Yes, someone finally said it! And yes, I have the exact sentiment, rebranding yourself works to a certain extent in specific situations, but not in our daily life for the most of us. Love this video and your content!
I’ve fallen for many of those videos. Many of them are full of fresh faced 20 somethings trying to tell me how I can be “that girl in 2025”. And I get hyped up, for a few days. But I’m in my mid 30s now, and have always felt a little off consuming media as such. It wasn’t bad, it was just…off. This is the real stuff, Charlotte. Your content is leveling. Thank you. Keep it coming.
Honestly, I was researching the content I was talking about for this video and I wanted to click on many of them bc they looked so appealing 😅 the marketing works! We have to be critical of it
Can I just also say: all of this talk about femininity/masculinity and the "value" of a person promotes misogyny, misandry, and general cultural strife around gender. I'm in grad school and read a study this year which showed that simply calling attention to our differences creates stigma. I'm also really not a fan of how much capitalist language has crept into how we talk about love, relationships, and human connection. I've been actively retraining my algorithm to stop showing me content about "feminine energy" and "how to be a high-value woman" - and I FEEL BETTER.
I LOVE this. Feminine energy is such hooha. So is talking about people’s value as human beings as if it’s something you could possibly quantify. Honestly I believe all this rhetoric around these topics is meant to further polarize the genders, keep us single and low key keep women poor. Soft life is kind of nonsense, if you want to be financially independent you need to work and work pretty hard.
“If you are trying to live your life thinking about what other people perceive you as, you will be miserable. You will go insane.” Merry Christmas to you, too. Just calling me out two videos in a row, I see. In all seriousness, I too have no desire to do that anymore. Every day I’ve been working on myself, obsessing over myself (in a good way), and loving myself. I no longer hold shame in how I’m being perceived b/c I can recognize that I am me and not other people’s thoughts of me… if that makes sense 😅 Your videos have been so insightful and a great help in my own self discovery journey. You’re a great resource for inspiration and kinda reaffirming a lot of stuff I’ve gathered from my own introspection.
I always thought of Rebranding as not totally true or real because it is a marketing term. To Rebrand a product you do look at the end result you want and then reverse engineer it. Sometimes works is you end result vision is based on some kind of truth or achievable result. Authentic rebranding or reinvention of yourself must start of the deep work inside, answering the tough questions that led you to think that you needed to rebrand/reinvent yourself. Your inner self is wise and if we listen we get the right directions and we are in tune with the creative force that is our true self. I love your content Charlotte. It is always thought provoking and many lightbulbs have gone off since I started watching you. Thank you! You are a blessing :)
I think you’re my favorite UA-camr I discovered this year. I came across your video addressing emotional reactivity in September, when I myself was being far too emotionally reactive in a relationship. I think right after I came across the law of detachment video and fast forward to today, I recently left that relationship and am ~going through it~ currently. All that to say, your videos really help cut through the charade of these rather superficial empty messages about “soft girl life”, “feminine energy”, “be the black cat and he’ll start chasing you.” All of which left me confused and unhealthily holding onto a partner who was just… emotionally negligent. The messaging in your videos (as well as a lot of therapy) have been very insightful and will continue to be helpful as I recover from such a damaging relationship.
I was just thinking about this this week! I noticed I’ve been more slow and passive in my life and prioritizing “the moment” but literally I’m getting nothing done towards my goals. I stopped my soft girl era last week bc girl we are not going into 2025 suppar
Thank you. I feel like my only worth is attracting a “high value man” and that just doesn’t feel right. Shouldn’t have to be anyone other than myself to attract a good partner.
As a freelancer who’s brand is “me” I grapple with this but, like you say, the inside and how you feel is essential. Love your content; love when people are real and not trying to sell me things. I’m 33 now; I’ve done a lot and sometimes when I consume a lot of this media I’m like “what more can I do?! When is it ever good enough?!” And the answer is it IS good enough, you ARE good enough. Capitalism just can’t run on simple, free things, it can’t survive if women just love themselves
I just had this conversation with my therapist. I feel like my algorithm is feeling me this gender war. Everything is divided between masculine/ feminine, high value/ low value men and women, traditional men/women, etc etc etc. It seems like no one wants to find common ground and connect through a common interest. My therapist reminded me that algorithms reward engagement. So of course controversial or divisive topics will "win" the algorithm. I have to remember the algorithm is not reality. These topics are not the common opinion, just the most reactive.

Right?! I feel like that’s so misunderstood. Thank you! 💕

@@lilymulligan8180 yes definitely. the content promotes benevolent sexism, which suggests women need men to take care of them

100% agree! You get it!
I like these videos before I watch them, you always seem to know what's bothering me lol (I should chill tf out)
Love ur content !
Spending too much time on Social Media is like living in a Bubble. It is an Alternative Reality.
I'm not rebranding sh*t. I'm just leaving! Lol
Hell yeah haha
Your perspective and insights are a breath of fresh air. I’m so glad I found your channel ❤

Spot on about rebranding! It mainly is about others perception of you for a lot of people that I know who are personally going through a “rebrand”
