looks very nice however i highly doubt thats a 10 watt led how mutch power does it draw from the usb port ? keep up the great video's and happy newyear
5volts at 2amp will give 10w which can be easily tested.
@@SKElectronics exactly the reason why i asked lol
@@martijn4740 I have a 3W SMD UV LED. The one in the video seems like the ones I have. The 10W is doubtable.
@@gunox7 yea i was also doubting very mutch the 10 watt rating lol
@@martijn4740 it would be an interesting test to see how much power different USB ports actually provide before failing.
You sir have superb video quality even at youtubes lowest quality. This is so important for those of us who have to pay for every byte. I realy apreciate the professionalism you put into your work whether it is videos or repairs. Thank you! 👍
Some mask was clearly still wet, and is wiped away by the swab. If you prodded the mask after with a clean tweezer, it would still be wet on the top, deepest, part. (very different to the matt look you the mask has in your previous videos once cured by uv+heat)
Sill, leave it under that UV light for double even triple that time and it’s still a quick way to cure. But it was definitely still wet on top after 6 seconds.
The thin layer on top will remain even if you expose it to UV light for ab hour. It has to be wiped. Hot air just helps with the evaporation and not curing.
Always with valuable informations like a library 📚.
Oh the next review...nice, uv-lamp. Looks really good. Thank you for that video and review.
Love the videos man! I am a huge fan of your work!
Very neat! The weight is due to the device relies on impulse use rather than continuous use. It dumps the heat from 10W power dissipation into the massive metal rather than into the air.
Happy new year sir and to your family members and to your tech support team, we learnt many things from your videos
Very handy to have on the workbench. However I must note, having used both the lamp and UV cure solder mask from your shop, that it takes significantly longer than 6 seconds on average to cure - I find myself cycling the lamp on/off five or six times before the solder mask has a considerably solid consistency.
I just love it when Alex says “Look at this!”
Very handy as you can basically sit, leave and continue with something else, like grabbing a drink. lol. Very nice looking lamp.
I still think the hot air + UV light technique is better, both times you brushed the mask with the Q tip, some of it wasn't solid, so the 6s is only for marketing. Probably it is 6s combined with the hot air.
Hot air just helps with the evaporation and not curing. You wipe the thin layer and the Job is done
The "evaporation" process IS the curing ...
Just let it 4 secs more xd
@@NorthridgeFix your timing is way off - I think the second go was around 13 seconds, and the first was longer as well and not 6 seconds. The cue tip took off the top layer that wasn't dry.
Happy New Year Good Job new Item
LOVE IT AND LOVE YOU TY SO MUCH 👍😊
wow what can i sat AMAZING .
I'll be ordering this soon, as well as some of your UV mask. I made the MISTAKE of buying some el cheapo stuff from amazon or something and it just is horrid. Never cures right. I find myself needing mask more often lately. Thanks for your videos!
10W are suspiciously high for this kind of LED, btw be careful with UV radiation, it would be nice if the company gave the output spectrum just to be on the safe side
Not to worry, I held mine up to my face and hands and even though there is a strange looking "bud" growing out of my neck, I'm perfectly fine. Well, it does look like it's growing hair on it and a little mouth and eyes but other than that, just fine.
Say, you don't think it could be another head growing do you?
Ok, I'll have it looked at.
@@robertpage2023 Life is a highly adventurous thing
@Anjellica Kraychek Too Late!! I'm blind!!!!
happy new year alexx
thanks for the showcase, the only thing left on the bucketlist is that new hot air station you got, would love to know how it compares to that expensive station you're using now
The best engineer 👌👈✊🤝
Very nice find and good example. We asume 5v and something like 1amp. As it turns it self off there will be very little heat generated. Ideal for space saving and you don't have to change batteries or bulbs.
When do you find time to look for these devices.
Ah! Now this might just be the handiest thing ever. Gonna have to look into getting one.
Do you include safety glasses with the uv light device?
I use UV adhesive for "instant" fly tying and many other projects. Works great - however the end result is comparatively softer compared than most epoxy type adhesives. Ordering that light here though - that 35 second timer for me is another time saving step!
The LED bulb is rated for 10,000 hours. If you use it for 3 minutes a day. It should over last you.
@@BlondieSL Ya know, those newer emitters last long - but 10,000 hours would still be 5 years of production at the job. What's additionally cool - is there are several types of UV adhesives available - but all firm up less than what I would deem as a hard coating. For 98% of most jobs - it's a quick and idiot proof fix.
@@NorthridgeFixI have that lamp. Can I disable the standby mode?
nice Vedio ☮️👍
Heavy as a roll of nickels! Nice!
Can you measure with usb meter? Is it really 10W? At 5V it must take about 2A. it's a lot wattage from 1 multichip led. Thanks.
It's probably why the timer is necessary.
For me its more like 1W LED. No wonder if someone reports this video.
@@tandzan not necessarily, Alonefire sv003 have about 5W measured, proclaimed as 10W in one chip, but can work continuously, if it's peak over voltage with timer can survive 10w for while.
Yes, this is interesting. Maybe someone who already buy/try it can test and share results here.
@@tandzan 1W LED would be a little ridiculous and completely pointless. Running a 3W Luxeon Star style LED with a GOOD heatsink at 10W for like 20 seconds is completely adequate and not really a problem.
Well RIP.... Just ordered the old UV Flashlight a week ago. Would be cool to somehow have a future stock/inventory system notifying new incoming products.
Ahh nice Samsung Galaxy S III board, i remember fixing those back in the day after the nand chips started dysing because of a modem/firmware bug
Powerful UV light, can i use it to cure UV Glue on screen glass replacement?
very fast. it's amazing.
Nice
5:25 this is very adorable

Like👍💯 thanks
Would be interesting to see power usage via typical usb meter.
Me too!
I think the labeled 10W is just for marketing if it doesn't consumes 2Amps max at 5V.
I bought this, but i found with too big of a blob it will cure a shell on the outside but if yiu poke it with a Needle it's wet inside. If you want thick application i guess will have to do layers.
Is that a Samsung Galaxy S3 neo board? I haven't seen one of those in a while
I received mine today, and it works well, but it doesn't shut off like the one in the video. They may have removed the timer in newer ones, but I'm fine with it.
I timed it for 3 minutes, and it was still on.
What's not better led light uv 365nm? You offer
uv396nm.
What is the type of USB-port for this device?
Interesting, but would like to see that it is actually 10W. I think the results depends on the quality of the mask you use as well. Giving it some consideration.🧐
I'm very sure it uses a 3W LED. The 10W is marketing / light equivalent
Does 365nm cure solder mask ?
Anyway take care, you have to protect your eyes
Help me sir. How to fix sus x455l battery not detect? The battery condition is normal sir.
Awesome 👍👍👍
👍
Not to be a downer but my concern with that is the base is metal what it scratches the pcb or knock off components, 😅 as you demonstrated to be put on top of a motherboard a rubber would have been a good idea as it grip also no sliding😅
i ordered a 5watt uv flashlight. so i have an idea now i can cure mask in 12seconds.
Missed these kind of videos
I want this please online link
Hey guys if you want instant buy a uv laser pen and it takes less than a second to a few seconds for a lot of soldering mask!
Actual exposure time was around 15 seconds. I also doubt its actually 10 watts running off USB. That would be 2 Amps.
awesome, whats the productname so we can buy :D
Heavy Duty 10w UV Light. Link in the description and website name also mentioned in the video. You weren't paying attention.
@@NorthridgeFix thanks for video, ye was a bit to entusiastic lol ;)
can you deliver this light to india...?
China is closer to India. Why buy from the USA. We're not doing India or Africa at this time.
Maybe you should wear UV protection over your eyes when using that lamp? I mean, dentists wear UV eye protection when working with UV-setting compounds.
@UCkfmQjRHghqd-ON9xWEy2uw But you will look at the reflected light...
Not necessarily, as dentist use more wattage for their uv and their uv is more stronger than 10w uv light.
@@AP9311 INCORRECT. I just looked at the specs of several dental UV curing lamps and the highest power consumption among them was only 5W - half the power of the lamp in the video. Maybe actually research your "facts" before posting.
generally, as long as you don't point it towards your face or just sit there with it pointed at some part of your body or something, these small lights tend to be okay. the dentistry equipment tend to just scatter the harmful parts any which way and are less directed in general, from the units i've seen. so there's significantly more area exposed.
the wand style some dentists will use is ridiculously more powerful than this little guy is. 5w base led, directed with lenses and a light pipe, at a higher spectrum (~430-480nm vs mid 300s to just below 400). with a radiation of "≥850mW/cm2" this little one is rocking maybe half a watt of actual output, and non-focused with very little radiation of uv vs the dentist stuff..
if it were a large style on an arm or something and left up off the part a ways and powered by an ac power supply without usb in the mix, it'd be a concern. 10W of full blast uv of any type is.. no bueno. this may have a '10W LED', but they're usually wayyyyy underfed to prolong life and keep heat down.
the habits he showed with it are probably fine for his use case.
@@AP9311 A dental curing lamp I have just looked at online, costing over $400, has a power consumption of only 3.2W. That is less than a third of the lamp in the video. So where did you get your idea that dentists use higher powered lamps? Did you pull that idea out of your butt? I think you did.
Looks wet 4:06
Hey man I'm really tired I've been playing on a gtx 560 ti which can't play the game I necessarily need it to(fortnite)(cod) and a i5 2400 please help me out even if it's a 105o to or something with an i5 7th gen that would be very much appreciated because I really can't with my pc
Was almost 10 seconds if you count it as soon as light was on 😅
It Shud have a setting ware it wud turn off automatically after 6 sec . Jst my opinion
i bet is 30w
I think I'll take this one: ua-cam.com/video/ZFBSVfh-F8s/v-deo.html It takes only 3 sec.
You can't go wrong with either.
And allways use safety-googles against UV-light..
👍
