Thank you for your review of the EAA Windicator 357 Magnum. Mine is the same except with a blued finish. I have had it for several years and it has served me well.
I have two , one of each finish, as companion guns for my two ROSSI .357 carbines. Take it to the woods. Takes a licking, keeps on ticking. You're not throwing away your money.
Ha! I purchased an EAA WINDOCATOR years ago from a pawn shop and shot it just a few times and then the action started sticking. It was a .357 as well. It was black and I believe it has a 4inch barrel. Rubber grip. It felt good in my hand. Just when it started having action problems, I stopped shooting it.
I just played 400 for one today, it will be my first revolver. After buying it I realized nobody has any 357 ammunition where I live, not even online. But I'm still very excited after watching these reviews it seems like a well built revolver.
@@jamesg9068 congratulations on ur purchase. Yes everyone is out of 357 ammo. Keep checking with buds gun shop or Cabela's as they keep getting the shipments often.
Goddamn, that’s a big ass snub nose! I’m watching videos to decide whether to go with this or a Taurus 605. I want the six round capacity, but damn, those six shot .357s have to be big and burly!
Yes the 357 magnum rounds hit hard on the recoil but i'd say this gun takes the recoil much better than the Taurus 605. I like the concealability of 605 but look and feel of Windicator.
Nice gun. I have the windicator 38 special version in blued or black. I wish I had the 357 magnum because it supposedly has a steel frame to withstand the higher pressure. California only allow approved (on roster) handguns to be sold and the 357 version is not. Could you do your viewer a favor and see if a magnet would stick to the frame of your gun, because my 38 has alloy frame and magnets won't stick to alloy. Thanks.
I considered the Rock Island Armory as well when purchasing my revolver. After using both at the range and overall look I was leaning towards EAA windicator that's why I went with it. For its price the Windicator is hard to beat. Good luck with your purchase.
Pls describe your experience firing a snubbie 357 in an indoor firing range without an ear muff.I have read that firing a 357 inside a house is an experience you dont want to repeat.
You'll be deaf for hours or days... maybe for life. Indoor shooting a .22 or .32 is a smarter option. Multiple rounds if necessary. Your ears will thank you.
I guess asian indians like to see gun reviews upside down?! Great looking gun BUT at 26oz its too light to enjoy practicing with 357. I have a taurus 617 7 shot that weighs 28oz and its no fun shooting 357 because its too light and the recoil sux. My recommendation is get a gun that weighs AT LEAST 36oz if you plan on spending some time shooting 357 at the range. Otherwise, it looks like a great range 38 spl +P. Gotta say its pretty nice looking tho
Thanks for commenting bro. Yes this gun definitely wins in the looks department. Shooting 357 does have a recoil that I can definitely feel but its not too bad. 38 special and 38 speaking +p is quite smooth on this revolver though. 36 ounce is pretty heavy specially u can't carry those. I also like the Taurus judge public defender AND the full size judge that shoots 457 casul is just naarly but they r one of the most bad ass revolvers.
I sold the Taurus 605. Taurus was more compact but I prefer the Windicator because it holds one extra round and it takes the recoil a little better than the Taurus.
@@ericguerrero1298 you can definitely feel the added weight and size. It is not my carry pistol so I don't mind. Although it can be carried. I would recommend going to the shooting range which have this gun and test out a few rounds before you "pull the trigger" on buying it 🙂.
I also have this AND the 605. I keep this in appendix carry with an Uncle Mikes IWB Size 2 (works with almost any firearm and it is very comfortable and inexpensive) and once in awhile ALSO have the 605 in an empty front pocket. 11 rounds of .357 Magnum in a revolver(s) dependability, hmmmm. 2 speed strips also in case I need more (I should never need more).
Double action trigger pull not 7#, closer to 12 # and EAA is not a German company but an importer of mostly European firearms. Don't just make up crap.
Windicator is made in Germany by Weihrauch Revolver. Do some research Mr.keyboard warrior. And trigger pull is mo where close to 12 lbs. Maybe u find the trigger pull 5lbs heavier than normal 🤔
I'm sorry but you're guessing the actual trigger pull. I have the same gun and the pull is more like 12lbs. I also have a Colt python that cost $1600 and the pull is 7 lbs. People who spends hundred of dollars on revolver trigger jobs aren't even pulling lower than 6 lbs and you believe our budget guns came like that. If you want to prove your claim, just make a video. If you don't have a trigger measurer, what I do is tie a loop out of cordage. The top of the loop go on the trigger and the bottom on the weights and lift the gun. If the trigger breaks from the weights then you know it's under the weight you're lifting. If it doesn't you add 1lb increments until it breaks. I'm not going to knock you though because when I first bought the gun I thought the trigger pull was around 8lbs until I actually measured it. Also you have to test different sections of the trigger to find the lowest pull. And read what Terry said. He didn't say the gun was not German he said EAA is not German (what you said), which he is correct. They import the gun to the US from Germany and sell it.
Why did you take the gun out of the box, I wanted to look at the box for ten more minutes. I think you should double, triple, and four or nine more times to check it is not loaded, just for safety sake. Did you look into the barrel, you should look into the barrel because there could be something hiding in the barrel so check the inside of the barrel
It's about the gun, we like guns, closeup views over, around and all sides. Work the trigger, the hammer, show the cylinder, its ammo, shoot it, talk about how it feels in your hand, show the targets up close and what it cost you. That's what gun guys want to know, not the container it comes in, not the papers inside, just gun, gun, guns. It wasn't a bad video just a bit boring and redundant in the beginning. Check for safety for yourself before you start, get the box out of the way. We have all seen boxes and paperwork and gun locks. We view these videos for the gun only and what you think of it because us gun nuts might want to buy one. Anyway, I appreciate your attitude, Bud.
Abbas, I was in a gas station buy a soda and snacks for work and a robber with gun came in and ordered everyone on the floor. I have a concealed carry but wasn’t carrying it in the store that morning. Can you imagine what it’s like thinking if he comes over to me and me knowing I don’t have my gun.
