This was a mountain suited for Pogi. It was his turf. Now Vingegaard is gonna kill Pogi on the long climbs in the alps and only bad luck or a crash will stop the dane for wining his second Tour.
Vingegaard with an incredible time - breaks the Pogacar record
Jonas Vingegaard didn't just put the competitors to the wall on Wednesday's stage - he also set an incredible time.
The Dane took 20 minutes and 57 seconds to run the Col de Marie Blanque, NTT Data sensors recorded according to the race. This means he beats Pogacar's time on the climb from 2020, when the Slovenian took his first stage win in the Tour de France. Here, Pogacar completed the climb in 22 minutes and 24 seconds.
Quite impressive.
Tail wind?
It will be hard to beat that stage but already looking forward to tomorrow. 😁
Jonas is just a monster
Its just first mountain stage..
Tadej>
Yes monster! 😂
@@dybistyle3573Definitely
Not in 2024.
People before today's stage: "Pogacar is the clear favourite. He is better than anyone else".
People after today's stage: "Pogacar was injured, you know. That makes a big difference".
The funny part is: they knew of his injury before, and yet they all considered him the clear favourite. And now it's an excuse.
The truth is, Vingegaard is a better climber on long climbs. That is pretty clear at this point.
And it has been clear sinde first tdf Jonas was in
Bro I do not think that getting broker wrist that needs operation two months before TdF is excuse. People said that he is favourite if he is not limited by the injury. Today we could see that he is not in top form and that his preparation for tour suffered... So yes Jonas is definitely strongest in this tour and there is 90% propability of winning it for him.
People fall into the hype quite easily...if you looked more clearly you knew that pogacar won't be in form this tour. This few days were literally his official days of racing
@@MrElias1998 wasn't really clear in 2021
I totally agree and I have been rooting for pogocar, jonas is an incredibly strong rider and there’s a reason he beat tadej today, there is still 16 stages left though so it’s surely not called yet
Way to go Jonas. Strongest rider in this year's TDF 🎉🎉🇩🇰🇩🇰
It's between him and Hindley
@@DanielSong39 Hindley will be parked tomorrow where he will not be allowed 4 minutes headstart
@@DanielSong39hindley is not even close. Vingegaard took 2 minutes to hindley in his attack on the climb on 1,5 kilometers
@@Fuzzknuck-vq4nlYes he was. His only focus was on pogačar who is his true rival. When Vingegaard attacked, he gained back 2 minutes on Hindley, who at that moment was in front with almost 3 minutes. That was just a bonus. He wasn’t going for the win today, but wanted to gain on Pogačar. He’s thinking on the long game…
Vingegaard pisser på alle 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
Was funny to see all the couch experts calling this and that about the pog-vingo rivalry and how the latter just cant do anything without his team blabla last year was a fluke. Based on the first couple of stages which were tailormade for pog and really unsuitable for jonas.
Mængden af copium de tager er fascinerende heheheh
@user-ds1ls7kg6e vineshit? What are you, 11?
@@mammasut8280 ? Translation?
@user-ds1ls7kg6e So Pogečar was on “copium” today?
@@Mr.Bear. he wrote. “The amount of copium they take is fascinating”
Ciccone not allowed to pull for Vingegaard on the last stretch, looked like he wanted to though :D
Yea, it didnt make a lot of sense, there was still a chance to catch him
Not loving that action by Lidl letting Jonas do all the work and then jumping ahead in the final stretch to steal away bonus points…
@@caskraker well, he wont have a chance of beating JV, hes not there yet. Jai is more of a threat for him
Danish Dynamite 💪🔥🇩🇰
Still 16 stages left. Jonas will prevail
Well if a Dane win the TDF 2 times in a row, i am screwed CUZ then i would need surgery to get my jaw back in place.
If he doesn't crash out of the TdF, I think you're right. Let's hope Hindley will put up one hell of a fight!!!!
@@kasperrieberg3495 Indeed.
I will also get myself a cold beer and toast the guy for this performance, even if it have been at least 20 years since i last drank a beer.
I am not opening a brand new 2000 kr bottle of single malt for this occasion, that will have to wait until new years evening, the only day i drink.
Vingegaard is the best climber in the world.
Ahhaha Bernal prime>>>🥱🥱🥱😴
@@Atom_Bss thats literally factually incorrect. Its not even up for debate.
Just, no
The thing with steep climbs is that there comes a point when your legs can’t go anymore and you are basically riding in pain. The one who can ride in pain longer excels. Jonas has trained himself that way. Those watts in that attack were ridiculous. Pog will try to respond tomorrow and the worst-case scenario for Jonas is to stick like glue to Pog to the finish line even if Pog wins, seconds won’t be much.
I’m sure they both have.
Jonas is born with an exceptional physicality suited for aerobe sports and is significantly lighter than Pogi.
Jonas est le plus fort ! c'est le champion du tour de France encore cette année ......
Is there a translation button? Or could you write in English?
Bravo Jonas great ride
Very impressive ride!
Die hard Pogacar fanbois will start making excuses now.
They have already started blaming his wrist. Lol
Die hard Vingo fanbois are annoying af.
@@peehi2 Spoken like a true poggi fanboi
All fanbois are annoying.
Vingegaard is the king 🤴
grande Jonas
it's possible Pogacar won't be a contender this year. I think Hindley could be a real challenger for the maillot jaune
agree podager had nothing to react to the attack he hasnt had the ideal preparation fo the tour and it shows.
Hindley is pretty underrated.
Vingegaard caught approx. 1:30 minutes on Hindley on the climb. It's gonna be really hard for anyone to challenge Jonas this year.
@@Matstarx25 hindley was on the breakaway all day, you spend more energy there its obvious jonas was more fresh.
@@AndrezzSpideyzzz It will be more than difficult for Hindley to follow JV on the climbs. We are at stage 5.
Lucky for Pog it wasn't a summit finish or the Tour would be over already.
Let's hope for a great GC battle today on stage 6!
could someone explain why pogacar didnt react?
Lol! Jumbo knows now that Pog is not in form. Next stage they will wear him out and increase time.
@@ekm3820 we still have more than 2 weeks, with good recovery Poggy can may be find his form again.
The guy literally came back from an injury..that not healed yet..yet people are asking questions like this
@@alexyounghunlee
There is no chance for him to recover if he strains this wrist every day for about 6 hours
he's washed up like Sagan
I really hope pog can recover, very sad for him not doing well today
Recover? DO you realize the Pog also broke is own previous record when he took the stage win? ... Vingegaard just broke it even more! So it is not about the wrist; it is about Vingegaards extreme strength at the moment!
awesome
Hebat👍
i didnt expect pogacar to be strong this year after injury that he had....
That's what a lot of guys say today. Yesterday, a lot of guys told us something else.
@@raahauge i dont know what people say but. i knew from start of the race that he cant be 100% fit aimple as that
@@781mm I agree. You would think that everybody would know that. Having a complicated fracture in your hand 2 months before TdF will obviously have a significant impact. Yet, a lot of Pogacar-fans (and others who should know better) have ignored it in their predictions. Pogacar is very good, but he's not superman.
Is Tadej Pogacar done?
Pogi getting smarter.
Kinda expected. I was waiting for this stage to see how Tadej form really is and its clear that his preparation for TdF suffered because of that wrist and now he is just not there with Jonas. Tour is basically over if Jonas does not crash or Hindley shows tomorrow that he can stay with Jonas. Its sad that we got robbed of great battles this year but thats cycling for ya...
Pogacar beat his own record up the mountain though with 55 seconds from what he set in 2020, so his form cannot be that bad. Jonas just completely smashed it.
@@Soli11 Yeah. But they are young riders both getting better every year. I think Pog form is very good but its not top form he could be of he had better preparation...
Palo!!!!
Get blasted, Pogi. Thats what you get for acting disrespectfully the past few days.
What u on about mate
👍🏻
Vingegaard is better in the alps. He will win there.
Tomorrow Tadej will to take revenge 🐐🔥
@@Shadowboost No bro

Pog girlfreind crash in woman's giro in italia

👍
And has been dropped by Pogacar on the last 2 summit finishes. Pogacar came into the Tour lacking preparation and you can argue he has already had his bad day yet he only trails by 17 seconds
I think he did too many races. jonas didn’t do as much and came in fresher
Pog Is not in the form just
Pog Is number one in the world and he is only 24 he will be ok
There are 176 riders. Why do you obsessively keep talking about the same two?
One of the dumbest comments i ever saw
Well… because they’re leaps and leaps ahead of the others when considering who’s gonna win the Tour. The last two years proved that! Let’s see… maybe Pogečar is out of that loop very soon, and someone else is talked about, as a contender to Vingegaard. Then you’ll hear about someone else ;-) It’s quite simple.
At the very least we should talk about 3 riders now
@@BSnicks Well… No. The Way Pogacčar and Vingegaard rides, they ARE the race.
@@DanielSong39 No. It’s been Vingegaard and Pogečar all along. There are no other contenders. One can dream and hope… but NO ;-)
