    About the review bomb cape, I don’t think Sony is just ‘concerned’ about it. I’m starting to think Sony is more in the mindset of, “Don’t you fucking dare. We lost out on making them create PSN accounts, we are NOT going to give them a trophy for it.”
    Sony, to me at least, seems petty enough to do this.

    My guy, TBD means 'To Be Determined' , not Decided. What he was saying is that the cape exists but how it will be delivered or when is still to be 'Determined'. Not that they are still deciding to make one or not. At least in context that appears to be what he is saying. ❤

      @@joshmiller9783 I said in the context of what he is referring to, there is no decision on making the cape and TBD and TBA are recognised abbreviations. They are trying to determine/decide (as you wish) when and how to deliver the cape and not if it should or should not be made (the context being everything the dev has said about its existence thus far).
      A steam release date is often written TBD or TBA, doesn't mean the game isn't being made or isn't indeed already made - just that they are yet to announce/determine when you can have it. Although yes Determine and Decide are alike they are not quite the same. School also teaches the difference between 'to' and 'too' I'm told.

    The new drill missions are nuts with the spawns. Even with that I was able to go through and beat the drill mission on helldive with a orbital laser, Eagle Airstrike, E.A.T., EMS Mortar Sentry, extra stim armor, grenade pistol, and DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The EXPLODING CROSSBOW! (Ive never used the crossbow before and wanted to give it a shot. Shockingly enough it was highly effective against Warriors, and Brood Commanders. I just grenaded hoards and mele attacked the swarms when positioning allowed.
    In my matches our teams were by no means coordinated in the beginning, as the breaches kept popping up almost directly under our feet, but we kept fighting in localized areas and supporting each other when possible. Aside from a little kiting for the Bile Titans, the rest was quite manageable. At some point our team figured out each others loadouts, so one player would kill chaff, i would take down medium targets, one would focus chargers / titans, and the last would be a switch hitter. 🌎

      People can’t figure out you can lower the difficulty supers are on 6 now id rather them make 8 and 9 harder than adding more levels and splitting the player base up even more

      I’ve been playing duos on 8 for a couple months and it’s definitely more challenging now. I like that higher difficulties are getting to be more challenging.

      I agree. I get either no hulks or all the hulks, but either way, its not hard. AMR stuns and supply pack would be a good noob build or just run democracy protects perk with hp booster and energy shield lol
      Infinite grenades still exist 😂
      They nerfed rockets on the bug side but the EAT still one shots hulks and you get less of them.
      I only run helldive difficulty exclusively.
      I just run light armor and stim booster and zoom around throwing barrages on all the objectives before enemies have a chance to spawn predictable and ez game.. git gud lol

      I was always running off on my own clearing nests solo + bombing objs and meeting up with the crew later on lol.

      The Starship Troopers Base defense game was interesting, it was just WAY too busy with overkill on all the items etc, I love this idea as long as it’s not as simple as the SES Destroyers, and not crazy complicated like that SST game.

    HELLDIVE is supposed to be difficult. Those winging about the difficulty need to drink a hot brew of cope. And drop down a level until they build up the skills necessary to progress back up again.

      I think they need to add friendly fire on the enemy side. For instance if a charger, charges, and there s a bug in the way, the bug goes splat. Or if you have 2 chargers charging you and their paths cross they do damage to each other.

    ive been useing the orbital gatling barage to deal with all the smaller Mobs that we have been getting its has ~1 minute cooldown with the ship mod. and basicly kills 60-80 % of the bugs crawling out of them breaches if you land it right on the thing the only thing that walks out of it alive is a titan or a charger and im sitting there waiting for one to come crawling out and greet it with a 500kg for the titan or my trusty stun flamethrower combo for the charger. the best part about the orbital barrage is if your running the medic armor you can actually stim through it and survive for a couple secong if its thrown in a little 2 close to you so fewer team kills happen. also seeing thats its an orbital you can take it with any other eagle that you want to run and it wont give you any rearming issues. my favorite part about it is all the bile spewers i have killed with it i kille them by the truck load its the best part of taking it. because i know if i get thrown into a spewer map i dont have to worry if my support weapon or primary weapon can kill the spewers because there will always be another barrage 60 seconds away to kill the next swam of spewers running at me.

    Honestly I LOVE the fact that the behemoth charger is being used and they’re different from regular chargers and you can TELL CAUSE THEY LOOK DIFFERENT. It’s great!

    I wish they would fix fall damage in the game. Sometimes you fall like 7 feet and it takes a quarter of your health away and other times i go flying 30 feet in the air and take almost no damage or the same amount

    I totally agree with you, the social menu seriously needed to be working since like yesterday! How can we have a “co-op” game without a working social menu? It’s literally one of the bases to play the game, but it seems they are not focused on solving this issue at all… shame SMH!

    I think the main reason why the new spawns feel harder is because everyone was used to bringing stratagems for anti-armor mostly, but now chaff clear is way more important. We no longer need 2-3 people bringing quasar cannons, but everyone still does. I think people just need to adjust their loadouts. For solo, you really need to make sure you have a kit that can kill chaff and heavies.

    I agree that the increased number of small enemies can make big missions more difficult, especially if you are used to taking loadouts centered around tank enemies, but it’s definitely doable. One thing that I’ve started doing on the new drill mission is immediately rushing the breaches with flamethrower, MG/HMG, incendiary, napalm, gas, etc. to kill as many of them as possible before they can spread out and surround you. Obviously works best with multiple players. And the drill is so fast, using an orbital EMS or SEAF Artillery Static Field on the drill itself can stop the bugs from damaging it for like 50% of the progress bar. Overall the mission actually seems like it’s in a relatively decent spot, as opposed to the TCS deactivation which was trivially easy and the Dark Fluid mission which could be brutal. It helps that the drill doesn’t get destroyed and partially keeps its progress if it takes too much damage.
    On the latest new crash, my friends and I seem to have it happen when one or more players alt-tab during the drop pod loading screen. If everyone stays in the Helldivers window or even was already alt-tabbed before dropping then we never seem to have any crashes. This is just anecdotal but it may help somebody out.

    2 knives to a Brood Commanders head and they’re done, super wonky to toss, but if you launch them while aiming down sights seems to ensure better accuracy, and helps you go charger leg easier.

    Oh Cloud you are definitly missing out on the Scout armor. Having enemies be utterly oblivious to you as you lob stratagems at them is a delightful option. I sprint about in my Arctic Ranger blue armor, lobbing 380MM orbital barrages at larger bases and simply dipping to come back later to either pick up the samples from a rubble wasteland, or to clear out the remaining 1-3 bugholes or fabricators. Being able to dip out of sight for the shortest amount of time and having enemies be unable to regain their knowledge of my position because they simply fail to look straight ahead is INCREDIBLE utility, worth more than 2 extra grenades or stims easily. I simply take so much less damage i don't even need the extra stims.
    Plus i have the grenade pistol basically glued to my side as anti-spawner utility, so no need to use my armor perk slot up for it.

      New booster that makes everything look like FarCry New Dawn is a good combo for this style of play lol
      I helped someone do the GONE in 360 seconds trophy blitz mission with the new speed setup it's zoomy lol
      We even did it on helldive instead of extreme 😂

    I played solo on difficulty 4 earlier today. On exfil I was approached by four patrols from each direction at regular intervals. Nonstop patrols with no safe direction to maneuver

    They reverted the spawn rate with a few “tweaks.” The tweak was apparently that the spawn and breach ridiculously at the objectives, but not in the open world.

    As far as clans go, I’ll wait to see. It won’t break the game for me if it doesn’t come out. But if it rolled out and all it was, was another of people that you already play with then meh… BUT if this is some type of seedling that will eventually do things like catalog Clan Impact on a certain Camapign etc… I could see it engaging more Divers.
    After saving the kids, with 6 hours left in last MO, Watching half of the active divers fighting bugs on planets with 8-10% / hr decay rate while we squander the cherry on top AT mines was a bit disheartening.
    It was the first time we could have really kept the intensity up into the second phase, save the kids then get the mines. I really feel Divers were just burned out fighting bots.
    That showed me there isn’t an engagement problem in the game, there is a solidarity problem, Divers are clearly giving attention to orders that hit ‘em in the chest.
    Anyway that’s my thoughts on that.

    I know difficulty is a case by case basis but I can complete my missions on 9 solo or with randoms and I'm doing most of the objectives solo anyways so I have no problems with the current spawns but that could also just be that my loadout leans in to the new changes so I feel nothing different other than slapping more Wilburs

    I personally use the viper armor from the super store because of the drip, but my favorite passive is the med one, I wish there was an option to use certain armors with other passives so I can look cool and have a good passive

    My issue is that it is impossible to stop a bug breach and sometimes before the animation has even properly started for them to call in a drop or breach the notification of one already appears. I dont play any higher than 7 diff but even then its abit overwhelming as I never seem to have enough ammunition or just not enough time to reload and even when I do I cant really shoot without trading hits. If breaches could be avoid better where you have 5-10 seconds to stop it and like how it originally was where only a select one or two types of units could call in a drop or breach then It would feel alot better espically with the constant patrols bec for me im having patrols overlap where one arrives right on me i have to deal with but before i can finish it another one shows up.

    I agree a lot more enemies. Was doing level 7 bot missions before patch and average 120 to 140 kills a game. Now getting over 300 kills a game on bots

    I haven't played bugs since the update but my experience playing completely solo has been MUCH better since the patch. Always gotten easily overwhelmed and unable to get anything done solo, but now the amount of enemies feels much more manageable and I've actually been able to succeed. 🌎

    I don't think they changed patrol rates for bugs for some reason, Im stoll receiving patrol after patrol after patrol. I get patrols while Im fighting two others and it's really weird, the breaches are fine but the amount of patrols js still out of control.

    They are likely holding back the capes because technically we aren't done yet. It would look premature to release a cape celebrating us coming together to get all countries to play Helldivers when they are still on the ban list.

    I gotta say last night we got steam rolled...we had 3 biotitans, 6-8 chargers(mostly behemoth class), at least 20 to 30 brood commanders, 30 hive guard, maybe 35 or so warrior bugs, but a butt fuck ton of hunters, hunterlings, and scavengers. Not to mention 3 stalker nests that kept spawning stalkers by the dozen....I think they can tone down the spawn rates alittle bit. Nothing I used was enough to combat such a constant growing force it felt like every wave we killed a new one twice the size would spawn and then they'd call out for bug breaches and even more bugs come out

    I honestly don't have a problem with any spawn rates, patrols or breaches. I play difficulty 6 all the time and it's actually enjoyable.

    For the patrol spawns, getting 4 rocker devastators, 5 heavy devastators, 4 hulks, an annihilator tank, and a factory strider dropped on you is for every bot drop is a bit much. The scout striders were out in force when i was playing Menkent last night.

    So based on what they’ve said previously . They reverted the spawns AND tweaked spawns so that the map is not empty . I believe the issue is with what is triggering the extra spawns. I think the overall amount of enemies is more than pre-patch and people haven’t adjusted to the new nuances of how the game plays with the adjusted spawns. We got pretty good with the old BS spawns, this is no harder, just different

    Since there's armor that buffs melee damage they should come out with melee weapons. Put them in the secondary slot. Machete, Sword, Axe...stuff like that.

    I personally love the more smaller enemies, I run the machine gun as my support, and it already shreds though anything with less than heavy armor, and now most spawns have less than heavy armor. I leave all the heavies to my teammates, and then shred through everything else. I think that the behemoth chargers are bugged because they spawn WAAAY too often, with spawn rates similar to normal chargers pre-patch. Overall, I haven't noticed a significant rise or fall in difficulty, it feels about the same, just different.

    the new nuke drill mission, is really the only spawn/breach issue. i had at least 10 chargers of both variety, running around at once on a 7, with a poor lvl 17 helldiver. and BT`s everywhere. that drill would not keep running, had to keep bombing the area. as there was multiple bt`s on it. and chargers bullying everyone lol. i know we can damage the drill, dont bomb it. but sometimes, ya kinda need that area cleared out.

    I actually love the giant hordes, I just think they happen too frequently. Sometimes the bug breaches just never end. I also think if there are going to be this many devastators, they should tweak the AI so there are more openings to return fire (longer gaps between rocket barrages and chain gun volleys).     I solo dive, since I don’t know many people or those that do play have conflicting schedules, so I can’t get past lvl 4 difficulty when the tier 2 samples appear. Sometimes the spawn rates for patrols and breaches are damn near impossible to manage. Bug breaches in particular because if you run into multiple patrols each one can summon a breach which gets even worse during extraction.
    Automaton patrols are difficult but can be managed better, until their AI stops multiple patrols in the same spot after they finish their walk, keeping them in standby. Then suddenly I’m dealing with 4+ patrols summoning several dropships at once. 🌎

    Friend and I duoed a Helldive level difficulty today. It REALLY comes down to good luck and proper weapons. 4 total deaths but we were sweating hard to win. If we had spewers or nurses IDK if we could have won.

    Though more focus on fixes is very much needed, I find the new Platoon leaks really interesting. It seems like a really nice way to organize a bunch of players in-game. Maybe they can finally make a use out of the completely nonfunctional Bureau terminal. 🌎

    I personally like the changes to bug breaches and patrols. I love just letting my machine gun rip through all the small chaff. These new changes have made it very fun for me to play.

    When I read the patch notes it read to me that the spawns/patrols would be off and jumping on to bots, felt like they had been gifted the ability to swarm like the bugs, where this has been amplified for the bugs moreso. The breaches feel more consistently, but 100% agree with them being overwhelming and I think the assessment about taking on titans rather than hunter points to how you are able to out manoeuvre the cumbersome heavies and wear them down, where with adds you don't have the sustained firepower to put them down quick enough nefore you're mobbed by the next wave. I was experimenting with recently buffed weapons/stratagems and having a bit of fun, so it may not be representative, but jeez, it was more taxing than pre-patch IMO.     It feels like what happened is that they wanted 30% less heavies so they increased the overall spawn rate for everything else by 30%.
    Don't get me wrong, I'm all good for having swarms of enemies to fight, at least bug side.
    The issue is when you have endless swarms of small things and three bile titans and six double health chargers at a time when they are saying they wanted to move away from reliance on anti-tank weaponry...
    At that point it's just reaching absurdity. I soloed down two Titans and three chargers in a recent game while being swarmed, and then when I looked up to see how the rest of the team was doing there were four other Titans up. That's not right.
    We had the same issue bot side Right after the patch. Three striders on extract with a gunship patrol circling them and hell only knows how many in the sea of devastators. The whole squad just left the extract area and we laughed in voice chat about the absurdity of it.
    Something's broke.

    @8:25 - Extra stims/grenades doesn't really sound like an edge in my opinion. You get resupplied constantly. If you run the backpack, it's even more moot. Supply pack with your choice of single-slot support weapon and Expendable Anti-Tank seems most versatile in nearly every situation. Running EATs lets you pick up a support weapon on the map AND have your rockets when you need them on a very low cooldown.

    Spawn rates and patrols are fine. The devs need to focus on other things in this game. Like crashes, story, bad ass weapons etc.
    We need to focus on getting good with how it is. If it's too hard, don't try and make the devs change it to suit your needs. Just keep playing and get better.

    I’m ok if the cape doesn’t come out, also the only concept of the cape I saw was a fan submission, but that was a while ago, if an actual design was decided I’m unaware.
    I’ve killed the charger with knives to the front leg, a few HMG shots to the soft spot and a knife to the leg.

    The cape itself was a big FU to Sony, it makes sense that they wouldn’t let people run around with it in such a popular game, as unfortunate as that is
    Big enemies are easy to handle, but there’s not a variety of ways to handle them. With more small adds I feel more free to slap whatever loadout I want plus 1 heavy strat

    i keep talking with mi friends for the last month how we dont get people having a problem with some extra chargers but not with a miriad of hunters, all around the internet seems to be a consensus of hunters being the real terror in terminid missions as well as rocket infantry in the robot front yet Arrowhead seems convinced we want more of that and less off the "beware and it is easy" type of enemies

    I can't believe people actually think the studio will make a review bomb cape. They won't, they probably don't want to, and Sony will probably have a problem with it. That cape was something someone thought would be cool, and everyone, for some reason, probably that joke the CEO made at the time, thought that it would be a thing.

    Pissed about the breaches too. My friend broke my kill record by getting he got 840 kills in one game. It’s not fair! I do enjoy that there are WAYYYY more terminids like in helldive difficulty instead of 30 chargers and 8 bile Titans at any given time. Now there’s only 5-8 chargers but they’re mostly behemoth chargers, and I only saw 4 bile titans at once. However hundreds of the smaller bugs. I think it’s wonderful, would like more bile Titans, would also like that the damn hunter spawns are maybe put down a bit those jumpy f**ks are annoying.

    Helldive difficulty shouldn't be easy, and it was too Easy for me before the patch! If you think it's too hard now then don't play #9 difficulty if you don't have the skill for it! I even think the Helldive difficulty should be even more hard so only the best of the best Helldivers can do it without failing!

      I disagree... Instead of making all these changes they should have just made level 10 and 11 and so... It took me along time to solo 9 then they changed it and i had to play at level 6... I have since then managed to play at 9 but its 50/50 if i make it...

    My only issue with this update was that patrol spawn rates were not reverted, and seem worse. More a nuisance than an actual problem, but seeing a new patrol of more enemies with less heavies every half minute or so can get frustrating. Otherwise great update.

    since in the patch they said they lowered the amount of heavy units spawning, I've been going on mission with horde dealing weapons and have encountered no problems. Orbital strike, a sentry, flamethrower for bugs and anti material rifle for bots, and for the last stratagem it depends on however im feeling like (exo suit or any backpack)

    Crashing left and right and my mic won't even work in-game anymore since the last patch. Constant patrols around every corner and back and third partying fights with their own breaches and the CMs Devs not even aware of many of these problems... Just more proof that even with all the talk of moving in the right direction, this democracy is still being mis-managed... 🌎

    I prefer servo assisted. I love being able to throw that far. Once you get used to it, it is hard to go back.

    I play on difficult 6 and the game seems just right. Enough enemies to stay busy, but not not enough to make things unviable. Ive been enjoying the game after the new patch

    I haven't run on Helldiver yet, but loving the high amount of bugs spawning on difficulty 8, could do with a bit less of the new chargers but I think the amount of small bugs being spawned now is quite cool, a bit challenging but still far from impossible

    I played today. Had a crash... Befor that I felt like patrols are more frequent than in last patch. Sometimes multiple pats at the same spot. It's got harder to run solo and take out objectives or bug holes. Something I did often in the past. 🌍

    I have about 600 hours on Helldivers and the spawns as of the new patch have felt the best. As should be expected dropping in on the higher difficulties the gameplay should get harder. To me knowing I’m going to complete every lvl 9 mission without teamwork kinda just takes the fun and adrenaline out of the “Helldive” aspect it should give players.

    With the cape, I think they're waiting for an 'In Universe' reason to release the cape. If you talk to the NPCs there's been more talk of voting/elections. I reckon they'll tie it in with a Super Earth election. Because if it's the Negative Review cape, Sony/Steam could shut it down.

    Even if they do a platoon system you know Censorny wont have a custom flag/cape for them.
    If only cause the players will do the victory cape/flag themselves since Arrowhead will probably never be allowed to release it.

    🌎 I would definitely love to see the addition of a clan system in the game. Overall it would make things a lot easier in terms of getting active friends out there and maybe getting your recruitment up every time you're running with a good group of people.
    In general I've seen a huge spike in activity since the patch and I think that things feel better overall but there are definitely some improvements that can be made here. I feel more overwhelmed now than I did in previous weeks, that's for sure. When we were doing the bond operation near the tail end of it, the push at the end at extraction, the botswere totally overwhwlming. I haven't seen anything like that since I started playing the game about a month after it released

    Bots are a bit rediculous when u get bounced and its funny.
    We had fun with the massive swarms of chargers and boimbing them. Felt crazy lol
