Hey guys, thanks for checking out this video. Don’t forget to enter my giveaway on IG! With the G.T. Jump, they may give you insane cushioning when you first try them on, but I’d be curious as to how you feel after playing for an extended time in these, cause I couldn’t do it…
I usually do low tops, and loved the Gt Cut, but these once broken in are great. Lots of impact support and bounce. Im also a muscular guy 6 feet 215, so I Iove the extra support. I would give these some break - in time first before you disregard them. It took me about 15 hours of play time before they were completely broken in and it was well worth it. Might be my favorite shoe this year.
Finally! THanks for the awesome review! So many reviewers just blindly pour praise on this shoe just because of the tech.. I'm one of the few who criticized the unnecessary zoom seting that delivers half the punch it could and should and have people who paid a lot of money to get these raise their pitchforks and torches!!!!! So it's great to see someone that provides a proper, personal, in-depth and critical analysis. Loving all your other reviews so far man! Where are you based?
Hey! I’m in Toronto. Thank you so much! I’ve actually watched quite a few of your review videos too in the past, first one I watched was your Giannis Immortality vid. Love your reviews! And right we just tryna provide our honest takes on the shoe. 🤝🤝
I am a professional PG overseas and I use this…the feel of explosive response as a PG is unmatchable with these shoes like you said it does depend on your build but I can honestly say these don’t hurt my feet as long as I don’t tie them too tight I’ve played in pro combines in these, dunked, shooting workouts etc and they are the best shoe I have right now compared to the jordan 13s and the Jordan 36s
wow thanks that’s some great insights coming from a pro! yeah I played in them more and did start to break in better, obviously not your level of play but they got a bit better over time for me
@@TommyLiu4 no problem at all thank you 🙏, yeah I think the hardest part of those shoes is breaking them in but after 2-3 shoot arounds, and not tying them super tight you’ll be able to see the benefits of the shoes especially in a 5v5 setting Keep it up you should try the Air Jordan 36s next best shoe to the Nike Air GT Jumps
I could only hope they could make a low setup. I don’t really want the Cuts, especially at resale prices. But these are awesome. I’m 6’2 and have two pairs. Just got to get used to them. Once you do, you appreciate the cushion more. You’ll get used to the weight and regain your quickness after months of use. But I used LeBron high for many years. So maybe I’m used to it all together. I also run PG. I’d say give them a shot for a few months. Make them your only option and you won’t regret it.
Great insights! I think so too cause they did start to break in after a while. I can totally see that if someone uses these as their go-to shoe to hoop in they should be fantastic with the bounciness and cushioning setup
Man I completely agree, it’s not like you throw a bunch of tech on there you automatically get a great shoe a lot of times those excessive Zoom Air can be bad for extended wear.
What do you think of the G.T. Run? Despite what everyone says, I think they're pretty great. The only problem I had was with putting them on, because of the insole, but once they were on everything was great. Even tried playing outdoors with them and the traction held up. I'm asking because your review is the first one I've seen that points out that the G.T. Jump is actually better for bigs/post players. I found the G.T. Run were good. Do you think it's more about if you're running and cutting versus if you're looking for power and bounce? I don't get why the Run isn't getting much love. Is it about price (high) and availability (they're everywhere)?
Hi, thanks for watching! Sorry I actually didn’t have the GT Run never played in them so I can’t comment on their performance. With the GT Jump I felt like maybe bigs can benefit more from the nice bounce and great cushioning for a high top, other shoes tbh generally don’t depend on your position a good shoe is a good shoe, just my opinion.
I disnt believe you first, then bought the shoes and played with them and you were right. Shoe hurt my feet too. Hurt bottom of my feet maybe shoe not wide enough and hurt above ankle where the top ends.. and dont even think about wearing low socks, your skin on your ankles will come off ..im a big guy 6.6 ft 250 pnds. I couldnt return them so i just losen them up a lil and play with them
Ishould have listened to this review. I bought them. I've played a few games and wearing them is fucking painful. the plastic on the heel is literally tearing my achilles tendons and the mesh numbs my feet, they look like ham in the net
One thing I wonder.... you and some others say 190 US$ was expensive. When I bought my first pair of the most expensive basketball shoes in 1994 or 95 (Air Max2 Uptempo Duke color way) I payed 279 DM in Germany. At that time I got 20 - 30 DM pocket money per month from my parents! With an inflation at about 2.5 % these 279 DM in 1995 would be 543 DM today which correspond to 278 €. The Nike Lebron 19 costs 195 €. So I have realized prices for expensive Nike shoes went down considerably. Even the most expensive shoes have become somewhat affordable during those 27 years. 😉😂
I see! Very good insight from that perspective factoring in inflation. I guess you’re right, I remember buying the Kobe 3s 15 years ago and it was actually about the same price as these. Maybe it’s just when they’re compared to Nike’s cheaper models that I feel that way
Got 47 and 46 at home. 46 not much toe space and 47 maybe bit too much. In doubt. Advice for big guy that loves to really really tighten up the shoe? Does that work right on these?

looks like break-in time is required, but should still be a GOAT cushioning setup
When my feet hurt with new shoes, it’s usually because the middle of the shoe is tied too tight. Flat foot struggles
@@mannypelayo7370 Yes… flat foot struggles indeed 😂😂
I use them for volleyball and used them for a tournament last weekend, they’re very comfortable and slim (which is good for me).

I see, that makes sense. GT cut was great I agree. Will try to get more time in with them and see if they break in later on. Thanks for your comment!
I'm just like you, back in high school there were only high top ball shoes, but now I'm so used to low top can't go back to wearing highs anymore...

Is it because you are flat footed?

They get more comfortable after a while?
@@GiveMeYourSources I have 9 color ways of these. Once you break them in they stop hurting

Yeah decent shoe regardless 😊
Bro I wear them at home while cooking just to get my heels to like ‘em
LOLOL nice man
I love my pair and I’m a small guy. Think I’d love em more if they were a low
Right, might have been a perfect shoe if they were lows.
They have to be broken in. Like the jordan 36s. I walked around with them till they got comfortable
I got a pair of these last week I tried them on and they felt awesome, but I can hear a soft squeak , I wonder if that's normal ???
Yeah for me they felt amazing when I first put them on too. Just still can’t play in them for an extended time
They look like you need to go half size up lol 😆but hi tops will bite into
your ankles after long play

Size recommendation for wide feet?
Really wide feet I recommend going up a half size. I have slightly wide feet and did go TTS it was okay since it’s generally pretty soft.

I’d say with these best fit is to go true to size. The lacing system works well to adjust / tighten so in this aspect it shouldn’t be an issue.
Good video
Thank you!
These sneakers are pretty much unwearable for me.... completely uncomfortable
