pray for others and for yourself. Pray often; learn by heart a few of the glorious prayers, that you may call upon a prayer to recite if a need arises. Give praise and thanks to Jesus Christ for showing us the way and, through baptism, saving us. Peace

@@deerjam1 Dear Jan, thank you for the effort and time you invested in answering my comment. I am glad to write you that I have read and heared Catholic sources as you suggested. The answer is explicit, clear and reachable from the Cathechism of the Catholic Church: " They are distinct from one another in their relations of origin: 'It is the Father who generates, the Son who is begotten, and the Holy Spirit who proceeds'." Furthermore, "because He is the free and sovereign Creator, the first cause of all that exists, God is present to his creatures' inmost being: "In him we live and move and have our being."

Russia is not converted. The Catholic Church in Russia is still marginalized. Russians in general are just as secular and worldly as ever.

@John Morris, sorry Russia was not really converted. However I would say the actual country of Russia may not be as bad as the USA in some respects. Putin actually met with Pope Francis and asked to be consecrated and Francis would not even discuss it. This was revealed by Fr. Gruner who did meet with Putin. God help us.
